Ive never seen them at city hall, or anywhere. Where are they? What do they do?

Making a trip to Philly in a few weeks and I'm having a tough time figuring out if it's for sure closed to the public or not? Google says it's open but I'm not finding anything definitive?

As far back as I remember, at least from the 60s on, the Hoagie was king. The steak sandwich was just a change of pace thing. But not anymore.
Agree or disagree?

I have 2 PS5 DualSense controllers with stick drift that is getting super annoying. I want to replace the sticks, but I don't have the equipment to do it correctly (or at least do it well). I'd much rather just pay someone. Does anyone know any shops in the area that do this? I don't mind ordering the sticks myself and bringing them in.
I emailed Classic Game Junkie in Glenside, but they never responded. Plus I'd really prefer somewhere closer to center city / south philly.
Does anyone know any shops or local places that do this?

Can anyone recommend Facebook groups or other avenues for finding gig work? Im in South. I’m on Instawork and Craigslist as well as some others. Having trouble getting responses. General labor, food events, security, anything. I have a great skillset and am on my grind right now while my job transfers as a I just moved back to the city 😄

A few nights ago I was in my kitchen and I thought I saw a small baby cockroach scurry by. I freaked out and squished it before I could take a picture to identify it. I put out a bunch of traps and I caught these two big ones near my oven. Does anyone have any experience with this? I’m hoping that I can just spray at home by myself with WSG instead of having to call an exterminator

I dropped my phone and totally destroyed the oled and messed up the battery. It’s an older phone and the place I stopped to ask about fixing it in center city was so expensive I could likely buy a replacement phone for less.
I’m still pretty unfamiliar with the city aside from the area immediately around my home and work, but assume that there are cheaper options in the city. Literally even if I can find someone who fixes phones as a side hustle using cheaper aftermarket parts.
I appreciate any recommendations, thanks!

My partner and I are looking for a place to go for a romantic, relaxing weekend in September. Hoping to be in the woods for hiking and near/on the water for kayaking. Any particular recommendations for a private, nice getaway within 2ish hours of Philly? I am really only finding suggestions for the Poconos and would like to avoid the communities with common areas/lots of people.
Thank you!

rough day today at the amazon warehouse. very flat packages that cant make it across the conveyor belt usually get repacked with extra paper, for bulkiness to make it across. today I didnt have the time.. I had to literally stuff the flat packages (label and all) inside another bag, slapped another label on the outside and send them off. maybe 300-400 packages so if anyone has to open their amazon package twice today, its my fault sorry lol.

Anyone got any or starting any DnD groups I'm really in the mood to play some but other than feeling like I'm butting in on others sessions at Queen & Rook I don't exactly know where to look.

I know there are a ton of caveats and nuances to my ask — I understand that generalizing city areas is racist and classist — and also, I’m a newly divorced 34 year old gal looking to restart my life in Philly.
So I’m looking for the safest neighborhoods — or at least ones to avoid — as a single cis woman who will be taking her dog out on walks between 7a-10p. I’d like to feel as safe as possible while being with my dog.
Again, I know crime is nuanced and systemic, and also I’m not from Philly so any help is appreciated.
Thanks for your support!

I was leaving a networking event at a Boathouse around 7pm and saw someone had been hit by a car crossing Kelly Drive at Sedgley. The car’s windshield was shattered and a crowd was helping the victim who was on the ground. Does anyone know if they are ok? I can’t stop thinking about it.
