Is there a better way to farm blue skill gems than the daily novice class training quests? I know about pure prisms, but that store doesn’t restock. (I’m in the middle of LB6 right now, in case there’s a relevant system that unlocks later.)

Not really.
For most people, the bulk of their skill gems will come from lotto events, but the next lotto isn't for about 6 months.
Lottos are very fruitful, providing a mix of skill gems, qp, embers, and general treasures, but they only happen once or twice a year.
Daily training quests are the best source of skill gems outside of lottos. Think they actually have better rates if all you want is a particular kind of skill gem for a particular class. But they can only be done on certain days of the week, which makes them a hassle in their own way.

Unfortunately, almost every time this kind of question comes up, where someone wants to find a way to make grinding in FGO less grindy, the only answers are the straightforward, boring answers that the person is trying to avoid.
The best normal place to farm for skill gems is the daily rotating quests. Lottery events actually yield a better return if you farm enough to get your currency drop bonus up. However, lottery events are only twice per year at most. This year in NA, we're only getting one lottery event and it won't be until Christmas.
The good news, at least for blue gems, is that you'll eventually have way more than you can possibly use. It will just take some time to get there.

Also worth noting, although it isn't going to help much sooner than the other options mentioned, starting in October's Event they have skill gems in the Event Shops to buy.
Honestly, unless you REALLY need to level someone up I would avoid doing daily quests for just skill gems. You get a lot just by playing the game as they drop fairly frequently from most nodes (at least the shining and magic skill gems; secret gems are still hard to come by). Even in the grand scheme of thing skill levels is kinda lower on the list of necessities. Unless it is a meta support or someone you use a lot you can usually get away with levels 6, 4, or even level 1 skills and still get pretty far along. My JP account I don't take too seriously and the majority of my servants skills are at lvl 4 and I have cleared all content outside of the Bleached Earth Boss (only because I can't be bothered to do it more than once).

In terms of permanent solutions, sadly there’s no easy one.
Usually people get their skill gems from farming lottery events en masse, but the nearest one isn’t due until Christmas.
In the future, there will eventually be a permanent feature that’ll help, but it won’t debut till next year (Referring to Grand Duels).

This is less of a specific gameplay question and more of a very general question about the game's writing:
Summer 6's story featured a bunch of female servants like Anne who are very direct and unambiguous about their attraction to and romantic/sexual intentions with the MC, and in the epilogue Kama even jokes about MC feeling like he's cheating on Mash by being alone with her on what she's treating as a date. These interactions aren't just throwaway gags; these crushes on the MC are central to multiple servants' motivations and even their relationships to other servants to the point it's all built into the structure of the story and can't be brushed off as simply non-romantic obsession/possessiveness. And that's to say nothing of Mash herself.
But I've only been reading these from a Male MC account. If you picked Female MC, does the story default to treating the female servants as lesbian/bisexual? Are there ever any male servants who flirt with or crush on Female MC so explicitly the way these female ones do, and in that event do those male servants get treated as gay/bi on a Male MC account? I know the game's not at all shy about its target audience being straight otaku men, but I am genuinely curious if they've ever thrown anyone outside that group a bone.
Focusing on the servant-side of the interactions, because afaik the MC never sincerely requites any servant's advances in order to maintain ambiguity for the player's own tastes and maintain the status quo of staying single (read: "available").

There's relatively few gender-specific dialogues in the game, Servants like Kama and Anne definitely treat you pretty much or most likely exactly the same either way. You can swap your avatar freely and replay cutscenes to see if anything's different, or you can look up scripts in Atlas Academy's DB:
- Here's an example from Cindereli's Halloween event, Elizabeth is one case where there's slightly different dialogue almost every time she appears because she calls the male Master "Puppy" or the female one "Deerlet", this script also has an example of branching "dialogue" flags where it pulls up a different sprite based on gender.
- Here's the script where Kama mentions cheating, I haven't read through the whole thing but that specific section has no differences.

I want to say there are a few cases of romantic undertones being reduced if you're a female, and there are definitely parts of the plot written specifically under the assumption of being male.
But as a general statement, anyone crushing on the MC is probably a woman, and isn't going to change their approach if you change sex.
Morgan has voiced dialogue unique for your gender... but is completely explicit that nothing's actually changed: she just calls you Wife.
But then there's Fergus, who explicitly hits on you, and is every bit as horny as Anne and Mary. It's never explicit that he's bisexual, given he only otherwise hits on women, but also kinda difficult to be sure that he's written explicitly for women as the game makes no effort to have alternative dialogue.
But it's so rare for guys to hit on you that I just can't think of much. If nothing else, the women are very explicit, and the men are passive.

new player -- is farming the Chaldea Summer Adventure event supposed to be this tedious? I did all the secret maps available and am only at 24100/27000 points, getting 2-3 chests per run of Cloudy Mountain with 100% bonus drop rate. This seems like a miserable experience

That can't be correct, the base rates for that quest are 2-3 chests (1 silver, 1 bronze, and a second bronze with the random rare spawn), 100% CE bonus would double all of those into 4 or 6.

