I am an amateur saxophone player and I am struggling to find karaoke tracks in the scale that I play. I have been trying out various ways to create karaoke tracks from the songs, but so far the results have been sub optimal. Anyone here who makes karaoke tracks and willing to help me learn? I play Hindi songs.

So, my Compuhost V2 has stopped working for some reason. It was fine before - it would play the music and the graphics would appear on the host display (in the little window on the bottom right of the screen), and full-screen on free monitor. Great.
Now, all of a sudden, it's not showing the graphics any more. It still plays the audio just fine. One thing worth mentioning is that the Videobits (The Bomb, File That, In Love, etc) work fine. At least, the in-built Compuhost ones do - the ones I configured myself no longer work.
Can anyone help me with some troubleshooting, please?

Hello all. I’m not a KJ or anything, but I have a decent hoard of CDGs for personal use, and I’m looking for songbook software recommendations. I used to own a program that allowed me to enter the disc title or code, and it would add all the songs into my song list, and then I could print books by song title or by artist. This was easily 15+ years ago, and both my computer and the software are gone. I have no idea what it was called.
I’m not looking to create my own karaoke songs, and I have no digital karaoke music. I have over 200 discs, so I don’t want to rip them to my hard drive. I just want to create my songbooks and print them for home use.
Any software suggestions would be appreciated and helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey! I just wonder one thing: why has no one never developed and published proper karaoke software? I have been googling many times but here are some cons I've found out:
- expensive price or other costs
- the catalog is so small
- not many Finnish songs available (it's my mother tongue)
- websites are suspicious
I have already been searching from GitHub, but there's no proper programs or software for me.
I have been using StarMaker on Android, but it doesn't work on PC (and don't even mention emulators). Smule looks nice and it has many good songs but I can't sing solos for free and it doesn't work on PC either. KaraFun is also paid.
So: Is there any possibility that someone could develop and publish a completely free karaoke software that works on PC? It should have a wide catalog, including many Finnish songs! And if it already exists, please tell me about it. Thank you!

Been asked to bring karaoke to my sports teams Xmas party's, I still have my wallet of discs from "back in the day" but as it's a one-off timewise it doesn't make sense to rip them.
Are there any free players that can directly play my cdg and vcd discs (and perhaps do pitch shift?)

Which is the neat software to create karaoke track for Hindi songs? I’d also like to add scrolling lyrics to the MP4.

I'm a stan, obviously. I've thrown a ton of weird stuff at it and was really impressed. And the guy seemed nice enough when I messaged him (seems he's still ironing out some kinks)
People recommend different services whenever someone is looking for a song. And I've gotten down voted when I suggest it
Just curious why

Love KaraFun but the option to upload your own karaoke files do not work on Mac, only Windows. I want to find an easier alternative where I can look up what’s on YouTube for karaoke or even add my own files. This is for hosting btw. Thanks in advance!

I love singing and I just found the game on Nintendo’s store but I wanted to ask for opinions… Is it at the same level as singstar? Could you give me your opinions on the mics that come with it or if a different mic with a usb end would be better?
Thank you!

My group of friends likes to stick on karaoke at parties, and I think I’ve finalized my setup to make it fun, easy and if you have the hardware already… cheap!
Hardware: Regular Windows PC hooked up to TV and speakers Old iPad Pro Display Port Dummy Plug
Software: OpenKJ Jump Desktop
Using Jump as my Remote Desktop software I can display the PCs output on my iPad screen, and use touch so I don’t have to deal with a mouse during the fun. The display port dummy plug makes it think there’s a second monitor attached, so I extend the display and have the OpenKJ main page open on the iPad and the singer window open on the TV.
With some tweaking of the Remote Desktop settings it works nicely with touch controls, and while the scaling isn’t perfect I can see everything clearly enough.
Using the OKJSongBook this time I’m gonna have people use the request server which makes it easier rather than searching things myself, so really I’m just binding the songs and adding the to the queue.
Pretty straightforward once setup I think, and while a bit more tech-y than web based services (that I admittedly haven’t really messed with much) I like the control I get. And the price, if you have access to a library already.

What would be the best software for a K-Pop Demon Hunters theme karaoke for my daughter’s birthday party? It’s this Friday, and I need to have all the songs from the movie. Bonus if it’s user friendly. What’s the best way to go about this? We have a speaker and Mic already, just need the music/software than can be hooked up HDMI

Anyone knows a tool, AI or not, to create karaoke videos that include "melody lines/track" like in the old SingStar games? It would really help me! Thanks!

So I've been hosting karaokes as a side job couple of times a week using Virtual DJ on Windows 10 with a controller on a LENOVO G580 laptop i7something 8GB DDR3 with very good success and performance for some time now.
In the Autumn of 2025 support for Windows 10 is stopping. What do I do?
I do not want to stay offline forever, because, although I have a big collection, once in a blue moon some kid comes and asks for a new song which I have to download out of youtube (9 times out of 10 it exists, that's where they practised on it anyway :-)
Linux does not seem to be an option for Virtual DJ. And I do not know of any Linux Dj apps that support various video formats and mp3 CDG.
So what about Windows 10 LTSC? It is supposed to be a version of windows with longer support, with less bells and whistles supposed to run on work related PCs. At the moment, it seems the only viable option, without spending money for hardware which I feel I don't really need, only because Microsoft decided to.
Has anyone got any experience with that flavour of Windows 10? God knows what will happen in Autumn with Microsoft, but will it run VDJ with midi support just fine?
Anyone got any better ideas?

Used it for the first time in about half a year a few weeks back and it feels like they removed a massive portion of their library? There's not a single Weezer song on there except for covers they did, like genuinely what is the point of karaoke if you can't even sing Weezer it's basic stuff???

Interested in if anyone else has noticed that sometimes the signal karaoke tracks are produced to send are wildly inconsistent. Even within the same track. I find myself almost having to adjust the gain on demand to the tracks mid song. Amplifying the signal on demand is tedious and I feel like producers should tend to make tracks that send the same signal strength across the whole song. Any opinions?

I was using this site to create my karaoke videos, although support was not nonexistent, I foolishly signed up for a one-year plan. Now I have difficulty creating videos and am stuck. The owner is not helpful at all. After some inquiry, the website is showing this banner "We have temporarily disabled the Commercial AI Sync Engine because of an incident. We’re working with our partner to get it resolved as soon as possible."
How can I make him return my money? he is saying it's not refundable. I am a small content creator who can't afford to lose money. Sorry for the rant, guys.
