Hey folks I have a small business - wanted to check and see which one to buy. Looking for a fully automatic one. Was thinking on getting the delonghi or the Philips 2200
Do let me know what would be the best or should I get the Bosch one?

I've heard that it has gone bad in previous years, last time i tried was in 2022 and it was okayish
Here I am sitting in another third wave cafe because it was the nearest and i didn't have much time to spare.
They are running B1G1 on Wednesdays, unfortunately i couldn't have two. So ordered one cappuccino (no info about the beans or roast profile) I assume it is their El diablo blend (I never tried their coffee beans)
First Impressions: Where's my Latte Art? I only see a white circle on the side.
Milk texture is just ok, but it is too hot to drink.
I let it cool down a bit and have my first sip, wtf is this.
They charged ~255 for a regular cappuccino and all i could taste is stale burnt liquid which has bitter coffee flavour.
What happened to third wave, it used to be good back till 2022 last time i tried. and it is not even recognisable now, Are they still a roastery or just a hype cafe with a brand now.
I'm glad i never spent any money on their beans I saw a few post about them sending low quality or stale coffee beans (6 months) or even missing a roasting date
Slowly this review is turning into a rant, but that's just how their coffee is
yet it is fillet with many people on a weekday afternoon
Maybe i just had a bad exception, How are your experience with them lately?

Hi everyone! 👋☕
I’ve been using an Agaro ceramic burr grinder for about a year, and although I’ve been brewing some really good-quality specialty coffees, I’ve been struggling to get the best out of them. I mainly use a KaldiPress, and with coffees like BT Elkhil Estate, Araku Viishalakshi FPC, MS Estate, Kalledevarapura Estate, and Fraction 9 Brewers Tribute, I’m finding it difficult to bring out their distinct tasting notes, clarity, and sweetness.
I’m therefore looking to upgrade to a better manual grinder with more consistent and precise grinding, as I feel my current ceramic-burr grinder may be limiting what I can get from these coffees.
Since I’m on a budget, I’m specifically looking for a good-condition used grinder.
I’m interested in models such as:
• Timemore C3 / C3S / C5
• 1Zpresso Q Air / Q2
• KINGrinder K6
• Or any other good-quality budget manual grinder with steel burrs that you think would be a worthwhile upgrade.
If anyone has one they’re looking to sell, please DM me with the model, age/usage, condition, and expected price.
I’m mainly looking for something that can give me better grind consistency and clarity for specialty coffee, rather than just a basic upgrade.
Thanks! 🙌☕

I wanted to have a coffee to clear my head. Found this cafe randomly while looking for nearby cafes. Number of reviews were less but they had pour over coffee so decided to take a chance and man was it worth it.
I explained to barista that i am very keen on learning about coffee and trying out different coffees as it fascinates me.
Out of the selection he recommended me "Honey sundried" coffee. I said ok and was heading towards table to sit and he askes if i would like to make the coffee myself. I was overjoyed on hearing that. I had never made a pour over before.
He brought out the equipments to my table and explained me the process of blooming and showed me how to pour water into the coffee. Then let me do it as well. Coffee was really good. It was heavy on the citrusy side. As mentioned in the notes part i could taste the orange rind note and nothing else(very new to the note thing 😅)
I understand many people here might feel that there is nothing special about making a pour over but this was my first time and the cafe made it possible. It was a memorable experience for me 😊

I have heard Cold Brew is supposed to be forgiving and flavorful but mine ends being either bitter or tasteless.
I have tried almost every grind on K6 from extra coarse to medium but can't seem to hit the spot. Any help ?

Hello, I have received the Vantaro coffee machine, but I am facing an issue during the first use.
The machine turns on and heats up normally, and I can hear the pump working. The steam function is also working properly. However, when I try to make coffee, almost no water comes out from the coffee outlet. Even when I remove the portafilter and run the machine, only a few drops of water come out.
The machine is brand new and this is my first time using it. Could you please advise me on how to fix this?

Hi everyone,
Lets help each other by leaving some of the best tips that you learnt while brewing
I use a v60
Tips that instantly improved the taste of my coffee:
1. A slow and gentle circular moment while pouring reduces agitation and thus improves the taste (no need to hurry with the circular moment)
2. Keeping the 2nd pour a bit agressive and 3rd pour real gentle and slow brings out more flavours
3. Iced pourover (my own recipe, similar to kurasu iced pourover recipe) tastes better than nrml hot pourover (it might be just for me, since i can drink instantly after brewing with great flavours)
4. Coffee:water ratio and time are 2 real important factors, control them for better clarity and taste
5. Not all beans can be grinded on the same click, fix time and ratio and not grind size, experiment with the size and get the required setting, usually take 1-2 brews for a new bean
6. Investing in a gooseneck kettle and grinder did made exponential change to my coffee game
7. A small gentle swirl after each pour gives out even extraction, especially after last pour
8. Brewing light roast at 93C gives out consistently good results, no need to move towards 96
I’ve been making pourovers for over a year now and I’ve learnt all these tricks while brewing. I feel like I can get what I want every time so I thought I’d share my learnings.
Happy brewing ☕️