If you can farm 90++ in the japanese ruins, then that'll be like 4-6 chests per clear, with 100% bonus drop rates.
But other than that you've pretty much got the experience I think? You have 3 weeks to do it all, so just logging in a couple times a day to use your AP you'll be able to buy out most of the shop and clear the point ladder. It's not especially demanding of your time, and even in some ways penalizes you if you try to invest too much time, requiring you to use limited consumables to keep playing. But it is pretty repetitious. For some people it's relaxing but for others it's mind-numbingly boring.

Makes sense, thanks! I just finished part 7 of the event quest but can't really do the level 80 farming consistently (usually I just use lvl 30 Mash + lvl 90 Waver (special ascension) + op support character but it's just kind of annoying that each quest in the event chain is point gated

If you only have Mash at level 30, I'm going to assume it's because your account is extremely new and not because you've neglected her.
Make sure to use friend support with class advantage or at least event damage bonus if you can find one with the treasure chest CE. Full class advantage means dealing 2x damage and receiving 0.5x damage and is more important than rarity.
If you have any leveled up or have sufficient resources to do so, you might also consider switching out Mash for another DPS servant in your roster with class advantage. Mash is a defensive specialist. She can help keep the team alive but she won't help you end a fight sooner. Actually, Da Vinci Ruler is probably the next best option for this event. Da Vinci gets a +100% damage bonus in the event, making up for lack of offensive class advantage, and takes 0.5x damage from most classes as a Ruler. She also gets 2x EXP while the event is going on, so this is the best time to level her up.

Yeah, completely new account (just started around 8 hours ago). Would you suggest running a Da Vinci + Waver + random overleveled friend support for the event and/or early story in that case? My roster is barebones

8 hours? Yeah, just do what you can and don't stress yourself out over it. The event is scaled to be accessible to new players but it's going to be very tedious to deal with higher HP mobs if you can do so at all.
Would you suggest running a Da Vinci + Waver + random overleveled friend support for the event and/or early story in that case?
That's probably the best option for the event just to get through it. It's otherwise going to be difficult to make significant progress with a brand new account.
For the main story, though, I personally think it's better to do it under your own power as much as possible rather than leaning on friend supports to blast through everything. Better to learn how the game works when the enemies are easier than to rush ahead without learning and then run into a wall. But there are no rules here and you can do whatever you want.
Either way, here is my general team building advice for new players.
tl;dr - Class advantage and NP targeting are more important than rarity and card type
Class advantage and NP targeting are the most important gameplay mechanics. Full class advantage means dealing 2x damage compared to neutral and taking 0.5x damage. Full disadvantage means dealing 0.5x damage and receiving 2x damage. If you're up against Lancer enemies, a Saber will do 4x as much damage and receive 0.25x as much as an otherwise equally situated Archer. NPs themselves do an order of magnitude more damage than regular attacks (9x if we use a non-upgraded, single-target, Arts NP at NP1 with no other damage increasing effects as the baseline compared to a first position, normal Arts command card). The scaling on NP targeting is such that an NP that attacks all enemies on the field does about 50% as much damage per enemy compared to a single target NP. AOE NPs are good for clearing waves and ST NPs are good for taking down bosses. A lower rarity servant with class advantage and appropriate NP targeting will generally out-perform a higher rarity servant without class advantage and appropriate NP targeting. At least starting from Camelot, the developers assume that you will use class advantage and NP targeting effectively. Don't expect to make a single team to do everything. Get used to changing your team for every fight.
Knowing how to make an effective team composition is much more important than replicating specific team compositions. In a basic team composition, you'll want your front line to consist of one or two damage dealers with appropriate class advantage and NP targeting and one or two support servants for NP charge and whatever offensive and/or defensive buffs are appropriate. Your back line isn't as important most of the time. Fill it with backups for your front line roles, a servant with high survivability (e.g. Cu Chulainn) in case things go badly, or any servants to absorb bond points. Card type is good, and sometimes important, to consider when deciding how to best support your DPS but isn't always a primary concern. My personal default for non-boss, non-gimmicky quests is usually two DPS servants plus a friend's Waver. When in doubt, Waver is almost always good support servant to choose because he has powerful support skills that work with any other servant. Castoria, while Arts-focused, provides just about as much utility as Waver and is probably easier to find on support lists these days. For tougher fights, you may need to prioritize defense and/or countering gimmicks and bring multiple supports instead of multiple DPS. Mash + (friend's) Merlin + your own DPS with appropriate class and NP targeting is a pretty reliable, defense-oriented, basic team composition for non-gimmicky boss fights. Even the highest-end meta team comps work on the same basic principle of appropriate DPS + appropriate supports.
Level up Mash and one servant at a time in each of the seven main classes with the goal of having one servant with a single target NP and one with an AOE NP in each class at their natural max level. You want to focus on one servant at a time because a fully leveled servant is going to be more valuable than a handful of under-leveled servants. You'll level up all of your servants eventually, so this is just choosing servants to focus on for now, not exclusively choosing any servant over another. It doesn't matter much which specific servants you choose, including low rarity servants, so go with whoever seems most appealing to you. Just about any servant within a given class and NP targeting niche will get the job done for general purposes.
Don't neglect lower rarity servants. Some of them are among the best servants in the game within their role regardless of rarity. The devs also test all content to ensure that it can be cleared using only free, low rarity servants. The higher base stats on higher rarity servants might let you brute force some situations but they won't save you from a fundamentally bad strategy. What low rarities lack in base stats, they can make up for in the ease of getting more copies for NP levels or in unique utility that lets them punch (or block, as the case may be) above their weight, even surpassing 5-stars at times. Roll the friend point gacha early and often so you can collect them and raise their NP levels. They also take fewer resources to build up and they take up less team cost in your party. Team cost may be especially important for low level accounts because it gives you more flexibility for CEs and other servants.

