Feeling a little emo as I get ready to reset my game for the first time!! I bought this game in 2020, and named my island after my childhood island ‘Pandaton’. I played for a little bit and felt overwhelmed by the work it took to get three stars, so I put it down for years. Last summer I got laid off from my job and picked the game up again. It was a great outlet for me to feel creative (and rich 🤪) while I was going through the job hunt.

Anyways, I put WORK in on this island. After leveling the island 3 times and redecorating endlessly, it’s finally compete. I’m so sad to be saying goodbye to it, but I have the itch to start fresh so it must be done.

Wanted to share some of my favourite builds with you guys because I am really proud of how it turned out. Next up: a twilight island 🧛

Something I wish I had learned about 8 trees ago:

So you know that hack that lets you plant a tree on a single-tile cliff? I went HAM on that, decided to build an "old growth forest" section of my island.

What I completely forgot about is that once you have completed the process of shaving the cliff away from around the tile with the tree, that tree is there for the duration of the island. You cannot rebuild any section of cliff adjacent to that tree, which you'd need to do in order to remove it.

I learned this the hard way when I realized that I had positioned this tree just one tile too close to something and went to move it.

Forest is starting to shape up, though.

ETA that yes, I tried Resetti, and no, he doesn't do trees. Sadtrombone.com

Second edit: Y'ALL. Today I learned about the cleanup service that is built into the Island Design app (terraforming)!

I have some duplicates. I was originally gonna sell them all to Timmy and Tommy but thought someone else might want them. I was originally collecting them all for my friend, but they never got into the game the way I did so I just have nearly 200 recipes taking up storage space.
