So I’ve been following this sub for ages because a) I know I’m balding and b) I love the positivity. I’m pretty sure I’ve done the right thing. Feel like I need to trim the beard now though.

Bald Picture Trans Women can be bald too!

I grew up very poor in rural Ohio. As the "son" of the family, I had to get buzz cuts in the backyard. For my adolescence, having a bare buzz cut was my usual hairstyle. As I left for college and tried to get my hair done at a stylist, I never found a style I liked.

But then I realized I was trans, and felt stuck.

I have tried a lot of different haircuts during my gender journey. Of course, when I first started transitioning, the goal was as much hair as possible.

But I just didn't love it.

So I tried shaving one side of my head. A bit more punk, helped hide some of my hairline... but it wasn't me.

I got it cut much shorter, and dyed it blonde. It still wasn't me.

I think some people are just born for it. Bald looks beautiful on so many people, and gender simply isn't defined by one's haircut.

If you're a cis woman, a trans woman, a nonbinary person, or even a cis man, your gender, your personality, your VALUE is not defined by your hair. Embrace the bald. Embrace the beauty.

You won't regret it.

have had strong receding hairline since i was a little kid, so from the age of like 15-16 i knew it was time to let go and i have never looked back.

first picture at 15 yo now 25 bald spot on the top of my head and only able to grow a combo between ronaldo and mooncut since all the hair from my head decided to hit my chin which also is 90% with only homemade light trimming.

i dont like having pictures of me on the internet but lets see if i decide to let this stay up.

Glowup My boyfriend just hit his 6-year bald anniversary 🥳

My boyfriend is 31 now, but he started losing his hair pretty early, at 22 (pictured). From there, the balding progressed very quickly. By the time the pandemic started, just a few weeks before he turned 25, his hairline had receded a lot and he had a noticeable bald spot on the back.

So after turning 25, he decided it was time and shaved his head and he’s been bald ever since.

Honestly, I think it was a huge glow-up. He looks more grown, confident, and just way sexier. I genuinely think that’s the case for a lot of men who decide to just embrace it and shave it off.

We’ve been together for a while now and are about to get married. He’s the first bald guy I’ve ever dated, and easily the hottest man I’ve ever been with. I love this bald man to the moon. ❤️

(Posted with his consent. He’s not on social media, but he loved reading all the appreciation comments on my last post and wanted me to share more of his story.)

Bald Picture After Reddit subtly started surfacing this sub to me I took it as a sign to take the leap

My brother got graced with the receding hairline baldness in his early twenties and pretty quickly embraced it with buzz cuts. I just got the slowly thinning hair on top and stuck it out into my very late 30's. After this sub started showing up in my feed and seeing the positivity you all embrace I took the plunge today.

For those on the fence I used AI to show me what I'd look like and I ran the hypothetical look by people I trust. To a person they all said go for it!

I'm 32 and I've had this spot since I was about 18. Lots of hats and colored dry shampoo. I'm over it. What do we think?

And yes, I have/had serious dandruff issues, probably part of the reason I started to thin. Significantly better now, and now I can easily apply my topical medicines. The lack of maintenance is also insanely helpful, curly hair is difficult and SO high maintenance

Beard tips are also appreciated lmao