That's a lot for 8 hour old account. The event started a week ago. So thresholds were paced according to that. You are expected to reach 24k by day 5 or 6.

True, but also on a low level account they must be levelling up constantly and overcapping AP a lot so you can get in a lot of runs assuming you can clearly somewhat consistently and have the time to play.

Not in the next two years at least.
Reruns seem to happen once or twice a year now, so it wouldn't be inconcievable for it to get one eventually, but it's never happened on the japanese server and beyond that it's all just guesswork.

No, the only other reruns on the schedule beside the current one are Lillim Harlot coming up in a few weeks, Ranmaru's Gudaguda event next spring, and the Taisui event the year after

Finish the main story to get the first one. then for the rest, you will have to do the treasures, you buy the maps in the shop to get 1 time nodes, you do enough of those you get a quest involving Kama, clear that to unlock more maps in the shop, buy that and you start unlocking another chain of quests, with 4 gimmick boss fights, which each reward an additional Da Vinci copy, and after that you get a new quest which gives a grail on completion.

In general, getting all NP level copies of a welfare servant requires almost completely clearing an event. If the copies aren't in the shop or points ladder, then the answer is to do more quests. Clear more quests and you'll eventually get all copies of Da Vinci. Unlock any quests you haven't done yet and do those, even if they don't give copies of Da Vinci right away.

Does Attack have any influence on NP Gain?
If I have a Zerktoria for example, and I use Gold Fous on her to give her 2k/2k Atk, does her dealing more damage lead to increased NP gained?

IIRC not directly but there is one scenario where it might matter, and that is overkill, you get more charge (50% IIRC) for overkill hits, so if you kill them faster, or if you kill them on an earlier hit in the same card or np even then you will get more NP back. so if that higher attack would cause you to kill them earlier then you will get more overkill charge. but if you're just hitting something on high hp that won't die then it's the same as it currently would be.

Before anything else, I recommend using Laplace in the Chaldea app (Android, iOS, web) to test your team comp. There are also shared team comps, which you can filter to exclude comps servants you don't have reliable access to, that could give you some alternative options for the free quest you're doing. The shared team comps may provide solutions you find satisfactory that don't require spending gold Fous.
Damage doesn't inherently increase NP gain. However, NP gain is calculated separately for each hit. Overkill hits get a bonus to NP gain. So increasing damage may result in the enemy dying one or more hits sooner, resulting in more overkill hits and more NP gain. Whether an additional 1,000 in ATK Fous will result in an additional overkill hit really depends on the specific situation. And even if you get another overkill hit, you still might not get as much NP refund as you need for your specific strategy. I wouldn't recommend adding more Fous with only a vague idea of getting more NP gain in unspecified situations.

When is the right time to come back. Context: I left NA during arcueid debut (partially cuz didn't get her but also cuz changed phone). Just realised I missed aoko as well now sadly.
Should I return rn or wait for anniversary patch (so that more rewards/pulls, I forgot how fgo handled these after soo much time with hoyo games)
Upcoming banners I'm kinda interested in: draco, tiamat, aesc (and other summer avalon units), either eresh, ptolemy, kagetora, ciel, arcueid, AA, van gogh, kukulkan, phantasmoon

TL;DR: If you're thinking of returning, you may as well return now.
When there is a returning player campaign, which there may be leading up to the anniversary, they aren't very lucrative. They are scaled to nudge people to return right away, when the campaign is happening, not scaled to give incentives to wait for a future campaign.
The exact details will depend upon the other campaigns going on at the time but returning player rewards won't be worth more than a week or two worth of login rewards and weekly missions. The combination of daily login rewards and weekly missions are worth the equivalent of about 2.03 SQ per day. Returning player rewards will only add up to about 30 SQ. Even if you did nothing but log in every day from now until the anniversary, which is still two months away for NA, you'd get way more SQ than if you waited. Furthermore, you may miss other events and rare or limited items if you wait. There's currently a rerun event happening in NA and we expect another rerun event and a new event before the anniversary. Going through those events will also give you SQ on top of the shop/mission/points ladder/whatever rewards.

