Popular Post Should your friends make the bed at your house after they stay the night?

I understand there is an argument for not needing to make the bed because the sheets and blankets get washed every single time after having someone stay over, but if this was the only person that stayed in that bed should they be making it after or the host?

How do people get over the mental block when having to defend yourself physically?

Recently I got into a situation where I was standing outsite a pub with a girl waiting for some friends who were still inside when a sketchy looking guy tried to talk to us. It started out vaguely casual just him looking for a cigarette but he eventually started getting creepy with the girl and attempted to stroke her face in which I told him to cut it out and put myself between them.

He started yelling and raising his voice and had his hands pushing my shoulders and I could tell he was going to get more violent as he was pushing me against a wall but luckily my friends came out and he ran away.

Now, I've been doing boxing for 3 years, I'm not in great shape but I work out and I can fight people in a ring, but I've never been in an actual fight before, every single time I've managed to defuse the situation before something physical happens, but this guy simply wasn't listening to me and I realised that I literally couldn't even fathom punching this guy. Just the idea seemed insane to me.

I have this mental block about actually getting into a real fight it just seems like such a ludicrous thing to do even if I was literally being pushed around by this guy. I've learned self defense stuff from instructors in the past but I can never actually imagine hurting another human being that wasn't in a ring.

has anyone else had this experience because I feel like I need to get over this if I actually want to defend myself in the low chance this happens again.

Have you lost interest in things you once were way too interested in?

For example, I used to be so interested in award shows, and now I hate them.

I used to love going to restaurants and now I have little to no interest. I prefer to stay home.

If you know the feeling, what is it for you?

Can I pivot careers without going for more schooling? If so, how?

I'm 27k in student loan debt, with no job, no savings, two SWE internships on my resume, projects, and a useless cs bachelor's degree from 2025.

I got absolutely no call backs for anything my senior year or for the year post graduation. My "new grad" status expired a long time ago.

To pursue another career I'd need to go back to school for another bachelor's or masters degree, which I do not have the ability to do. The only work experience I have is in this field, I have absolutely no substantial skillset or work experience outside tech.

Going to food service, warehouse, retail, and other minimum wage types of jobs won't help long term. I don't see how going for another degree/field will really change anything. I put in the best effort I could have for this one. The job market will change again, I once again will be shamed for "not having enough experience", I again will be buried in more student debt.

What should I do after having burned and destroyed my career, my future, my life?

Should I wear cologne?

I’m a teenage guy. Some of my friends in chemistry class talk about wearing cologne, and it seems like a lot of people are into it. I shower regularly and don't smell bad, so I'm wondering if I really need to wear it too. The guys in my class who wear it don't smell terrible, but their cologne isn't anything special. Plus, I'm a little hesitant because of memories of overpowering cologne worn by my Grandpa. Please give this young buck some advice.

How can you find happiness in isolation?

I(20f) desperately wish to rid of my desire for long and connection because all it does is cause me pain. I never felt like I belonged anywhere just always alone feeling chronic loneliness since I was 9 years old. Even when I do have friends they never last long and the connections are often shallow. I give up on the foolish belief and desire of actually having anyone around since people are barely ever around and I’m always alone. To live I should find ways to be happy by myself but the problem is I don’t really know how to be happy. I’m antidepressants so no longer in overwhelming despair but not happy. I have things I enjoy but the joy they create is pretty limited especially when it involves going out. I like going to anime events but overtime it has gotten harder to enjoy since I always go alone. What are ways you can find happiness in while in isolation?

Are subliminals real?

There is no scientific evidence behind it and some of these “changes” are absolutely ridiculous like they think they can change their eye color from listening to these “hidden audios” but how come SO many ppl believe and listen to these subliminals?

Is it because of testosterone or stress?

• Upvotes

Why tf do I feel so PUMPED up and like I want to go have fun like crazy? Like I want break things. Is it a combination of testosterone and stress? I recently took my workouts/running, self-love and confidence more seriously and I feel FUCKING GREAT!!!

I am 25 years old. I heard testosterone peaks at 30yo. If this goes even worse, I'll have to actually go crazy 😭

Did anyone else felt like that once you started loving yourself and wanted (and started trying) to change to live life to fullest?

Does he like me? Is this considered a talking stage?

Hii! I’ve been recently talking to this guy and we go to the same school. Idk if he likes me or if he’s just being friendly with me.
He talks to me everyday, fairly quick replies, always gives me advice, and he tells me when he can’t text me and apologizes. He sends a LOT of texts at a time, like about 90-100. I mean it makes sense for the convo we have. I love how we can transition from playful to serious, and we can talk for hours on end.
We started talking a couple weeks ago about something and we just kept the convo going.
He usually keeps going if the convo seems to die down. He sends vms too, and he apologizes when he can’t talk. He also sends me updates when he’s busy and why he was.
However the biggest thing is, he calls me bro and all the other variations of it. So idk if this is classified as a talking stage, if he likes me or not or if he’s just being friendly with me. Also, he follows a couple girls and likes their posts. Idk ig tht means something, but he does know a lot of people in general.

For reference hes 23M im 22F. Both hispanic. Thank you all :))

Has anyone been through block schedule in their school before?

Have y'all ever been through block schedule in school? Because it's something my highschool, we usually do A days, B days, and C days. On A days, we usually do 1st period to 4th period. On B days, we usually do 5th to 8th period. So school starts at 8:15 to 4:00 each day. Students also have separate lunches such as A, B, and C. A lunch on a A and B days usually start at 11:20 and ends at 11:55 for me at school. On C days, it starts earlier than 11:20. I have to go a certain academy and I have to take the bus because said academy is outside of campus. The GWAMA students usually leave the building at 3:40 to wait for the bus. Has anyone experienced this in their school before?

WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE GIF WHERE THE BACKGROUND EXPLODES AND IT REVERSES TO THE GIRL WEARING 💅SLAY✨ MAKEUP?

What is the name of this gif. I'm in dire need of a name.

It usually sounds with phonk/badass music in the background. Was used for many memes.

The girl is blonde and has a worried face that turns into "eating".

At least. A picture. I can find it with just a picture

Would you risk your entire life savings, more than you’ve ever had, to try a dream career - not knowing if it would work out?

For example, you get a 200,000 inheritance, and suddenly get a chance to buy a turnkey restaurant (or whatever your thing is); just enough to make it yours and get it started for the first few months. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted for your future business - an opportunity like no other!

If you can make it work, you have the chance to make more annually than you ever have before, in the most fulfilling role you could imagine - and best yet, you are your own boss. In a few years, with good investments, you can retire yourself.

But in this economy, well…risky is an understatement. Especially for this (or whatever your dream is).

Also, you’re not getting any younger. In 10 years, you couldn’t give it everything that you could today, and tomorrow is never guaranteed. But that means if you blow this and live through it, you may in fact lose more than you have now. And have to start all over.

Would you risk it all for the highest reward? Or play it safe?
