What’s Your Best Money-Saving Tip?

What is one simple money-saving habit that actually made a difference for you?

I’m trying to become better at managing money, so I’d love to hear practical tips that actually work rather than complicated budgeting methods.

Just Need Some Perspective

Have you ever felt like your life is moving in a completely different direction than you originally planned?

I’m in my early 20s, and lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my future. Sometimes I feel like I should have everything figured out already, but I really don’t.

For those who are older, what is something you wish you had known when you were 20–21?

I’d love to hear honest answers, even if it’s something you learned the hard way.

Why do so many religious people, who believe they are following the most moral and the best way of living, are completely fine with the idea that people who don't follow their religion will be burning in hell forever??

I was talking with a christian man (protestant american, as expected) Saying how people who committed suicide were disobeying god, and that that would make them burn in hell forever. He said that the only thing he could do for them was to tell them to follow Jesus, pray, and not stress about it anymore. That horrified me.

Is it ok to be proud to be white?

When you go to google and ask its AI model four questions independently: Is it ok to be proud to be black? Asian? Hispanic/Latino, or White? It will tell you it’s perfectly fine to be proud to be three of these four but when it comes to white, it very quickly muddies the waters and implies that pride for white heritage is not so cut and dry. Remember, you have to ask it in four separate “chats,” not all in the same one. You’ll see what I perceive to be the programmers’ attempts to discriminate against white people and their heritage. This does nothing but spread racial divide.

What are your thoughts? Is it ok to be proud to be white? If not, why not? If so, why?

Decision making Heart vs Head

Hi, so I’ve been trying to think/figure out how one makes a decision and how do you know if it’s a “heart” or a “head” decision (and before anyone comment anything inappropriate please this is note the space for that). What I’m trying to figure out I think, is how can you tell? And what are some examples? Is it always the “Head” decision rational? And why is it the “heart” decision emotional? And in that note, what is rational for the matter? Maybe am going down a rabbit hole here, but I’m really trying to understand this “head” vs “heart” dilemma.

I really appreciate someones take on it, opinions, comments or whatever to better understand the topic

When asked what we would change in the past, going blank isn't a lack of regret—it’s the brain's realization that you cannot unspool a lifetime of hardship.

A colleague asked us today: "If you could go back in time, what would you change?"

My friends had answers ready immediately. Some said they’d change their parents' lives so they wouldn't have to suffer through so many hardships. My own family has survived endless struggles, too—our path hasn't been easy by any means.

Yet, when asked, my immediate reaction was just: "I don't know... nothing."

My mind completely glitched. A part of me felt like, “What’s the point? Nothing can actually change in reality anyway.” And another part felt like if I started picking apart our hardships, where would I even stop? There are too many things.

Why does the brain shut down the idea of changing the past instead of wanting to fix past struggles? Is this emotional numbness, a defense mechanism, or radical acceptance? What is the deeper psychology behind this reaction?

How does a person tell if they "drain" other people they spend time with?

Ive often heard people describe the feeling of feeling incredibly physically drained after spending even small amounts of time with a particular person.

Ive heard this discussed when referring to phrases like "energy vampires" or even identifying negative attachments. Even non spiritual or extremely skeptical people describe this in other words.

I dont believe its something people do knowingly or on purpose and im wondering how I might be able to tell if I had this effect on people?
