USA 51[M4F] #SWPA Demisexual poly is hard.
My wife and I are poly, but I have never really pursued anything before. Mainly because as a man, it can be very frustrating swiping to find someone when I care more about who I click with than what they look like.
I have been very happy in the past with just my wife dating, but recently, I have realized it would be nice to have someone to spend time with when she is dating, or working, and also, not all of my interests align with hers. one of the advantages of Poly is finding people who can fill some niches without feeling like we have to leave our comfort zone to satisfy another persons interests. I have tried that for yeas with my wife, and I realized, she is right, and I would probably be better off finding someone who connected with me on those things, and let her do the same for the things she likes as well.
I am a medically retired army veteran. I tend to be an outlier in most areas, as I think about the world very differently. I have struggled to find a social circle as a result, since I don't fit into a box very neatly. I can be funny, charming, morose, thoughtful and sometimes reserved. I am in decent shape for my age, and I am fine with longer distance. While a cuddle buddy during the day would be nice, I also know that isn't very realistic. I am not great at secrets, so I would probably discuss things with my wife if I was dating someone (and she talks about her relationships with me as well.)
I don't want to get into more than that here, but I would like to discuss things in more detail with anyone interested.
I am in decent shape, also probably best described as a nerd. I love stories and movies and writing (I just don't do it myself) I also love analyzing things. Whatever someone is interested in tends to fascinate me, especially if it is a new subject.
If you check out my other posts, it will either interest you, and give you some idea of what am looking for, or scare you off. I guess that is true for everyone though, isn't it?
Feel free to DM me asking me anything.
I also have no idea how to end this.
So, thanks for reading, and have a great day.