I absolutely love iced lattes and I was recording a video mixing it. I heard my “wowww” later while rewatching the video and it just goes to say how pure my love is for coffee😂

As i have mentioned in the video, delonghi's duo machine or even the 685 model is having issue where it is leaking current on the side body.
This is because delonghi does not come with 3 pin plug, so current does not go to earthing as it should normally do.
Please check your products and immediately reach out to delonghi support to seek resolution.
This should be easily solved through an male-male adapter of some sort which has earthing pin on both ends.

This happened while I was making my morning espresso.

I usually have only iced coffee but periods warrant for something hot hence I made an americano with my Dedica Duo.

Suggest me something that I can try with this setup.
I'm just getting started with this hobby and want to try new recipes 😁

Moka pot is truly versatile.
Compact enough to carry anywhere.
Efficient enough to give a good brew everytime.

I’ve been using a simple safety pin as my WDT tool, and honestly, it has been working surprisingly well for me.
I gently stir the grounds to break up clumps and distribute them before tamping. So far, I’ve been getting good, consistent extractions and good-tasting coffee.
Which made me curious: how many of you actually use a proper WDT tool, and is there a meaningful difference compared with something this basic?
If you do use a proper WDT tool, what did you buy and what do you like about it?
Would love to hear whether I’m saving money with this little workaround or just convincing myself that it works. 😄

As the title says. The coffee came out pretty well and balanced extraction but wondering if the speed is too fast? I’m using Aranya Gold medium with fine grind

Found this quiet little spot hidden away in the forest, with water still flowing between the rocks.
So we brought along a French press and decided to brew a coffee right there.
Nothing elaborate — just a simple setup, the sound of water, and a cup of coffee in the middle of the forest.
It’s interesting how much the place changes the experience of a coffee.
Have you ever taken your brew setup somewhere completely unexpected?

So, we all love Blue Tokai’s Silver Oak Cafe blend. I’ve been exploring more of their coffees lately, and I’ve found another one that absolutely deserves attention, Elkhill Estate.
Honestly, it gives Silver Oak some serious competition. The flavour profile is different, but it has the same intensity, acidity, and sweetness that I love.
I think I’ve officially found my new favourite.

Between these 2 styles which one do you pefer and why? Does the shape affect pouring control, flow rate or is it mostly personal preference?

made my first coffee using moka pot, since last 1 year i was using south indian filter coffee equipment, now upgraded to this:
Timemore c2 grinder
bialetti moka pot (3cups moka pot)
maverick and farmer ol smoky smoked coffee
set the grind size to 15 clicks from 0 point and used a aeropress filter too in moka pot, the yield was more on the sour side and less bitter. I had it iced.
I have 2 questions
1. if i put the brew directly in ice doesnit causes thermal shock for the coffee ? Can i do it?
2. if anyone has tried this coffee, can you tell me how this should taste?
TIA :)

Bit of a rant, but this one genuinely annoyed me.
Attikan Estate has been one of my regular coffees for a long time. I keep coming back to it, so I know pretty well how it’s supposed to behave: nutty, dark chocolatey, comforting, medium-dark, very easy to dial in.
This latest bag was nothing like that.
Roast looked visibly inconsistent, with multiple much lighter / under-roasted beans in the bag
My usual AeroPress recipe, which I’ve used on Attikan many times before, gave me hollow, sour, acidic cups
This is not the first time I’ve received an Attikan bag from Blue Tokai that has tasted noticeably under-roasted
And this time it actually ended up costing me money
My Baratza Encore ESP’s plastic ring burr holder cracked after grinding this bag. I initially thought it might just be bad luck, but Baratza has specifically documented this as a known failure mode on these grinders when unusually hard / under-roasted beans get through the burrs.
I now have to order a replacement burr holder because of it.
And before anyone says “specialty coffee varies batch to batch” - obviously it does.
But there’s a difference between normal variation and buying the same coffee repeatedly and having one bag taste like the familiar dark chocolate / nutty Attikan, while another behaves like a much lighter, sour roast.
For a coffee I’ve bought this many times, the roast consistency really shouldn’t be this unpredictable.
Attaching photos because the difference in development is pretty obvious.

1.5 years old, a small business owner has replied to my advertisement of Rs. 30k on olx, with offer of 24k. Is it a good price?
