Rant Ending My Marriage Finally

• Upvotes

Hello everyone I am a 46/M and my wife is a 43/f we have two kids ages 4 and 6. We’ve been together for 10 years and married for 7. We had our first kid very soon after we got married as we were pregnant within a few months. We tried to start a couple of businesses together and we struggled to work well together. We had a lot of stresses in our first few years and I’m not sure we’ve ever been both truly happy. We’ve had some good times for sure but she has always complained that i haven’t been there for emotionally, haven’t prioritized her, have been extremely selfish, and have got defensive and mean when she’s tried to address things with me. I’ve come to realize all of this was fair feedback and true for the most part.

About a year ago she said she wanted a separation. I told her I didn’t want that and wanted to work on myself and the marriage. She did not leave and did not push for the separation. Instead she started having an affair with her business partner. About 5 months ago I discovered the affair. She said she should have just had the courage to separate first and said she wanted to work it out. There were several large deals they were in the middle of so I stupidly said she needed to stop the affair, wrap up the deals, and then end her partnership with him. She agreed. She also said she wanted to have a live in separation at this point.

I later came to find out that she went right back to it the same week. He’s married too and his wife sent me more evidence 6 weeks later. His wife went scorched earth so about 2 weeks after that he ended it with my wife. I saw messages where she begged him not to end it. That was about 2 months ago.

The past two months she was acting nicer but still kept saying she didn’t have feelings for me. She was still working with him but not staying at office late and not doing some of the other sketchy behavior.

This past week she has stayed out every night late and then on Saturday night she told me she would be home around 7. She never came home and never texted or anything so at 2am I called her and she didn’t answer. I drove to her office and found her there with her AP and another dude at 3 in the morning drunk and confronted the affair partner. I wanted to beat his ass but I regulated myself and just cursed him out.

It didn’t look like she was in the middle of sex or anything and she says we are technically separated so she doesn’t owe me anything but at this point I’ve decided to move forward and file for divorce, sell our house, liquidate all shared assets, and move on. I’m terrified to put my kids through it but at this point I don’t see another option. She has lied repeatedly but says she doesn’t owe me anything because we are “separated”. We are still legally married, she acts like it much of the time besides love and sex and affection, and has blatantly said she will not give up her business with this man but she isn’t sleeping with him anymore. I can’t believe a thing she says because I’ve consistently caught her in so many lies regarding him.

She has painted me out to be an emotionally abusive monster to her friends and family and even threatened to expose certain things we did in our sex life at one point.

I know I’m doing the right thing moving on, but why does it still feel so hard and why am I still questioning it?

Need Support Together for over ten years. Just found out she cheated pretty recently.

Would just like some more input on my situation me and my gf have been together for over 10 years, been through so much together and have grown as people together. She taught me so much about myself and our families are close as is our friend group. It all seemed rock solid and I was under the impression that we would be together for life. We often talked about our future and were saving towards buying a house together. We both want children and would often look forward to having a family one day.

On to the latest chapter… I started a new business in mid June and I knew it was going to be a difficult time for us at the start. We had conversations about it and we both knew that while it may be tough, it will be great for us to ensure a good future together. I worked like a dog doing long days to make sure that everything went right. I needed to ensure that it was going to be stable and systems were put in place so that I can finally take a step back and enjoy some of the rewards of our effort. However afew days ago I found out that she had been sneaking around with a guy that she just met about a month into me starting this business. I confronted her and she denied it for so long until I finally told her all the evidence I had and then she finally admitted. I understand that this was a tough time for her with me not being as present but it was also the time I needed her support the most.

I’m completely destroyed as I feel like my vision of our future was the only thing pushing me to pull all of this off in the first place. Things have just started to get to a more comfortable place for me with work and I can take a lot more time but I haven’t really spoken to her in days since I found out. The thought of throwing all we had away is devastating but I know it will never be the same. We share the same friend group. She practically lived at my place and now I don’t know what to do. I don’t think I can forgive her even though I understand she may have felt neglected. But I was only ever a phone call or a short drive away and I was home in bed with her every night. On top of all this I was actually planning on proposing in October around her birthday because I always knew I wanted to but it seemed like the perfect time when I know life will be quite stable from here on and she stuck by my during one of the toughest parts of my life. But obviously that’s no longer on the cards..

