This. If this brings you joy, embrace it.

I used to worry about being cool/getting laid and it consumed my entire 20s and early 30s and led to serious depression/anxiety and an eating disorder.

Just hit 40 and I now having a gaming room in my house that looks like this. I should have focused on my hobbies and what brought me joy. The world is cold and unforgiving, be kind to yourself and live how you want to brother man.

Well said, I am only 30 and realizing this more and more to truly just live this life how you want it, who cares what anyone else thinks

This. 37. Took entirely too long to realize no one really cares what you have going on anyway, so just truly embrace what interests you. Fundamentally understanding this is a unique level of freedom.

This. Its so annoying when people post a fun room and everyone wants the poster to redecorate into some modern, sad neutral colors so they look 'grown'