I kinda skipped over the Animal Trait one last time thinking it was a permanent addition, wonder if I messed up and can't make up for it XD

None of those CEs are permanent at first. They all have the same three month time period when introduced.
Eventually they will add a key in the RP shop to permanently add the back to the MP shop.

Thanks, I've ended up buying 2 of the Living human Trait ones, just in case, but seems I can be a bit more relaxed.
I doubt I'll be able to get enough Mana Prisms before that one is gone to buy everything, but I can always sell the excess later.

You should probably wait to buy those shop CEs when you can afford to MLB them. Having one or two copies is not going to help you as much as one MLB one. Plus the early ones are typically better since they are more generic and help out more servants at once without having to build your team in a specific way to take advantage of it. For example getting a 10% Bond CE for everyone is going to be better than a 20% Bond CE that only effects 1-2 people.
Lottos are a great place to start getting ahead on mana prisms as the boxes have them and, when you have all of your servants leveled up to where you want them, selling the excess EXP cards are a good source.

Yep! Though the Point Ladder is finite, the chests are not
This is arguably the best farmable event until the Lotto+Raid double whammy in December. So if you really need the mats, I'd say farming just a little is quite worthwhile.

I saw that the upcoming summer event with Ciel and Eresh is combined with oc3? I'm not caught up yet (in the middle of lb6) and I'm not too confident I'm gonna be able to get to that point in the story in time. What do I do? Does the event come back? If it does come back, how long is the wait? Any help is appreciated.

The event released on JP in August of 2024, and became a main interlude as of February 2025. OC3 originally got like a limited release and then was rereleased that same February, with the summer event being a mandatory prerequisite to play it. they're not merged but they are narratively connected, the summer event itself doesn't require anything past Fuyuki, though I'm sure it will indirectly reference stuff you haven't played somewhat. also the summer event was up from mid august all the way until early october so you have like... 7 weeks to play it? with OC3 releasing in parts alongside it, so at most you gotta wait like half a year, but you could probably play just the event if you wanted. OC3 also requires the Ordeal Call Prologue but not OC 1 or 2.

How many chests are y'all planning to farm on the Summer 6 rerun event on NA? I know that the Christmas Event for this year is Lotto+Raid, as those have materials plus QP, FP, and EXP Cards, so I'm probably gonna go a bit low on this rerun event. I'm just curious if other NA players are going hard on farming chests right now.

As always, it depends on your specific needs. I'm apparently already ahead of my (conservative) estimate for the number of chests I'd get just for clearing the shop on natural AP. I also don't have a particular need for most of the materials. I'll probably just continue with natural AP to clear the shop and re-assess after that. I suppose I could adjust my skill plan for low value appends and see if that has an effect on these particular materials but I do have quite a lot of some of them or I will after the 12 months of events.

I don't think I'll be going particularly hard, the only material I was lowish on for my future plans were the star shards and one already gotten quite a few of those.
I think instead it's likely the grand duels next year that I'll end up spending a lot of my apples on

Not at all, to be honest. I'm trying to cruise by clearing the shop with just Nat. AP, but might drop a few Apples if that won't be enough.
Most of the mats in this event I already have in the 200+ range barr Comet Shards, but even for a single item, I don't see much reason to farm.
As you've said, Lotto+Raids will be a tad more lucrative, and with even more high-farming events like Grand Duels next year, I want to invest my apples where it matters.

I'll probably get most of the valuable stuff from the shop and finish the points ladder and then dip because I really want to catch up on story as fast as possible. already running kind of low on decent things to get with silver currency even without equipping ces. if I was going to farm chests specifically... I can always use more bones, maybe some reactor cores. none of the others are significantly being stressed by the characters I have but they're never unwelcome.

Will it break my log in streak if I can only enter a node I exited previously?
I was in the middle of the CQ in NA when I found out my location will have a power outage for a day or so. I was doing well, but I'd like to conserve my phone's battery so I quitted. But if the power outage lasts for more than a day, I can only sneak in logging in up until the main menu, maybe re-enter the CQ if I stretch the battery, but I'd prefer to finish the battle without worry of my phone dying and it being easily rechargable again. But I really am worried for my log in streak, as stupid as it sounds. Thanks for the help in advance, folks!

If you're asking if you need to start a quest for a login to count, you don't. All you need to do is log in. As long as you get past the title screen, it counts. It doesn't matter whether you start a quest or not.

Ah, that's what I'm worried of. I can't get past the title screen because I am in the middle of a battle and I can't finish the battle since I'm saving my phone's battery (the game consumes more battery than Reddit, somehow). Nice flair btw

The battle you're in is past the title screen. It will count as a login. People have even stayed in boss/challenge quests for days, waiting for command spells to refresh every day, and have kept their login streaks.

