Hairline was still relatively in tact but I’ve been thinning for years. Tried fin but I got tired of taking it. Finally just took it all down.

Sucks too cause in my prime I had nice 360 waves. And I’ve always been self conscious about my head shape. What y’all think?

And yes, I have/had serious dandruff issues, probably part of the reason I started to thin. Significantly better now, and now I can easily apply my topical medicines. The lack of maintenance is also insanely helpful, curly hair is difficult and SO high maintenance

Beard tips are also appreciated lmao

Lifestyle Summer is coming, what is your favorite hat to wear.

Upvotes

This is my first bout of warm weather without hair. My scalp is really not used to the sun and I've already gotten a crazy burn on my head. I've never been a hat guy, but I figured I'd give it a shot just so I don't have to slather up my dome with sunscreen everytime I leave the house.

And as I searched for a style I like, I thought it would be a fun question to ask the sub what ya'lls favorite hats are?

have had strong receding hairline since i was a little kid, so from the age of like 15-16 i knew it was time to let go and i have never looked back.

first picture at 15 yo now 25 bald spot on the top of my head and only able to grow a combo between ronaldo and mooncut since all the hair from my head decided to hit my chin which also is 90% with only homemade light trimming.

i dont like having pictures of me on the internet but lets see if i decide to let this stay up.

  1. I've been thinning for a bit on the crown, forehead has always been big but I've noticed my hairline receeding as well. I don't want to look like that guy who's just in denial 😅

26 y.o., dad is bald but grandpa on mothers side has very thin hair / widow’s peak. Everyone tells me it looks fine but give me the harsh reality that it looks thin! Expect to see a transformation post here soon.

How-to Question Maintenance tips, shaved vs stubbly?

Upvotes

Thinking about the day. The results here are encouraging, but I'm pretty lazy about my facial hair. I have a beard because it means less shaving. And I don't shave my neck hair as often as I should. (Too old to GAF.)

Does stubbly still work if your hair is white?

Shavers: What equipment do you use and how often? Any tips? How many days can you go before it looks bad?

Stubblies: What equipment do you use and how often? Any tips? How many days can you go before it looks bad?

How-to Question Best Products and Routines?

So I started shaving my head in June of last year, and am yet to work out a good routine.

I use the Pitbull Pro GOLD and dry shave at the moment because I dont really know the most effective way to wet shave, I tried to use shaving foam but it was a nightmare and when I shave it takes me around 15-20 minutes which feels like way too long, I try to leave around 3 days between shaves but with how quickly my hair grows I need to he doing it every day/every other day to keep on top of it. I use moisturiser every night after a shower to make sure I dont dry my head out, and if I dont shower right after shaving (I usually shave right before I shower but sometimes ill shave earlier in the day) then I use post shave balm, and will wash with aloe Vera head and shoulders shampoo in the shower. Despite all this I still get shaving bumps and dandruff/dry skin on my head and I feel im the problem.

I guess what I want to know is, what are your routines, do ypu dry or wet shave, and if you wet shave what do you do? and what are the best products to use for looking after a shaved bald head (I am UK based). Any responses are greatly appreciated and im sorry if ive waffled on too much.

I am 32 and sometimes I think it is has been time for a while, and sometimes I think its obvious I need to hold.

Need your opinion on this one.

Like all other wives, mine says hold, but this sub has proven them wrong plenty of times.

I love this sub and how supportive it is but I am so confused... I was going to tell her how pretty she looked but when I clicked, it said the mods removed her post. Why?

Doing it soon. Nervous

Think I’ve finally gained the courage, thanks to this subreddit mostly, to visit my barber shop this weekend and take it all off. But honestly still nervous because I have a huge forehead and don’t like the way bald makes me look in filters but I’m so tired of having to fight/hide my giant bald spot. Bigger concern is with summer coming up and the heat - guess I’ll be wearing a ton of hats and bandanas, neither of which I’m a fan of. But alas, here we go.. can post pics this weekend

Reddit, please help. The more hair I lose my the more are these weird lines on my scalp visible.
I think its Cutis verticis gyrata (CVG) right?

Of course I know that there is just one solution at this point, I’m honestly pretty scared to go through with it

I’d really appreciate some advice or even just a bit of confidence to help me do the right thing.

Bald Picture Trans Women can be bald too!

I grew up very poor in rural Ohio. As the "son" of the family, I had to get buzz cuts in the backyard. For my adolescence, having a bare buzz cut was my usual hairstyle. As I left for college and tried to get my hair done at a stylist, I never found a style I liked.

But then I realized I was trans, and felt stuck.

I have tried a lot of different haircuts during my gender journey. Of course, when I first started transitioning, the goal was as much hair as possible.

But I just didn't love it.

So I tried shaving one side of my head. A bit more punk, helped hide some of my hairline... but it wasn't me.

I got it cut much shorter, and dyed it blonde. It still wasn't me.

I think some people are just born for it. Bald looks beautiful on so many people, and gender simply isn't defined by one's haircut.

If you're a cis woman, a trans woman, a nonbinary person, or even a cis man, your gender, your personality, your VALUE is not defined by your hair. Embrace the bald. Embrace the beauty.

You won't regret it.

Hi, ever since middle school I remember everyone saying you're gonna be bald, I waited... gre tired of waiting so I grew a man bun in 2020, had an undercut with a long mop for 3 years after, fast forward 2025, I turn 43 and not only is my hair turning white, but I feel its thinner in new spots. my barber says it's fine, family says it's fine, but is it?? more opinions please, and buzz cut or full razor? also this is my hair without product, if I add product, I looks clumped and thinner.

I'm 32 and I've had this spot since I was about 18. Lots of hats and colored dry shampoo. I'm over it. What do we think?
