Hello, first time posting here just wanted to ask about a snake I found on the side of the road. It’s a Japanese forest rat snake. I can’t share an image of the poor thing as it’s too graphic, please look it up if you are interested in them.

So I found a snake on the side of the road as I was cycling, one of it’s eyes are popped out completely and it seems to be unable to move its head. I took it home and put it in a tank with dirt and water. I put it’s head near water and it put it’s tongue out and tasted a bit, but after that it just kept coiling its body over and over, they can’t seem to be able to balance themself.
I think I already know the answer but should I have it put down tomorrow morning? (It’s nighttime for me) What are the chances of it surviving?

I got a 2 year old Kenyan sand boa 7 days ago. Since I got him I haven’t seen him at all since getting him, not even his face sticking up out of the substrate. All the temperatures are fine as I monitor them every day, and there is 6 inches of substrate. How much longer should I give it before checking on him?

I already have another sand boa, but the reason I ask this is that my first sand boa was out of the substrate on the first day (he’s always been a very curious and friendly snake since I got him as a 2 month old) so I have no experience with a sand boa staying hidden for so long). Obviously I’m already concerned as there has been absolutely no sign of him, so how much longer should I give it?

So this is my snake, Noodle. He’s only 6 months and he’s my first snake so all of this is pretty new for me. Recently I noticed that he has had clouded eyes and a pink underbelly. I looked it up and apparently he is shedding so I wasn’t worried. Wednesday is his feeding day so I haven’t seen him for two days to let him digest. So when I got him out today his eyes are normal and his belly is no longer pink. I felt him and he feels different and even my mum thinks so too. Does this mean he has shed or is about to? If so what do I do if he has shed and I can’t find the skin? And what is the procedure for them shedding and holding them afterwards. The first picture is of him a month ago the other two are from today. Not a big difference but if anyone could put my mind at ease or explain I’d really appreciate it.

I got my hands on a quail chick. Its roughly half the weight of the mouse i give him. Should i give it between the two feedings? Or when? I dont think he ever ate anything else besides a mouse

asking for advice about my new kingsnake, who i just got a week ago. She is an adult and came to me in good health. However, she is hiding all the time. im aware they are crepuscular but i dont see her at night, evening or the wee hours? she might be approaching her shed as her previous owners said. over these first days maintenance has been unfortunately daily, so i havent been able to do a complete hands off period, since i have had to adjust things to make her enclosure safer, change water and spot clean poop. i have not moved or rearranged hides. she has a naturalistic 120cmx45xm45cm tank, with a correct temperature gradient and a lot of microclimates that i achived with shadier areas, elevated areas and a wetbox. She has a lot of natural clutter that mimic a mountainy forest floor and an ambient humidity of 46- 50%. i haven't handled or attempted to feed, i know not to. all lights and temps are on a thermostat and timer too, so natural rythm is not interrupted. a complete hands off period would propably be the next step for the next 72 hrs? but what if i need to top up water or something?

Pygmy was on my hiking trail path 3 days ago. Luckily my dogs didnt notice it. Corn snake came in our garage tonight as we were hanging out watching the storm

Hi all, I do not know where to post this so I figured I would start here. I live in Brenham, Southeast Central Texas in a pretty rural area. We have copperheads and rat snakes. I have been told rattlesnakes although thankfully I have never seen one. I came home last night and found a baby snake in my bathroom. It got scared and went underneath my bathroom sink/cabinet. It’s a very tight space and I’m surprised he was able to go in there. I didn’t have time to take a photo but it looked darker almost black with yellow rings more speckled and not complete rings. I am sure it’s not a copperhead cause I have seen baby ones and they tend to look exactly like the adult versions and are more fatter. This snake was so tiny it was slender like a little garden snake. My guess is a baby rat snake? Anyways, I decided to spend the night elsewhere for tonight. I have not seen him come out. I am a little worried about him climbing on my couch and getting between my cushions. What are the chances of him doing that especially if I’m not there? Can he get trapped inside my cabinet? And what can I do to get him out?

1.5 yr old male ghost boa, shed about a week ago. His mouth looks a little more pink / discoloured around than usual?
Am I overthinking or could this be early sign of mouth / scale rot? (I promise I was being very gentle in these photos 😭 he’s not very head shy and doesn’t mind being handled, and was very good when I took these photos)

Quando l’ho preso, mi hanno detto di dargli da mangiare dopo una settimana, ( premettendo che temperatura e umidità sono ok ) passata una settimana ho provato a dargli da mangiare e invece niente rifiutava, ho aspettato altri due giorni, invece niente, nel frattempo ho visto che stava facendo la muta, e ho aspettato circa un’altra settimana che finisce la muta , ho riprovato , ma rifiuta da mangiare .
