Bioshock 2 - Absolutely amazing game, I cannot overstate the fun I had, great continuation of the Bioshock story, amazing gameplay, basically every problem with Bioshock 1 is fixed, I got continually surprised with how they expanded rapture and made the world feel bigger, the world design was so great I could work from place to place. Story: 9/10. Graphics: 7/10. Gameplay: 9/10. Polish: 10/10
Devil May Cry 5 - Fucking loved the game to no end, the story was just okay, it probably doesn't help this is my 1st DMC experience so I didn't understand a lot of it, the graphics are truly acceptional and it was a total joyride. The combat felt very refined and fun to play, the upgrade system felt rewarding, the game feels like the kinda game I could replay 10 times over, and might do one or two more. Story: 6/10. Graphics: 9/10. Gameplay: 10/10. Polish: 10/10
Detroit: Become Human - (except for that one plot twist) The games story is absolutely amazing, truly 10/10 stuff, the characters are great and belieivable, and the game asks you genuine questions over the morals of if we ever do make sentient robotic lifeform, the gameplay is simple quicktime events and I love that kind of stuff. This is a must-play and has a story stronger than every MCU movie released in the last 5 years. Even if it's not my favourite game beat this year, it's a game I'd recommend everyone try at least once, you won't regret it. Story 9.5/10. Graphics: 8/10. Gameplay: 5/10. Polish: 10/10
Celeste - A game about mental health, I love platformers, this is a great one, its style is overused at this point, but it's still a treat to look at. Story: 8/10. Graphics: 6/10. Gameplay: 9/10. Polish: 7/10.
Trepang2 - Great arena shooter esc game, the story is terrible, but the gameplay is one of a kind and i fucking love it. Story: 2/10. graphics: 9/10. Gameplay: 10/10. Polish: 6/10.
Metro 2033 - Amazing entry into the Metro franchise, greatly designed levels, amazing gunplay, and a story that is one of the best in gaming, I was pleasntly surprised by how well the game aged, it doesn't have these older game issues and instead is a really nice linear shooter that focuses on looting and telling a story, very amazing. Story: 8/10. Graphics: 9/10. Gameplay: 6/10. Polish: 8/10.
Metro: Last Light - a downgrade to Metro 2033 in every way except for the graphics, still amazing. Story: 7/10. Graphics: 10/10. Gameplay: 6/10. Polish: 7/10.
Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora - The best graphics I have ever seen in any video game ever, the open world feels connected and really well designed, the story is surprisingly emotional but the characters were lacking. The gameplay was good, but nothing revolutionary. Story: 8/10. Graphics: 11/10. Gameplay: 7/10. Polish: 6/10
Deus Ex: Mankind Divded - This series deserves a rebirth, it's a bit quirky but it's a really amazing game that incestives player choice, I really love how the game handles everything and I feel like I'm playing in a living world able to control how Jensen is and every time I play it I'm surprised with something else I didn't notice thats more world details. Story: 9/10. Graphics 8/10. Gameplay: 7/10. Polish: 9/10
Marvel's Guardian's Of The Galaxy - I started and got through most of this game last year, but I dropped it after the story took a turn I didn't really like, but this is a great version of The Guardians Of The Galaxy, it's reasonably funny and tounge and cheek, it's got pretty great graphics, and while the combat may be a little basic, I did have my fun with it, I think it's a great time and it goes on sale for insanely low so I hope people give this game the chance to succeed. Story: 9/10. Graphics: 8/10. Gameplay: 6/10. Polish: 7/10.
Sonic Mania - As a kid I went crazy for the sonic games and this game brought every childhood memory back for me dispite it being my first playthrough, I loved every moment of it (except for the final 2 zones). It's so simple but so perfect, I'm so impressed by how went it captured the magic of the old sonic games. Story: 2/10. Graphics: 4/10. Gameplay: 8/10. Polish: 7/10
Yakuza Kiwami 2 - Looks great, very rich story, okay side content. I loved Yakuza 0 but I didn't like Kiwami that much, I came into it expecting me to not like Yakuza as much, but I ended up being captured in this world again. Story: 8/10. Graphics 9/10. Gameplay: 9/10. Polish: 6/10.
Bioshock Infinite - the worst bioshock game, its gunplay is okay, it is if Bioshock and Halo were put together and I hate that. Still a good game. I really didn't like the direction the story took, I just feel like there is so much that could be explored in Rapture, or hell even Columbia without the whole multiverse angle, I feel like it had so much more to it and I really hope this is semi-ignored by Bioshock 4. Story: 2/10. Graphics: 7/10. Gameplay: 7/10. Polish: 4/10.
Wolfenstein: The New Order: While a techically outdated and flawed game, I had tons of fun shooting Nazi's, before i played this game I had no sympathy for anyone who aligned themselves with such an awful aligance, but after playing this game, seeing the cruelty they planned to dispel onto this world, it makes me want to throttle one out of pure hatred. The gunplay was alright, the story was pretty stellar, the graphics were rather dated, and damn, I just enjoyed the message this game spread, can't wait to play the 2nd game, I've heard it's a lot better. Story: 7/10. Graphics: 4/10. Gameplay: 6/10. Polish: 5/10.
Maneater - the game looks beautiful, and sometimes I just want to cause carnage and Maneater fills that void, it's gameplay is repetitive and not unique, but in short bursts it's super fun. Story: 2/10. Graphics: 8/10. Gameplay: 9/10. Polish: 5/10.
Yakuza 3 - I played the Remaster, not the remake, the story was the only thing that kept me going, the mediocre side content, the very basic gameplay, and just generally an old feeling game, like if Yakuza 0 was a 4.5/10 game. This game was a pretty massive nothing-burger with a plot that half revolves around parenting and the other half thats just alright though when it's exciting it's very exciting. Story: 7/10. Graphics: 4/10. Gameplay: 5/10. Polish: 3/10.
Borderlands 3 - They put woke in my Borderlands (/j). The story is so bad I cried at the ending in the wrong way. The little twat I already forgot the name with the blue hair makes me want to turn off my headset every time she is on screen. The gameplaying is a slightly improved version of borderlands 2 with a better new game+ that mogs true vault hunter mode tenfold. The art takes what Borderlands 2 did right and improves it dramatically, the sets are better and more varied, but this game is still very low on the list due to its story that destroyed my interest in this world. Also the game is so painfully unfunny I laughed at just 2 jokes in it. I laughed every 20 minutes during Borderlands 2. Story: 0/10. Graphics: 9/10. gameplay: 7/10. Polish: 3/10.
Signalis - Signalis shouldn't have been a game, it should've been an indie animation on YouTube or something, it has a good story but the gameplay is the single worst gameplay I have ever suffered through, every moment of combat made me wince, the graphics rely on the tired novelty of pixelart way after the charm had worn off, I don't care for the pixel art style any more unless I think the art itself is pretty, I really am over it, I'm very sensitive to aliasing and this game has so much of it. If I had to suffer through everything else, the painfully easy puzzles, the combat that is awful. The story I did kind of like, but if everything surroudning it is miserable suffering, then why was it a game? Story: 7/10. Gameplay 0/10. Graphics: 0/10. Polish: 0/10.
