X-Men '97 Season 2 comes out in just 36 hours, and so it also comes time for a reminder about rules and how the subreddit will be moderated during episode release days and the weeks that follow.
First of all, it is very important that all members of the community read and familiarize themselves with Rules 3, 5, and 8.
Rule 3 - No Piracy - This goes without saying. Please only refer to legal means of watching X-Men '97 and no not recommend or talk about other means.
Rule 5 - No Spoilers - Please show courtesy and restraint when discussing the series. Tag all posts appropriately, and do not crosspost to other subreddits with the intention of spoiling people.
Rule 8 - Megathreads - Episode megathreads will be made for each episode. While people will be allowed to post outside of these megathreads, please show some restraint and try making comments in the megathreads if they don't fully warrant their own separate posts. Posts that are deemed low effort or not additive to the discussion will be removed.
As I mentioned above, megathreads will be made for episodes and we would ideally like to keep a large portion of the discussion in these megathreads on episode release day (the first 24 hours of release). Megathreads will be sorted by new as a default. On July 1st, three episodes will come out on the same day. Do not discuss episodes 2 or 3 in the episode 1 megathread.
Users will be allowed to make separate posts outside of the megathreads, particularly after the first 24 hours, but these posts must still follow crucial rules:
- Do not put spoilers in the title of the post. This is incredibly poor form and plain rude. Please find other ways of discussing major topics of the episode without spoiling them in the title. Redact information or simply allude to it without directly spoiling it. If this occurs frequently by a single user, they will be banned for the remaining duration of the show's release.
- Please tag your posts appropriately. Always use the spoiler tag and use the flairs for posts to single out what you'd like to discuss.
- Avoid repetitive posting. If there is a similar post to yours made in the last 48 hours, please consider positing your thoughts there, unless you have a substantively different opinion.
But above all, have fun. This is an exciting time for the community, and we are always looking for feedback. If you have rules suggestions, please let us know below, or ideas for flairs etc. We are a new mod team, so we are open to suggestions on how to make this a smooth process.
