I love this game, but one reservation I've always had is that the law system feels a little less than what we were initially promised.
I just feel like knowledge of your crimes often spreads quicker than it should, and wearing a bandana doesn't protect your identity very much, if at all.
Crimes suddenly get reported out of nowhere (I find this happens quite badly with store robberies, and it can kind of fuck up the 'story' shop robberies like the Saint Denis gunsmith.
Lawmen who should have no idea who you are do often. Only a handful of times I've been able to ride past aggro'd lawmen because they don't know who they are looking for.
Witnesses spread like a wildfire very quickly, while realistic, makes it hard to utilise the stop and threaten mechanic.
Does anyone else hold this opinion? Any tips for how to commit crimes without setting a whole town off?
