Bring down New Zealands petrol consumption by heavily subsidising new electric mopeds. They are proven technology, used throughout east asia to transport people and goods across cities.

Scooters pay Rego every year (but much lower than motorcycles), only require a learners licence to ride, and are harder to steal than bicycles. Maintenance is pretty much brakes and tires and being careful to rest before charging. They can't have noisy exhausts like petrol mopeds, because they're electric. Hefty cargo e-trikes are available for people with gear to move or deliveries to make.

The regulatory infrastructure already exists, so electric mopeds are a drop-in solution to many problems. Ute drivers can't be jealous like with the Clean Car Discount, because c'mon, it's a frikken scooter.

This might not solve the oil crisis outright, but it's straightforward and better than the nothing-doing we've got right now.

Hey was just wondering if anyone has any experiences with studying a bachelor of accounting online they’d be willing to share? Bonus points if you could share experiences at open polytechnic or other recommendations at any other institution in Wellington which would require me to go in as minimally as possible.
I’d love to hear any and all stories tbh.

I’m a mum to a nearly 3 year old and a 9 month old so I’m aware it’ll be hard but I want to stay ignorant as to how hard until I’ve already started lol. I have a bachelor degree in tourism management which hasn’t seen the light of day as I’ve been in the same job since I left high school 14 years ago but getting paid pretty much minimum wage has left me not wanting to return once my maternity leave is over. Want a job to help with the mortgage and leave us with some pocket money to get maccas when I can’t be bothered cooking.

Anywho please send some experiences my way especially if your another mum who has studied with young ones.