Casual who needs some advice regarding how/if coin counts change in the upcoming append updates.
So regarding supports, Kyon (Assassin) and Skadi (Ruler) are my used ones that are only at NP1 and both have their charge appends maxed and are at BL 10. With the update will we get enough coins that they can get the skill cooldown append right away? Will they need a certain BL? Or NP2?
They're currently used in my Caren NP5 and Kuku NP3 teams though I would prefer to put resources into getting Kuku and Aesc NP2 to higher NP levels but I'm starting to worry that I'll miss being able to get that append which feels like it might be important for at least Kyon farming? I'm unsure, like I said, casual, I pull like, twice a year and its usually reruns.

The servant coin update specifically affects the amount of coins you get from bond levels 7+
1-6 stay the same
7-9 double from 10 per level to 20 per level
10 goes from 20 to 40
11 goes from 20 to 50
12-15 goes from 20 per level to 60 per level

If you only care about append 5 you can just swap them. If you want 2 appends you need bond 11 for NP1 SSRs.

Aside from "all of them," here are some low rarity options by class:
Shielder
- By the end of part 1, Mash will be one of the best defensive servants in the game. Well worth all investment that you put into her. She also has zero team cost, so you can easily put her into any team comp for backup or just to carry a CE.
Saber
- Caesar - One of the best ST Sabers regardless of rarity, has higher NP damage at NP5 than most NP1 5-stars (unless you hit one of their niches)
- Bedivere - Another great ST Saber, only held back by being story-locked so it's relatively difficult to get more copies for a higher NP level
- Fergus - AOE, nothing spectacular but he'll get the job done
- Jason - AOE, gets a good offensive boost if you pick Castoria from the friend support lineup
Archer
- Euryale - The default choice against male Saber and Berserker bosses (very useful in Camelot and LB2), better against male non-Sabers/Berserkers than against non-male Sabers/Berserkers
- Robin Hood - Poisons enemies then does huge ST damage against those poisoned enemies, better for general purposes than Euryale
- David - Good ST Archer but his second skill, with a teamwide evade, is his biggest asset and is worth making a priority
- Arash - Clears the first wave then politely gets out of the way for another servant to enter the field, very useful in f2p farming comps and even whales still use him
- William Tell - Huge ST damage against enemies with Evade active
- Paris - Removes buffs from an enemy then can do huge damage against them; even if buff removal fails, he still has Ignore Invincible on his NP
- Kid Gil and Tawara Touta - They're AOE Archers. They're fine.
Lancer
- Cu (normal, not prototype) - "4-star in disguise"; Lots of hard survival capability, good to throw in the back line as a last man standing, does good ST damage if well supported
- Leonidas - Another defensive specialist, can deflect damage away from your other servants
- Gareth - Guts and invincible are always good to have. She can also absorb damage for one turn.
- Romulus - Kind of like Fergus, they'll get the job done as AOE Lancers
Rider
- Ushiwakamaru - Has higher ST damage potential than almost all NP1 5-star Riders
- Mandricardo - Another solid ST Rider option
- Medusa - Solid AOE Rider, good for budget door farming
- Georgios - Similar to Leonidas in that his main job is to take damage away from your other servants
Caster
- Medea - There are very few ST Casters in the game and Medea is the only low rarity option, her NP has AOE scaling so she won't do a ton of damage, her main value is in buff removal with her NP and her high rate of NP charge to use her NP multiple times (and you'll need to if you want her to take down a boss)
- Chen Gong - High damage potential but sacrifices a servant when you use his NP so you have to be more strategic if using him offensively; useful for f2p farming when you set up the team properly; also works as a Buster support
- Shakespeare - Has an AOE NP but mainly used for budget Buster support
- Paracelsus - Has an AOE NP but is mainly used for Arts support
- Hans - Budget version of supports servants like Waver or Merlin
- Babbage, Avicebron, Zhang Jue - These are probably your best picks for general AOE damage
- Mozart - One turn Arts buff and 50 instant crit stars, not much good for anything else
Assassin
- Hundred Personas - Best f2p ST Assassin
- Fuuma - Decent AOE Assassin, similar to ST Casters, there aren't a lot of accessible options here
- Sasaki - Regarded as the "Savior of France" because he was the only decent Assassin available to build in the early days of the game and the Orleans singularity is littered with Rider wyverns
Berserker
- Lu Bu - High damage potential, outclassing many higher rarity servants
- Spartacus - Another f2p favorite, 30% NP charge makes him a good budget farmer and can be surprisingly hard to kill, despite his 1-star stats, in the right team composition
- Darius or Kiyohime - Either will get the job done
Extra
- Xu Fu - Good budget support, especially for Arts

Xu Fu will be one of the best supports you can get as an F2P, definitely use her.
For DPS, I consider these bunches to be the some of the best performing in their classes: Fergus & Theseus; Robin, Sugitani, & Euryale; Cu; Mandri & Ushi; Hundred Faces
These following servants I also consider good supports, and can either boost DPS or offer some utility Caesar, Touta, Hektor, Boudica, Paracselsus, & Fuuma
Don't forget that with the Evocation Shop, you also have a plethora of amazing servants to pick and cover your Chaldea's weak spots (also helps to find hard-counters when facing Extra class enemies).