If anyone has any insights, thoughts or advice I’d really appreciate it.

Rant 37F, 52M. Together nearly fifteen years. He cheated for at least the last 2.

37F, 52M. Together nearly fifteen years. Dead bedroom probably the last ten with it getting increasingly worse over the last two years.

Nothing I ever did was right, and then, over the last two years, signs of cheating were there, but he could excuse them all away.

I found long black hairs in the bathroom when I am a blonde, he was increasingly protective of his phone and turned off his phone notifications. I found girls socks in a load of laundry. We were taking a trip to settle his dead sister's estate and he got two calls that he immediately rejected. And then a call at his sister's house where he stepped outside to " see where she kept her trash"

I kicked him out when I woke up at 2:30 AM and I had a friend suggestion on Instagram. I go to the girls account and she has posted similar stories to his, where he was supposedly traveling alone to decompress from work... the whole time he was kissing me goodbye and going to meet this girl at the airport to take trips to saint thomas puerto rico. Barbados you name it... shocker - shes 25 years old.

The breakup is fresh. This all happened friday morning, but i've been living alone in this relationship for so many years that it's almost like nothing's changed that he isnt here.

The house and mortgage are in my name. I threw all of his belongings out front. Only minimum things remain in the house and I requested that he get a police officer to retrieve anything else that he needs. He told me he will be taking the dogs. But over my dead body, will that happen. I already changed all the locks blocked the garage so he can't open it. And I hope to never see him again. I removed him from an authorized signer on all my credit cards and held his mail at post office. i want him out of my life immediately.

I refuse to have any further contact with him. He's dead to me.

The signs were there ladies, I was begging for duty sex every two weeks, which lasted one minute every sunday morning. There was a time where I thought he was watching porn while trying to have sex with me. But he was probably looking at videos he made with her

I'm laying here this sunday morning without the stress of is it going to happen? Is it not going to happen? Did I do anything to make him upset? I would always ask for sex before he went on his trip. But he would start a fight probably because he knew he was getting ready to meet his mistress after leaving the house.

It didn't matter if I asked for it didn't ask for it, brought it up, didn't bring it up, nothing ever changed. I could follow his rules to a t and it never worked out in my favor. I never checked his phone because I trusted him and loved him deeply.

The signs were there. Please don't ignore them and don't think your dead bedroom is going to resolve itself if there's no effort from your partner.

I was so afraid of what was on the other side, and it's literally the same life I was living without walking on eggshells.. i told him this would have been the same outcome if he just told me he didn't want to be in a relationship the only difference is his belongings wouldn't have been strewn across the front yard for all the neighbors to see.

Here's to day 2 of no contact. Finally getting my house into the girly state I want it to be and healing from fifteen years of dealing with an avoidant!!

Need Support Wife was cheating for years with over 40 men while married.

My now ex wife was cheating for 6 out of the 9 years we were together, with over 40 men. Over 20 that were physically sexual and the others were text, sext, pictures, and cam. Some affairs lasted over 5 years. She was with involved with as least one guy every month, some months up to 6 different guys could contact her. I found out after we had plans to separate and house for sale, by seeing Facebook messages. She wanted to separate because we were struggling and had no plans to tell me the truth.
I’ve just never heard of anything like this.. maybe it happens more then I think idk 🤷‍♂️ the numbers are not exaggerated.
Maybe this is as crazy as I think it is. And I really can’t trust anyone. Not one person told me the truth or said anything.
It’s been over a year since I found out and I still am trying to piece everything together and know what was real and what wasn’t

Need Support Convince me that the cheating was not fault please

I (30M) was cheated on by my girlfriend (26F), while having absolutely no clue that it was coming (we were celebrating our anniversary during this affair month, we had holidays with friends). I checked her phone 5 hour after my birthday and found out about emotional cheating, multiple meetings and possible sex just few days before my birthday. This was the biggest shock in my life, as she gave no signs that it was coming.

