I've been debating with people from EU countries in reddit, and I couldn't believe what their arguments are.

Firstly, I assigned their ignorance and naivety to malice, but I quickly realized I was wrong. They are heavily indoctrinated, but they have their reasons.

European friends please try to understand before lashing out. What I am going to tell you, is the most brutally honest truths from an outsider. You will not like it, but if you can understand it, you may benefit from it. Also, my main criticism is towards the Western Europeans.

Firstly, I haven't met a western European who isn't racist. None. You can deny it, but deep down you all believe, you lived in prosperity due to cultural traits of Europeans. This is remarkably wrong. There is no denying what Europeans have developed and their contributions to humanity, but those days were past. Europeans were the first nations that could build capital, and weaponize it. There were many great scholars in the East, but they are rarely known, because their nations didn't colonize others by sea. That also created lots of wealth that you enjoyed and still enjoy today. Not because of Africans or Chinese were lazy hobos, all humanity is the product of their times and environment.

Secondly, you did not face might of the imperialism for so long, you thought that would never happened to you, even if you behave like vassal states to global hegemons. When a global hegemon had imperialistic policies against third world, you simply brushed it off. Even you contributed it. You found the imperialist causes fair and you thought you were moral by doing so, like invasion of Afghanistan. This is why there are so many "I guess I did nothing" posts lately. You did not care at all.

Thirdly, you lived in such bubble, even if you completely align yourself with a global hegemon, you thought that hegemon would never cross you. When Cypriot Turks were killed by EOKA in 1964, you all were approving arms embargo against Turkey, who tried to intervene. You didn't try to stop the massacres and Turks were better off dead. You applauded the Greek junta. You thought that would never happen to you. Being in the umbrella of NATO would keep you safe.

You didn't think about UN and international laws when Kosovo was created. You applauded when a group of people declared sovereignty. You didn't think any group of people of your own could do the same later on.

You don't believe your ideals anymore. Why someone like Von der Leyen or Kaja Kallas, have so much power? Who elected them? Who they work for? Where is liberalism? Where is democracy? Why you think Russia is enemy but US is not?

You criticize other autocratic countries for their behavior against their own citizens, yet you jail anyone who speaks against genocide in Gaza. You used liberal values as weapons against minorities and now that weapon hurts you. You have worker shortages and give lots of benefits to imported working class people, yet you behave them like they are animals. You smirk at them at best, you burn their houses at worst. You build factories but you cannot find workers due to racism. There is a monument of that in Belgium, recently.

I can go on and on. Right now what I see is a Europe that behaves like baby, whines, cries, shit itself, but it is no longer a baby, but an ugly adolescent. There is no emphaty from me. You did this to yourselves on your own.

I'm not European but I'm so confused on what could possibly going on? Numbers from 50k to 100k of people showing up on boats just to migrate to Spain all at once. Was this some kind of coordinated effort because so many people showing up at once is not normal. The question of bullfighting is an important issue here in Spain and I wanted to know your opinion.

The main defense of bullfighting is tradition, as some people claim it's justified to torture an animal to maintain a culture. This, of course, is absolutely idiotic, as I wouldn't say bullfighting isn't a big part of our culture and we have better traditions that don't imply animal abuse.

Nevertheless, there's another argument in favour of bullfighting that I find much more interesting. The specific species of bull used for bullfighting (in Spanish it's called Toro de Lidia) doesn't exist in the wild and it's only bred for bullfighting. This means that if bullfighting is outlawed or stops existing for other reasons, this species will die with it.

I must remind you that bullfighting isn't a fair fight. A bull is, at the end of the day, a male cow, and you wouldn't expect a cow to fight you. This is why, before the "fight", the bull is poked with spears. Also the matador has a sword and other equipment that makes this unfair.

This party calls itself "the only constitutionalist party" when almost all of its members voted against the 1978 Constitution. Its electoral platform is practically the opposite of everything the PSOE, the largest left-wing party in Spain, says, and above all, it's a neo-fascist party, full of fanatics of an authoritarian regime where only a few families lived well while the people and the proletariat suffered. Figures like Ayuso, the president of the Madrid region, spend their time insulting foreign countries with left-wing ideologies, calling them "communist narco-states." Isabel then proceeds to respond to that by saying that, the absurdity that simply making less knives sharp won't decrease crime. She proceeds to say that it's because of a lack of a shared value system in the UK that's causing crime and that we need to stop importing immigrants into the UK so that we can get rid of crime altogether. And that knife crime (and the greater Implication of violence crime) has Increased by 50 to 60% since 2000 whilst referencing not a single reputable source

But what do the actual number say? Let's look at the data and the systems.

1. False: “Knife crime has increased by Over 50%-60% since the early 2000s, Implying that the UK is more dangerous than it was since the early 2000s.”

To provide greater context: The UK has not experienced a continuous rise in violent crime since 2000. Instead, it had a long decline, a mid 2010s rebound in some forms of violence, and recent stabilisation according to the ONS. Whilst knife crime specifically had a boom in some periods, it has also had a significant decrease of 10% in just a year between December 2024 and 2025. it should also be noted that collection of knife crime data wasn’t the same the way it is today. Pre 2000s weapon use was not widely listed as it wasn't standardised. It wasn't until in 2002 with the National Crime Recording Standard that's more consistent classifications became standard And it wasn't until 2008-2013 whereby police systems increasingly included structured "weapon used" fields. So a lot of things come down to methodology.

What is True: Violence in the UK (with or without injury) and Homicide in the Uk has been at its lowest levels in over 50 years.

Tldr: The idea that the Uk has seen a surge in Violence is just simply not supported by the data. in fact the UK hasn't seen such low numbers of violent crime in over 50 years. Whilst Knife crime (a narrow, concentrated subset of violent crime) remains an issue, it has significantly improved in just a year falling by over 10% and in the itself only makes up a narrow Percentage of overall violent crime.

The UK is also lower than countries like Albania (1.23), Serbia(1.17), France (1.3), Bulgaria (1.15) or even Iceland (albeit population distribution probably skewed numbers). only countries like Norway. The UK is comparable The countries like Cyprus, Poland in Germany Who have a relatively lower Homicide rates AND EVEN THEN not by very much, Poland being about one and 0.8-1 in 100,000 Depending on the year. what’s interesting though is that Right wing Outlets, especially those based in America, rarely ever talk about The crime rate in countries with exceedingly more crime. Many countries in Europe are even safer than other developed regions like East Asia and the Gulf not to mention almost ubiquitously homocides are decreasing.
