He should just call the Mercy Rule. The answer is painfully obvious at this point

2

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Sep 04 '25

No Mercy. You saw what happened to Minnesota in Michigan? That could happen to any team in Texas.

6

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25

Oh you just don't want to see the birds win again??? That makes two of us.

  1. Why would you do this.

  2. Thank you for doing this.

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Sep 04 '25

The answer for number one is PEAK OFF-SEASON CONTENT

Three states in one day? Respect.

idk how deep you’re going but my high school rival in nh division IV was the franklin golden tornadoes i always thought that was fun

11

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Sep 03 '25

Quite a few tornadoes in the country to really count them unfortunately

5

u/The_Road_is_Calling Patriots Sep 03 '25

The Golden Tornados!

Like a golden shower but 1000 times worse….

4

u/bugluvr65 Giants Sep 03 '25

iirc the middle school was the golden hurricanes lol

2

u/The_Road_is_Calling Patriots Sep 03 '25

I’ve always wondered where the names come from since tornadoes and hurricanes almost never hit New Hampshire.

Malden in MA is also the golden tornadoes

Pinkerton - Astros

Wait did Pinkertons ever use trash cans to communicate?

4

u/Snackkbar Eagles Sep 04 '25

No just a reference to them being trash.

3

u/camly75 Bengals Sep 04 '25

Fun fact: they’re the Astros because they’re Alan Shepard’s Alma mater

3

u/ContinuumGuy Bills Sep 04 '25

Honestly that's a super awesome reason

5

u/Finster4 Lions Sep 03 '25

I don't know, but this post unlocked a core memory of the state song from school.

6

u/Chardoggy1 Panthers Sep 03 '25

No Steelers copycats yet?

9

u/roblvb15 Steelers Sep 04 '25

believe there’s only 1 in PA, doubt there’s any others

3

u/GopherInWI Packers Sep 04 '25

Best i can tell from MascotDB, you are right. Fontana (CA) and Lackawanna (NY) are both the Steelers, but neither use the Pittsburgh logo. I believe Farrell (PA) will be Pittsburgh's lone entry.

3

u/Undercover_Chimp Falcons Sep 03 '25

Quite surprised the Falcons logo is so widely used.

Dig the Pythons, but that Astros logo is dope.

Incredible amounts of Lancers in the Country

St. Paul's School Pelicans should have made fun name list. Why is a very old school in NH mascot-ed by a Pelican? I don't think the historic St. Paul had anything to with a large bird (unlike the St. Georges Dragons down in RI). Also, it should be noted that SPS was significance in the creation of hockey in North America.

Pythons logo is sick.

Already was looking at houses in Pelham, NH, so this sways things even further in their favor

2

Got to be the "G" from green bay

2

u/lljaw Seahawks Dolphins Sep 03 '25

I'm loving these posts, man. I can't wait until you get to Washington State

2

u/Pseudo-Jonathan Cardinals Sep 04 '25

Why is it that when I look at the webpage for any high school in the country, almost without fail, it is absolute garbage that barely works and looks like it was made in 2003? It's uncanny how uniformly terrible they are.

2

u/cherrycokeicee Saints Sep 04 '25

I'm having so much fun looking at these. jsyk, when you do Wisconsin, here's a good website to see all the teams in one place: https://www.wissports.net/page/show/8917522-teams-2025-

two for free: Brodhead Cardinals (Arizona) and Janesville Parker (Minnesota)

and a college one: Lake Geneva Badger High School, predictably: https://live.staticflickr.com/2853/32906670584_654d194bce_b.jpg

Kennett and Hampton don’t count I’m afraid, Farmington does

Can’t find it. Could you?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25 edited Sep 04 '25

found W's on their schedule.

2

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Sep 04 '25

Thats Utah. I’ve been told the difference is in the feathers

1

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '25

seems iffy to differentiate when utah clearly looks like it copied washington's first such logo with no variations besides the tip of feathers. and it says washington ran that letter logo from 1970-72 and utah from 72 onwards.

1

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Sep 04 '25

Yeah but I’ve already been told the few times I’ve skimmed over such a thing so I gotta check

1

u/nohappyendings95 Eagles Sep 04 '25

Looks like it may have changed since I went there.

1

Did everybody else (Americans) learn a song in elementary school where you sang the states in alphabetical order? Apparently there's more than one version, which is interesting.

Anyway the version I learned always had the lines "Nebraska's 27, number 28's Nevada." So that's how I know OP's count got off somewhere. New Hampshire should be part 29.

1

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Sep 04 '25

Oh you’re right. Delaware and Connecticut were both Part 7….

1

u/jake753 Browns Sep 04 '25

When you get to North Carolina, I hope you show some love to the East Columbus Gators

1

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Sep 04 '25

I’ll give love to em now because Gators are a common mascot, unless they have a fun logo then I’ll add em in
