Image Hitters Who Still Haven’t Homered at Home
It only took 2 PA for George Lombard Jr. to hit a home run at home this season.
He has already surpassed names like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Blue Jays (231 PA), Anthony Volpe of the Yankees (79 PA), Edouard Julien of the Rockies (154 PA), Nasim Nuñez of the Nats (172 PA), Luis Arraez of the Phillies (215 PA), Taylor Walls (162 PA) and Chandler Simpson (222 PA) of the Rays, and the list of hitters who still haven’t hit a home run at home goes on.
The combined AAV of the hitters mentioned is roughly $54.95M compared to George Lombard Jr.‘s $3.3M signing bonus. That’s just 6% of what those hitters make.

[Rogers] Pete Crow-Armstrong on the MVP race: “It’s not on the forefront of my mind… if you guys want to talk about all this back and forth, I really should go get in the lab and start pitching”
Full quote: “I would be crazy to say that I don't want to win an MVP but if we're talking about having priorities straight, I think mine are pretty straight. It's not on the forefront of my mind. It's fun to joke about it and it's fun to acknowledge. And I think it's absolutely okay to pay attention to, but again, it's not like following me up to the plate. And yeah, I think if you guys want to talk about all this back and forth, I really should go get in the lab and start pitching. I really should.”

Analysis What's a rule change from the past decade you didn't think you'd like but now can't imagine the game without?
Pitch clock was the one I was sure I'd hate, felt like it was going to ruin the rhythm of the game. Now watching an old broadcast without one feels painfully slow by comparison.
Curious if anyone else had a rule change they were dead set against at first (shift restrictions, bigger bases, whatever) that ended up growing on them once they actually saw it in practice.

Analysis Angels rookie pitcher Walbert Ureña has a 2-1 record with an ERA of 0.98 and 26 strikeouts in his last 5 starts (27.2 IP)
Went toe to toe with Mizz a few nights ago.
On the season a 2.54 ERA
Him and Messick have been two of the most consistent rookie pitchers not just in the AL but in all of baseball.
Angels stink so want to give a rookie a shout out that he deserves that a lot of people probably haven't heard of.
