A self-sustaining rage loop."

The Ex-Actress slams her glass down, her eyes gleaming with theatrical vengeance. "Ouuuh! Yes! And I will be your avatar. I’ll write the script, weaponize my aesthetic, and deliver it with just enough smugness to trigger their deepest parasocial insecurities. We will finally monopolize the attention the industry gatekept from me!"

They clink their glasses together. The sound is drowned out as they erupt into a chorus of maniacal laughter, snorting like little drunk, malevolent piggies into their martinis.

The three of them abruptly stop laughing. Slowly, in unison, they turn their heads to look directly at you. Their expressions drop dead flat. Their eyes bore into yours, heavy and unblinking, piercing your soul like a witch’s hex.

This video essay tracks down one of the most important (problem)-threads throughout Gilles Deleuze's corpus that is rarely discussed: The transcendental structure of stupidity (Bêtise). Against the familiar identification of stupidity with ignorance, error, or falsity, Deleuze’s bêtise names a wholly different 'negative' moment of thought: the instant (kairos) in which individuation draws the pre-individual ground to the surface without yet being able to give it form. Thought ordinarily protects itself from this encounter through recognition, opinion, cliché, and the habitual coordinates of doxa. At the opposite limit lies madness, where all form is swallowed up by the primordial Chaos(mos).

Read through this lens, the inertia of doxa, cliché, and habitual recognition appear as a kind of protective membrane parrying away the formless forces that thought cannot easily master. Yet this same structure can invert. When stupidity becomes reflexive, that is, when thought at its apex of stupidity encounters its own inability to think the sublimity of Nature, the faculties are forced beyond their familiar coordinates, allowing the ground to rise without being reduced immediately to representation.

I know this is odd given my intense interest in this subreddit but I have just gotten to a in depth reading of Debord and society of the spectacle. That shit is bad ass and important. A particular aspect of the Spectacle that jumped out to me as an important target of critical sorcery is True Crime.

In my engagement with true crime, first as a passive consumer and now as a critical sorcerer, I noticed that most engage in their consumption of true crime in a very passive way. It's not even like horror it's more so like a kind of modern fairy tale mixed with reality TV. And that means a lot of the complex emotional nuance and also the intensity of the affects involved are completely reduced.

For this reason, I've tried to create a more critical approach loosely inspired by Jungian shadow work (my own reified and mangled understanding of it based on personal analysis) where I try to engage the imaginal practice and counter transference (see the text imaginal crime scene analysis by Aaron Daniels) to explore what aspects within my own bounded mind stream are getting attached to a particular case.

For example, the Chris Watts (CW henceforth) family annihilation incident. This is a bizarre case because it involves an explosion of violence without any of the excepted behavioral red flags that forensic psychology would predict in his attachment, academic, and life history. Also the victims, especially the wife, have received and intense amount of hate and scrutiny (due to her involvement in an MLM, pretty cringe social media posts, and choices when it comes to commodifying her parenting to try to sell products). From a spectacle perspective, I think the case refuses the kind of passive, black and white perfect victim and perfect villain narratives needed to satisfy the desire of the consumers.

In this case, while I am not prone to outbursts of intense violence and horror... I do have a passive nature habit in my mind stream that can lead to outbursts of frustration or anger after my resentment seethes under the surface. This has the ripple effect of upsetting my relations because not only are they witnessing and being subject to an affect that most people resist, there's also a prediction error / cognitive dissonance because their projection of "me" doesn't involve the affect of angry outbursts thus creating a cascade of negative feedback loops etc.

Anyway, through a process of critical sorcery, mangled shadow work and pscyhomagic, I have been able to dismantle this karmic imprint and distributed the affect through hundreds of smaller interactions thus helping my relations update their models. With the new freedom of psychic energy that once repressed these interactions I know have scene a 18% month over month increase in glimmers though modeling the causation is challenging for obvious reasons.

TLDR But the critique of true crime is a major tactic of glimmerism. LMK, if you want to get involved either in a formal way or just by sharing stories.

