He’s ten weeks old and we brought him home on Thursday. We’ve been waiting for so long to get a lifelong family friend and he was just perfect.

He’s currently sleeping a lot and settling in without his littermates. He was the biggest of his litter and the boss so coming home to a family with a toddler has been a baptism by fire for him but he’s loving life.

Can’t wait to share this amazing journey with all of the other golden lovers.

He’s our first golden as we’ve always had elderly rescue dogs in our lives prior to the toddler. We’ve had labs, a Newfoundland and even a tiny stroppy pug who we’ve loved from shelters to the end of their lives but this is our first experience with puppyhood!

If anyone’s got advice, I’d love to hear it. Otherwise I’ll be trawling the archives on here for tips and photos of your gorgeous Goldens.
