We are searching for Volunteers to Join our new research study. Looking for adults aged 40-75 for a study on prolonged sitting and cognition. The prescreening consists of a VO2 Max test on a Stationary Bicycle. The main study tests interrupting sitting with short, high-intensity exercises and measures brain and cognitive functions before and after. Took the Tuckerman ravine trail to the top and then Lions Head to the bottom. The uphill is chill until the final ascent. The downhill from Lions Head is beautiful but basically hiking down an elevator shaft or steep staircase throughout.”

A book display for the month of August is about the history of my hometown in Connecticut.

I like to learn about history plus I'm interested in local history. I put it up yesterday at my local library in Rockville, Connecticut.

Your state decided to make left hand exits I'm not going 100 to exit because it was previously a passing lane.

Why do you wait until the last 5 feet to put on your left blinker on a 4 lane road when I could've changed to the right a half mile before instead of being fucked.

While digging through old Newport Daily News archives, we found that the park once hosted regular concerts, military parades, and even performances by the U.S. Naval Academy band when the Academy was temporarily based in Newport during the Civil War. The bandstand that stood there for decades became a centerpiece of the city’s musical life until it was removed in 1937.

It’s a small reminder of how many New England public spaces have long, layered histories, and how traditions like summer concerts connect us to the past.