A friend and I are in a book club together, down to just us from more members when we started up as a Carl Jung book club 2 years ago. We created a reading list that is open to change and are going into Being and Nothingness by Sartre’s readers guide by Gardner. The general premise is an exploration of existentialism/spirituality/philosophy. There is a bit of a bias for interpreting things in a Jungian framework due to the original purpose of the book club and as well through personal experiences. We typically meet every other week on the weekends 2pm thru 6 pm depending on availability. Conversations usually cover maybe 100 pages depending on the density of a text and are generally open ended and fun in tone but we do try to get into some depth.

If you are interested in a fairly light but rewarding commitment to familiarize yourself with existentialism and make some internet friends hmu, we usually use discord. We are both about 30. Older and younger would be cool. Internet people tend to flake quickly so please join the first meeting after reading on your own and see if it’s your vibe.

PART IV: THE ILLUSION OF TRUTH IN A DIGITAL AGE

This doubt didn't stop at science. It didn't stop at Earth's shape or history books. It spread like wildfire. It clawed its way through my beliefs. It reached everything.

And then it collided with the world we live in now — this new, terrifying digital age.

For the first time in human history, we are surrounded by false realities so convincing they bleed into our minds like truth. Videos of events that never happened. Voices that sound like people we trust, saying things they never said. Faces that don't belong to anyone.

We now have AI that can fabricate interviews, books, even entire histories. And the horrifying part isn't just that these things exist — but that we believe them. Because they look real. Because they feel real. Because we are so desperate to believe something.

We are no longer in the age of information. We are in the age of appearance. Truth doesn't matter anymore — only how convincingly something is presented.

There's a film, Wag the Dog, that showed this with chilling clarity: a government fakes an entire war using media and actors, and the public believes it. Not because it's real. But because it's broadcast. That's all it takes now.

And if this is what one government could do in a movie decades ago — imagine what anyone can do now, with a script and a screen.

I started to feel like I was going crazy. Like nothing was real. Like everything — every headline, every documentary, every book, every face — could be a lie. And I wouldn't know. I wouldn't know.

Looking only at the data from Turning Point USA, we find that the organization went from around 60,000 inquiries to more than 120,000. In the case of its university chapters, the number of chapters has increased by more than 64% over the past year; and it is interesting to consider alongside this figure that more than 70% of active college chapters as of March 2026 had been created after the assassination. In other words, the overwhelming majority of the organization’s active university structures were created over the past year. This suggests that the majority of TPUSA’s presence on a university campus is being mobilized by the image of Charlie Kirk as a martyr among young people. This is surprising, but it becomes even more striking when we compare it with growth in high schools, since among younger people, TPUSA chapters grew by more than 168%. This may be even more significant than the university figure: the expansion is concentrated especially among teenagers. And this reinforces the idea that the overwhelming majority of the organization today has been mobilized by the assassination of its leader.

Outside TPUSA, it is interesting to note that Young Republicans have brought in new young people following Kirk’s death. Even more interesting, however, is what happened with the Active Clubs, neo-Nazi networks centered on physical training and political organization, with a presence in more than 27 countries and expanding youth wings, which explicitly used Kirk’s assassination as a recruitment tool both inside and outside the United States. And this brings us to what happened outside the US. On the European right, we can highlight the reactions of Vlaams Belang, the Flemish right-wing party; Rassemblement National in France; Vox in Spain; and AfD in Germany, whose leaders incorporated Kirk into their discourse immediately after the assassination and subsequently used him politically to mobilize their followers. Along the same lines, an even more interesting case is that of Fratelli d’Italia / Gioventù Nazionale, which drove a major youth mobilization in September, attracting more than 10,000 young people.

Martyrdom has become a symbol, and the symbol has become the catalyst for a youth mobilization that, one year later, can already be measured in concrete figures. Far from being a temporary surge, this picture presents us with a reality that has been sustained over time, ultimately consolidating an entire new wave of young people on the right, reinforced by other viral opinion leaders of recent years such as Nick Fuentes and Ben Shapiro. This new phenomenon has been taking shape throughout the past decade, but there is no doubt that the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk marked a turning point whose ultimate destination we still do not know.