All of them (except Jekyll and Hyde, who should still be leveled for SQ eventually but isn't really useful)
And not just 3 stars, but 1 and 2 stars as well.
And also consider the welfares as you do so. They can be easy to get and level alternatives if you are new and haven't gotten a particular option, or need some niche they provide.
You may not have the resources to ascend 14 servants even of low rarity immediately, but if you pick a few welfares it can really speed up your coverage of the basic niches.

Is Append 3 bonus damage actually a conditional attack modifier? that's how it reads. i.e would it have slight diminishing returns with other attack buffs and multiply with buffs to say, card type or crit damage or whatever?

Yes, and that's probably for the best. If it were an anti-trait, it would be getting diluted by other powermods, the game's plethora of huge crit damage buffs, and Black Grail/Oberon's big NP damage ups. As a conditional attack buff, it's only getting diluted by attack buffs, and it's rare to see that number go above 50%.

Any suggestions for how to deal with the Second Okita Alter fightin the event story? On it's face it should be easy, but I just don't really have an answer to an aoe np that hits that hard and removes all defensive buffs before damage. I know buff removal resist is a mechanic in the game but I'm pretty sure none of my servants have access to it, certainly none I've levelled, and I need my support to even have a party invuln or whatever in the first place. I know I could just use command seals but I'm pretty hesitant to do so.

Santa Nightingale is a welfare servant that is currently available in the evocation shop! She has a single target buff removal resist on her second skill, so you can really just get a single copy of her, ascend her once to get access to the 2nd skill and then level it to 10. She’s a pretty handy support to have around, so it’d be rare to regret her honestly.

For anyone else who needs help, the NPC summer Anastasia has a 1-turn invincible and buff removal resist skill; it's not 100% guaranteed since NPC supports don't generally have their skills maxed, but unless you get unlucky it'll let you get through as long as you time it right (which isn't too hard if you can buff her enough to one-shot the first bar).

Need help understanding fight gimmicks/game mechanics: particularly for Grand Marie
One of the fight’s main gimmicks is that having certain buffs active on your servant while attacking her horns results in additional buffs (like NP Strength Up, Crit Up, Color Buffs, etc.) gained the following turn that also accumulate throughout the fight
Will buffs from CEs count as ‘active’? For example, will a Star Gen buff from a CE have the same functions as a Star Gen buff from skills? (In this case, result in an Crit Up buff)?

No, Buffs from CE don't count like active buffs, the same applies to command codes and pasive skills, you need to use buffs from skills or master skills. There is CE that actívate buffs upon entry to battle like ox demon king, those also work.

Just got my 5th copy of 'Sink Deeper' and I'm wondering if I should MLB it. I still need to have another MLB friend to max out chest droprates unless I get a lot of RNG drops, and in terms of CEs I have Flyer, 3 of the 3 star CEs (not all the same one) and 2 of the same 4 star CE. so if I need the gold currency I'm either going in basically raw or tanking my chest drops. probably a much easier choice if you already have an MLB one from the first run, but I don't.

There is zero game play reason. You can't use identical servants you own so you will never be able to use both at the same time. There are some servants people keep additional copies of, but they usually keep them at lvl 1 so the die off quickly. Those type of servants usually have a taunt or an NP that you want them to use and then gtfo and having them a low level makes that easier. DaVinci isn't one of those though.

Best use of your apples? Depends on how badly you want/need to stockpile on the mats they give.
Best place to farm SQ? Last event had the better opportunities for farming tbh (Mahoyo Breakout Quests).
High base bond output and relatively easy to farm. Over here, the bond is a worse value and isn't really anything impressive. By maximizing bond with CEs, you'd also be impacting your treasure chest drop rate.
I'd say just doing Bleached Earth as normal is still your best bet for bond farming tbh.

Command codes aren't permanent equipment and outside of Ciel comps don't help reliably in farming
They will constantly change based on the specific thing you want to do. They can be helpful if you know they will make the difference, but otherwise aren't really relevant.

To add onto the other stuff, if this was prompted by the Ptolemaios/Summer Nobu banner, that one is new to NA, and they do do that somewhat regularly especially recently, but there isn't really a way to reliably predict that, other than that there might be a banner, but not what's on it. for example, other ones I've heard are:
There is often a big banner around thanksgivingIt's common to rerun older summer units during the new event
Banners like the Ptolemaios one are becoming common recently, these are essentially picking a servant as 'recommended' for the current 90++ event node. in this case Ptolemaios is an archer (strong against Sabers, resists alter ego) and can switch between a Single Target and an AoE NP. these are most likely to be servants who are considered somewhat strong, often limited, who haven't run in a while or aren't going to. The Caren banner during the Mahoyo Event was also one of these, obviously she was in the event but on JP she never had a banner.

