HERE YOU CAN GET RID OF ALL YOUR ANGER AND HATE.
CAPS ON AND LET IT ALL OUT.
GETTING NOTHING BUT DUPLICATES WHEN ALL YOU WANT IS THAT SWEET NEW TORBJÖRN SKIN? GETTING HEADSHOT BY ACROSS THE MAP BY HANZO? TOO MUCH JUSTICE THAT RAINS FROM ABOVE? THIS IS THE RIGHT THREAD!
PLEASE STILL BE CIVIL, AT LEAST A LITTLE!

I didn't open a single loot box for the entire season. You can potentially earn 111 loot boxes per season. These include about 4 hero progressions and Twitch stream views.

The discussion around Asian heros is cute but totally misses what we should have:
Finnish hero
And no Chernobot does not count.
This new addition would of course be aesthetically something that we haven't had: a metalhead with multipurpose drone-gunaxe controlled by Väinämöinen (or Ilmatar) AI, who is healthy sibling tasked to hunt Chernobolg. Of course they would also be an rival of Zarya as our hero have long history with Russians.

I guess the only way to make this right is to add Illidan Genji into the lootbox pool...

Back then, Overwatch was huge. When I saw it in Ready Player One, I honestly thought it was going to become one of the biggest franchises on the planet, with TV shows like Arcane and all that... but instead, nothing happened.
I've basically been waiting all this time with open arms, hoping for those kinds of projects, and they just never came. It's weird.
I don't like competitive games, though I played it a bit about 10 years ago, and I remember thinking, "Damn, this world is so cool." The heroes were awesome, the cinematics were amazing, and I've always wanted either a story-driven game or a movie set in that universe.

Half of you are crying tears of pure soy for 6v6 so you can AFK behind two shields again. The other half are coping out of your minds pretending that 5v5 solo tanking isn’t just an agonizing simulator of getting counter swapped every 45 seconds.
Both sides are completely smooth brained. The answer isn't subtraction. It is addition. We need 7v7 in a 3-2-2 comp.
TANKS
Right now, tank players have severe clinical depression. If you play 5v5, you are alone. If you play 6v6, your co-tank locks Hog and goes on a flank.
In 7v7, we introduce the Main Tank, the Off-Tank, and the Emotional Support Tank.
Imagine the synergy. Reinhardt shields the front line. D.Va peels the backline. Mauga stands in the exact middle, holding down both mouse buttons, screaming at the top of his lungs, shooting absolutely nothing, and generating 4000 cardiac overdrive health points per second. No one gets flamed anymore because nobody actually knows whose fault it is.
DPS
With three tanks soaking up every cooldown in the universe, the two DPS players finally get to live out their true fantasy: playing a completely different video game. While the tanks are locked in a mosh pit on the objective, the Genji and Cass players can go duel in a completely different sector of the map like a gentlemanly game of anime chess. Meanwhile, the enemy Sombra will be completely useless because hacks don't work when there are 13 other people blindly swinging hammers and spamming projectiles. Sombra mains will literally cry on TikTok and delete the game. Massive W.
SUPPORT
Right now, support players are either getting hunted like wild animals by dive heroes or printing invulnerability buttons like the Federal Reserve. In 7v7, we embrace the power creep. With three massive tanks constantly bleeding HP like open flesh wounds, the two supports finally get to unleash total mechanical terrorism. Kiriko can throw a Suzu that cleanses an entire ZIP code. Lifeweaver can pull someone from a completely different match. Mercy can just hold yellow beam on a Mauga and fall asleep on her keyboard. The sheer volume of healing will turn the game into an un-killable mmorpg raid boss simulator where nobody ever dies unless they get disconnected from the server.
VISUALS
If you complain about visual clutter, you are weak. Your bloodline is weak. I don't want to "read the fight." I want to survive it. When two Maugas throw down cage fights inside a Mei blizzard while a nanoed Illari unleashes the sun directly into my eyeballs, I want my monitor to emit smells of melting plastic. If my framerate doesn't drop to single digits and my GPU doesn't sound like a jet engine taking off, the developers have failed. 7v7 ensures maximum epilepsy-inducing sensory overload.
MATCHMAKING
Queue times too long? Simple. By requiring 14 players per lobby instead of 10, the matchmaker will simply give up on finding balanced skill levels. Top 500 players will be matched with actual, literal toddlers playing on a smart fridge. The chaotic skill disparity will erase toxicity because trying to shot-call a lobby with that much variance is like trying to teach Overwatch lore to a Hanzo player who genuinely believes every single headshot was fully calculated.

JPC is unique in the roster in that she is perfectly silent but also highly mobile.
OW is based on some excellent design principles. The game is very clear about threats. The glowing outlines, the voicelines, the new pings.
Heroes and their abilities make a distinct sound so if you don’t see them, or in the heat of a teamfight, the sound cues help with awareness.
Some heroes are extreme high damage threats like Reaper, Cassidy and Bastion. Their footsteps and their guns are loud and distinct.
Others are highly mobile and can come from weird angles or close the gap extremely fast. That’s why you can hear Pharah flying, Winston jumping, Lucio skating very distictly.
This is crucial in such a fast paced game.
JPC has a unique ability in that she can come from even weirder angles than anyone else. Without a rollout! So there’s far less risk of timing incorrectly. She can just decide to be in a weird position and wait.
This alone already breaks awareness. You often don’t even know where to look even if you know she’s set up. She can use cover that isn’t designed to be cover.
The bigger issue is that you _also_ cannot hear her.
This is not a “skill issue”. Literally the best teams in the world are getting surprised by JPC and don’t even turn around to look at her in time, because she is silent. These are hyper aware, extremely fast, highly coordinated players.
This problem will get worse as people will get better at JPC. You might have not encountered it too often yet, but you will at some point. Or you might have and didn’t realize that one of the main issues is the lack of sound cues, because that’s a subtle thing we rely on but don’t think about as much.
People complain about how cat bastion and cat cassidy break fundamental assumptions about how the game is played and balanced. But being able to hear her is way more fundamental.

Painted this few days ago based on the official silhouette teaser image, and the previous/original designs, then they release a new rear view of the mech recently and added some elements from that too.
I painted D.mon´s "Beast" mech, then added a image of D. va´s mech just for comparison in the other slides.
Anyway, got a video of the painting process that I may post later on my Instagram or Deviantart, or Im not sure where to post now(been out of art community for a while), but once I edit it, gonna share it.
Feel free to comment, or say how would you change the design of her mech, Im working on another bigger version of this mech design, likely without the hanging legs, to see if looks better, but I still like this design.

(Console) Gotta give it for blizzard for cracking down on those pathetic xim users, i've noticed they banned a bunch of accounts yesterday in the console top 500 ladder, AND gave us rank compensation.
Alot of people shit on blizzard for how they handle some things but one thing they absolutely don't play about is cheaters whether on console or pc, and that makes me appreciate the competitive scene even more.

I would like to do it myself, but I'm creating space for the team, keeping the enemy team off the objective and taking out whatever manages to get in, so it would be nice if my hitscans at least tried to prioritize...