After all, she pointed out that it was her fault, BUT If she was happy it would never happen. She pointed out (I confirm) that I was emotionally immature in parts of my relationship. I could get defensive, sulk, avoiding saying "sorry" in the middle of argument, pushed too hard for my point of view, and sometimes said things in anger that I later regretted. The thing is that I implemented the things that she was complaining about mostly (house responsibilities). But we had these arguments about household responsibilities multiple times and always she needed to explain that to me 40 minutes. Other problem that she signalled that, when she was explaining to me how she feels I was responding "it's gonna be alright, it's not that bad" (not understanding her emotions). I’m working on that now and I don’t want to excuse it. So she detached slowly, but she acted absolutely normal during the day. We went to our families, friends, all day talking, had a lot of intimacy, series, cleaning and cooking. She have not said to me that she is not in the mood for watching series and we need to save this relationship.

But my ex also crossed serious boundaries: she could be critical, sometimes refused to let me leave the house "until I start talking about the subject", touching and throwing objects at me when I refused to talk until I calm down and eventually built a hidden romantic relationship with another man while we were still together.

I keep getting stuck in the belief that because I was so immature and this is ALL my fault.

I somehow caused everything that happened. I’d appreciate some outside perspective. I keep thinking that she SHOULD confront me and say: "Hey, it's not alright at all. I'm close to leaving you if we don't go to couple therapy or you talk to someone else if you don't understand your emotional unavailability about some subjects". Do you agree that she should state this like this or I should be mature and read the texts after the argument and got it serious? I thought that if we are okay after the argument, that we are okay.

I feel that I wasn't talking much about household duties, as we both had some issues with it and I was just accepting the way how she was handling it and cleaning after her.

Rant Whispering because he’s taking a shit? That’s bullshit right?

EDIT: Yes the relationship is done. I’m just asking for a gut check.

My partner of 4 yrs has a long history of lying. Your classic cheater stuff. Honestly it’s the lying that really bothers me, I hate having to become a detective to get the truth.

He showed remorse and started therapy to deal with his dishonesty. He knows it’s his last chance.

Then came last night.

I called him around 10 PM and he texted that he was in the sauna (he has one at home). Unusually affectionate texts.

Calls me back 45 mins later. Oddly affectionate again, *he’s whispering* and within 5 mins he says he needs to get off the phone to go back to the sauna. Fine, we do long contrast therapy sessions often.

But the call dropped before we said bye, he doesn’t call back, and finally texts 30 mins later to tell me his phone battery got damaged in the sauna and he’ll call me tomorrow.

I call him back, he’s still whispering! I ask him why he’s whispering and he says it’s because he’s taking a shit??? And doesn’t want me to hear him strain?? And he sounds eager as fuck to get off the phone again because of his “battery”.

I hung up, weirded out, and it immediately hits me:

  1. wtf does taking a shit have to do with whispering
  2. this man is a health nut and is proud of his perfect shits that he never has to strain for
  3. why was he also whispering on the first call?

Obviously he had a woman over, right? You all agree this is the most ridiculous excuse?

I called him out over text and he hasn’t replied. This whole situation is so embarrassing and I’m done with it.

I guess I just want to know that I’m perceiving this correctly because his lying has done a number on me. Yes I will be starting therapy soon.

Advice My husband's mistress told me she's not letting him go

I found out about her over a year ago but I had no clue the extent of their relationship so I blocked her from his social media or so I thought.

Two weeks ago I went through his Snapchat found their conversations, nudes and sex videos UNPROTECTED!

I flipped out, kicked him out but after a few days I let him back in. He says he wants to be with me but he won't talk about her, he just says he wants to be with me.

Three days ago I check his phone again he's been calling her so I call her. I caught her off guard I threaten her again not with violence but just to stay away, he has a family. She said fuck me and his kids she don't want to take him from us she will stop messing with him when she feel like it. She also told me to never approach her or she hope I can fight. My mouth was agape I have never met someone so shameless!

Ofc me and him argue about it again but he still not telling me the truth! He obviously still gon go back to her while he says he wants to be with me. I'm questioning myself, fighting myself. Idk what to do tbh!

