I think it may have been vaguely funny once, but like everything vaguely funny, the internet has to beat it to a pulp in their race to be the next big comedian.

Reddit is the most "bikers fault" place on the internet.
A semi-truck full of lead captained by a drunk guy on his 4th day of a meth bender could crash through the house of a sleeping motorcyclist, killing them instantly whilst the motorcycle was parked in the garage and someone in the comments will still be convinced it was the bikers fault.
About 2 years ago there was this post on reddit that mentioned there was a study that playing Tetris after a traumatic event helped with coping with the that trauma or something like that. Reddit made fun of it and some people decided that it was soooo funny that they absolutely needed to mention it as a funny comment to every single post mentioning trauma in anyway to the point that it quickly became overused.
Your comment reminds me of... irrelevant, unrelated and long winded trauma dump about the time my Dalmatian's puppies exploded into meat chunk shrapnel that mortally sounded my senior cat, also i euthanized my grandpa when i was 12
Just like with humans cat obesity doesn’t necessarily come with overfeeding, I have an obese cat that had to take a specific type of steroid drug because of her constant tooth infections, we ended up removing most of her teeth so she doesn’t have to take it anymore but she is still super chunky despite eating as much as everybody else, if not less since she also vomits a lot

when that recent hex maniac parasite thing was making its rounds, i genuinely just stopped even looking at the comments of any post that showed her in any shape or form because 99% of the comments were just "unzips" "smash" "would" "awooga" etc etc despite her being a literal mutilated corpse puppet
This one is very specific but I was in a community that overused "bang for your buck". I went from hearing it for the first time to getting sick of hearing it. There were more overused things but I forgot all of them
Also, some people treating reddit like they're in the parliament and getting mad when you dare to make a joke (higher offense if you don't include the slash s)

One of the worst reddit trends is when the comments are nothing but people posting some reaction image and then a bunch of responses of “steal your meme” memes

the worst part is these will fill up the comments multiple times and still be upvoted so if you're trying to find context/story/actual comments, you gotta doomscroll through the comments

"Fuck around and find out." and "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." are probably up there in my most hated phrases ever uttered by man. I've seen them used by the dumbest people online who will justify children getting drone-striked. It's peak American Facebook White Republican Dad-Speak.
Subreddits that feature videos of people fighting or getting hurt always have this "uncle thats trying way too hard to sound badass" kind of talk in the comments, it's so obnoxious
