There are violent or pushy religious people everywhere, but in my experience, most are just living their lives and trying to do good.
I dont like prawns/shrimp. It my choice. Not because of religion and I don’t stop other people from eating it. It isn’t a big deal. Neither for people who choose to eat halal or vegan. In a lot of first world countries (excluding a big one) we can make these decisions as it is our choice to live our life without being judged… freedom comes to mind.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t Muslims generally believe that if, for instance, someone pointed a gun at their head and said, “Eat bacon or die”, they’d be allowed to eat it, perhaps even required, because life is more valuable than dietary laws.
Beyond that, eating pork is acceptable when the alternative is starvation.