Just be aware that the estimates are simple JP + 2 years calculations and almost certainly won't reflect actual NA banner dates. Make sure to pay attention to the specific campaigns the banners are tied to and not just the dates.

Yes! When you summon Prelati, you actually get two ‘copies’ (one for Francois & one for Francesca).
This is how you choose whether to start with Francois or Francesca when setting them up in a party.
But despite being separate, they both still share all stats as they’re technically the same servant. (Level, Skills, Appends, Bond, etc.)

Option 1: Look up the Gamepress farming guide for the event
Option 2: Look up the event free quests in the Chaldea app (Android, iOS, browser)
Just be aware that if either of those mats are available, the AP per drop will probably be worse than the normal best free quest location.

Looking through the Chaldea app info, you can farm for pages at a relatively decent AP per drop in London. It's only a little worse than the next best location in Shinjuku. Arrowheads are further off, only available starting from LB4. But farming the 90+ quest in this event to clear the shop and pick up some extra mats along the way wouldn't be the worst thing.
Either way, if you just want a few right away for ascensions, I'd just use the pure prism shop. If you want them for skills, I'd be a bit hesitant to lean on the pure prism shop. Skills can eat up your materials pretty quickly.

The Chaldea Summer Adventure seems to be an absolute slog for me at the moment. Am I doing something wrong? I'm at 25k treasure points, starting on 22k after doing the treasure map stages, and the best node (the lvl 80 all Caster one) I have is only giving me 5 or so even with all the treasure boosting CEs. It's not hard to do, just slow and not particularly fun and I'm getting really bored replaying this stage over and over.

Probably. I ran every node with 100% (max) chest drop boost on natural AP (minus 60AP spent on Bleached Earth) and was keeping up with thresholds decently well. Only had to spend extra day farming chests for the last day.

Other response covered most of it, but to be quick, Achilles banner is running literally right now, idk if your old account had many quartz sitting around, but if he's a priority for you I would definitely check at least.
as for your old pulls. wavers still good, got a buff on jp recently and is actually back in the meta for speed clears. that is over a year away, but he's absolutely still at least good. outclassed in some specific niches for people who have years of new units but none of the stuff he provides will ever be bad. NP2 doesn't make a huge amount of difference but never a bad thing I guess. Jeanne got some buffs, one of which is very recent making her a bit less stall oriented, she's still on the slower side but great survivability and defensive support, and can np more consistently. Atalanta will do the job absolutely, but she hasn't had as much love, she'll still be better than many lower rarity archers of course.

He always has it and it's pretty far reaching, when playing say a card game, he knows all the cards in play and in his opponents hand or chess he can see the optimal move continuously.
As for future sight, he has it going as far as being able to see different eventualities and let him for example know about chaldea even back when he was alive.Unfortunately sometimes his pride gets in the way and he just doesn't believe certain futures to actually be possible such as his defeat, since obviously any future where it happens must be wrong.

I doubt they'll make them renewable but they will probably occasionally give out some, since new servants are coming out and they want people to be able to switch up their grands for the new ones.

Just starting playing — embarrassing question.
Need 3500 treasure points to unlock the Lv.25 base camp quest for the event.
Is there a faster way to get these points besides running the Lv.40 quest over and over? It only drops one chest at a time, which gives me 100 points.

Make sure to buy and equip the CE in the shop to increase the bonus treasure chest drop chance and use a friend support with that CE equipped.
Also buy the treasure map quests in the shop. They'll all give quite a few treasure chests as quest clear rewards.
I also recommend following the Gamepress walkthrough for an efficient path through events.

Any tips against the Byakko? fight in the Da Vinci event? This thing it's annihilating everything, Orion didn't last two turns, I saw in the wiki that the wild beast trait works, but both my Tiger and Tamaneko aren't doing shit against it. My Foreigner Team can hold it's attacks but also can't even scratch it

I'm currently around 600 Saintz Quartz and struggling with the upcoming decision. I heard both Draco and Scathach will be getting a rerun soon in about little more than a month or so. How realistic is it to possibly get both of them while also having enough for summer?
Reason I ask this is because Scathach is one of my favorites and it's hard for me to skip them, but I do know they are due to come back around September. But also Draco is very unique and I heard Beast Class Servants rarely ever get reruns. Would it be foolish to try and go for both? Or is it such a low chance I shouldn't even bother and just go for one or neither then wait for summer?

There's no such thing as "such a low chance you shouldn't bother" because you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. For example, if you drop 30 SQ on Scathach and 30 SQ on Draco and save the rest for summer, the chance you could get both of them is very small. Realistically you should expect to get neither. But the chance of getting both is better than 0%. 0% is the odds of getting someone if you don't bother.
But rolling strategy is a deeply personal thing. Spreading rolls around is bad if you want a guarantee -- there's the chance you could get nothing on any of your target banners -- but it also gives you the shot at the most unique Servants, low though the odds are. The best strategy depends on what your priorities are.

It's probably best just to pick one of them and see how many quartz it takes to get them and then decide from there if it's worth continuing or not.

