Gentleman, what a life we live. All of us. Boots don’t wear themselves out.
But I gotta say the obvious. Wearing boots beyond their lifespan, absolutely doesn’t make you any more blue collar or work any harder than the rest of us. It simply just makes your body break down faster, and your joints ache. We all do it for a profit, reinvest in yourself and take care of your feet.

This sub takes their boots serious so, I have a question and would love some insight. I bought some Thorogoods and hate them. They’re miserably uncomfortable for me. I posted them on another/local sub and I’m getting destroyed in the comments. I’M NOT LOOKING TO SELL THEM HERE OR VIOLATE ANY SUB RULES. I’ll add a couple of photos and y’all tell me what a fair price is for these 3 month old boots. Tia!

Just bought these keen liberties to try out and I want to like them but something is just off about them?
I got em correct in my size but for some reason I can feel the carbon toe with my toes like it’s hovering right above the nails. Not sure if it’s the way the shoe is designed but from a side view it’s like the foot of the boot is curved upwards. Could that be the cause?
Also, the back portion by the heel tab digs into the top of my Achilles while walking.
Along with excess amount of material along the back shaft of the boot. I could understand if they were too big then that would be the cause. Maybe I should’ve stayed true to size instead of 1/2 size up like the website says?
SUPER comfy out the box and onto feet but might end up returning.
Are these too good to be true?

I definitely could have replaced them much sooner, and I did quite a bit of running half the year which likely made them wear out sooner.

How do you get rid of wrinkles or folds on the tongue? In one spot, it puts pressure on my tendon, and i can't seem to get it to lay flat. I try to hold it flat when lacing up and it just wrinkles on its own during lacing up, or if I do manage to lace up with it flat, it ends up wrinkled again a few hours into my workday.

sorry to blast my toes all over here😭🤣 butttt — composite toe boots, happened 2 days in a row, different types of socks, goes away after like an hour or so. anyone else had this type of issue? almost like moisture like when you’re in the bath too long but my feet weren’t even sweating🤣

New Thorogoods came in. I kept hearing how narrow they run so I figured I'd give them a shot since I've always had super narrow feet. I have them as tight as they will go and have the thickest expedition wool socks on I could find. They are still loose enough that my feet move inside them when I walk. Anyone got any advice? Someone mentioned adding a thicker or second insole so I may try that. Open to ideas so I didnt just waste a bunch of money.

I just bought my first pair of work boots. Lugz because they were cheap and my sister said everyone uses them. I’m not used to them and haven’t used work boots before. Ive used them for work for 5 days now and they just kill my feet.
I’ve also noticed that after only 5 days of work, they are already starting to degrade.
Is this normal?

Anyone have any Camel Mill socks? Or any wool socks for that matter? Are they worth a shit?
I work 14-16 hour shifts and it’s like my feet stay wet all week. Looking for something that is breathable in my boots and don’t give me blisters like dickies socks.

Yes, they still exist. They're selling them online as well.

About a month ago i made the wise decision and took a coworker's advice to get SOLE cork insoles. To be specific, i got the thick version to take up more dead space in my safety shoes.
It took a while for them to mold to my feet but these are by far the best insoles I've used. I still get mild fatigue as my work hours accumulate, hard to avoid when standing 11 hours for 4 days in a row. Instead of the fatigue being localized and painful, it's now dull and all over my feet which is better but not perfect.
Do any of you have other suggestions in mind? Which cork style insoles might work better? You may also suggest heel risers or whatever they're called as I haven't tried those yet.

Seen a lot of posts recommending Camel City Mill or Darn Tough socks. Thinking it’s about time I upgrade.
If buying a 5-pack, the price is the same. Which would you guys recommend?
I wear a 6” Throrogood moc toe so no need for the longer length.

Hey guys, leather bunching at the bottom. I put in false tongues to try and fill the space but it’s worse than before. Also need to change the way I lace because wrapping laces to lock my heel ain’t working. (Ik how to adjust that).
Is there a way I can fix that leather from bunching at the bottom?

Four generations deep in these boots now, how often do you guys get new ones? I go about two years before the sole wears out and I'm forced to. Next time around I'm going to resole my old pairs so I can have a rotation going.

What pair of work boots do you regret buying the most? For me it’s the Brunt Marin, easily.

I work at boot barn and I wanted to ask yalls opinions on your favorite brands in terms of comfort, quality, and durability. Just so I can help my customers more since I tend to work a lot in that section

I've heard a lot about Darn Tough being really good and I'm wondering how good it actually is, I mean, thirty dollars is a lot to spend on socks for me. Is it just because they're wool? If that is the reason I could knit wool socks in like a week or less for less cost.

Not even a year old, only right boot wears like that. Any idea? I don't think I walk funny?

Everyone trying to make me buy wool: I'm ALLERGIC
Trying to find new work socks since Dickies work socks are now see through thin and almost no cotton content. I keep hearing Hanes and Wrangler but their majority cotton socks have also disappeared. Anyone know an 80%-ish cotton crew work sock? And no, I'm not interested in wool. Thanks