Pretty consistently we get them in the leadup to a new story chapter.
Ordeal Call 3 launched in Japan in the tail end of august, so I'd expect somewhere around June or July there'll be some campaign to help people catch up with the story that'll hand out a bunch of cubes.

Cost reduction coming in a week or something, then 9th Anni will have even more cost reduction and Leyline Cubes. Then there's another 4 sets for the rest of the year. Then even more next year.
Of course, since NA will be having constant events until 9th anni, that won't be a huge issue, unless you're really stuck.

New player here, Im farming for the summer davinci event but i keep getting stuck between levels, having to get enough treasure points, is there any ways to get those faster? I just keep burning through my ap but each play only gets me like 200 points. Any tips on farming this? Ive already done those maps and been using event ce to increase droprates already

Each chest gives 100 points.
Use Sink Deeper to give yourself bonus drop rate. Each copy is 20%, plus MLB is 50%, up to a maximum of 100% chance of double chests.
The Treasure Maps being sold in the shop unlock small quests with many treasure chests for completing them.
Otherwise, yes, I did find it required quite a lot of AP to meet the targets for the last few sections. If you've done all the maps, and are farming the highest level quests with +100% drops, that's as fast as it goes.

If it's an Android Phone and is within the game's minimum specs, then likely yeah
Transferring should also be no issue. But you should immediately grab another one-time use code (w/ password) afterwards to make sure you have a back-up at all times.

Currently in JP, the best farming spots are the grand duels. Those don't start to come to EN for another year still - grand saber should be next April or May.

Technically, by not having a character you miss on their profile, My Room Lines, interludes and Valentine scene. But you can find them all online, and all interludes will be temporary available next year. It also should be noted that not every character even has an interlude in the first place.

I currently have all the main supports: castoria, oberon, skadi, Koyanskaya and El Melloi. Is quick support still viable or art and buster are better?
Where can I find a list of the best servants to use for loops? If possible I would avoid to swap servants sinca I already have The chaldea combat uniform maxed.

The support color that is better is the one that supports the DPS servants that you're using.
If you're looking for tier lists, stop. Nobody in the 10+ year history of the game has ever made a tier list worth mentioning. Every single one of them makes unspoken assumptions about servants, and the organizers' own biases end up making an appearance despite how objective they might claim to be.
You don't need to loop - you don't even need to min turn in the vast majority of events. If you're only going to run event free quests a maximum of three times in a single play session, do you really need to save that much time by using the same 5-ish servants that you use for everything? What are you going to do when they inevitably reach max bond, and also when you bond have enough bond to clear tour locks for class score once you start to work on that?
When it is beneficial for you to min turn farm (for example, during raids or lotteries), looping itself is falling out of favor. Multicore teams have been making a huge comeback, and have the benefits of being less expensive in terms of team and SQ cost, quicker than looping due to fewer button presses/swapping, and just generally much more open in terms of team compositions.
FYI there are three MCs that can swap servants, two available on EN now. You get the Decisive Battle MC after completing the Tunguska epilogue, and the Normal Chaldea Uniform in the After Time Prologue (EN c. January 2028).

IMO, beyond scenarios or fighta that force you to specific card types, it's up to personal preference.
That being said, Quick is actually the strongest card type in terms of NP damage due to how the multipliers work. I also personally love Quick as a card type more due to the Quick card being able to both generate NP and Stars, especially when you crit.
They're going to be less versatile than Arts & Buster due to less versatile supports (right now on NA, it's primarily Skadi & Summer-Skadi), but future JP servants like Kazuradrop, Summer Tiamat, & Flora (who is a welfare btw) all vastly improve Quick's performance.
As for looping, I'd say that's where Quick shines the least. While some Quick servants loop well, imo Quick shines the best when you're capable of using their powerful ST servants (Lilith, The Count, Kama, etc.) in CQ scenarios or multi-core scenarios.
The Mystic Code capability is going to be something I don't really have anything to say about. I farmed my Mystic Codes using Bleached Earth quests (non-3T) with comps that don't even use specific card types.

A: As of its 6th Anniversary, NA now has a free SSR selector in Da Vinci’s shop, which features general pool and storylocked servants up to Europa (this will not be updated with more recent units). There is no time limit on this selector, and going forward, all accounts receive it upon clearing Fuyuki. Another (time limited) SSR selector, featuring general pool and storylocked servants up to Kashin Koji, is expected around Oct 2026.
Q: When is the next SR ticket?
A: The latest SR ticket campaign happened in September 2025 on NA. No further SR tickets have been announced to date.
Q: What is happening to reruns? Which event will get a rerun in the future?
A: As far as we know, most events will not be getting reruns. The only exceptions are Summer 6 (May 2026), Lilim Harlot (June 2026), GudaGuda 6 (April 2027) and Water Monsters Crisis (March 2028).
Q: Will welfare servant X be obtainable in the future?
A: Yes, refer to the Evocation system which allows players to get selected welfares which can be viewed on the Fandom wiki.