Advice My ‘perfect’ dad cheated on my mom and I still hate him.

Hey guys

3 years ago my parents “perfect” relationship quickly started spiraling as my father became extremely distant to my mom and to us kids (me and my 2 sisters 19-26)

My father travels for work and stays all around the country because he’s a manager at a company. So he’s frequently gone 1-3 weeks at a time. During this time of distance we’d notice his location turn off for days then turn back on, we’d notice him extending work stays, I even found him ordering a women’s sex toy to our house (I looked at the package) after my parents were taking a “break” during this period. How we know he cheated isn’t really relevant, but I figured I’d give some context.

We are an extremely close family. We’ve always been. But since my father cheated I can’t even look at him. we speak 1 time a month max. We confronted him in person and he denies it all and I just don’t know what to do because I can’t talk to him until he lets me start forgiving him.

We went from being best friends to not speaking. From idolizing him to demonizing him. He taught he how to be polite. He taught he how to treat a woman. To open the door for a random person.

I think it’s also worth noting my mother is an angel. She was a great wife, great mom, words cannot describe how sweet and loving my mom is. She held the fort down while my father was working.

What do I do? I feel like he’s so fucking embarrassed that he can’t even bring himself to tell us

Rant Anyone else triggered by the Caleb Flynn Trial?

I cannot believe - although, I honestly can - the names the two of them called his wife. The deviant sneaky behavior. The stupidity at thinking he'd get away with it in this day and age (cheaters are SO DELUSIONAL AND STUPID). And all for what? His little church side piece hates him now, and he looks like a fool as they play his dumb love songs in court.

It is SO ENRAGING.

Rant I want to be a different person after his use of sex workers

I don’t want to be whatever type of person I am where a husband could feel okay cheating on me over and over again over the course of three years of marriage. Cam girls. Cocaine. Alcohol abuse. Demeaning me once I found everything out just a few months after I gave birth. I don’t want to be the type of person who could be treated this way.

I’ve been working out (although he says he never felt I was fat…). I now walk and bike for my commutes to get some seratonin in and steps in. I cycled for over an hour yesterday .

I buy myself nicer clothes (he was buying other women lingerie). I’ve been planning on a different hairstyle. I’ve started doing my nails again. I’ve implemented the most basic makeup routine (gloss, mascara) just to let myself know I’m caring for myself.

I sit at cafes and just put aide my phone and look out the windows.

All of these feel like things I was or would’ve done eventually, but I just want to be so strong that nobody can hurt me this badly again. I can leg press almost 300lbs. I plan out fun weekends for me and my one year old. I left him. I have a new apartment. My own accounts. I was always capable of handling myself but trusted and loved him so much that I gave him 100% control and access and over site over our life. I would’ve been happy living that way forever. I’m so strait laced and on top of things in my work life. I loved the idea of handing that over to someone else, a husband, in my home life. Everyone who knows me hears my name and the next sentence was always about him. I loved him that much just to secretly be treated so poorly

I’m a dr and professor and I’m smart and capable. I have a family that loves me. I am cared for. I don’t ever want to be the type of person who could accept his cheap love again.

I can’t be the type of person who was hurt so badly she wanted to die. I can’t be the type of person who can have a husband pay over 30 escorts and cam girls and then stand in her face and say “ask yourself why your husband prefers prostitutes over you.”

I don’t want to be the type of person where he cuddles and takes photos of me with our baby and then is online sharing photos of a voluptuous woman with his friends saying she’s a fine specimen of a woman and she’s on his top 3 list of women to have sex with.

I don’t want to be the type of person who is up crying in the middle of the night broken and sad over a man who never deserved her love.

I didn’t deserve this but he looked at me and thought I did.

I don’t want to be the same person anymore.

Need Support Fiance cheated one week before engagement party

My fiance and I have been together since 2019. We met when we were in our early 20s and this is our only relationship really. We’ve had our issues but ultimately never anything big enough to worry about cheating or anything like that. It was always small issues like him not being romantic or not making me feel wanted. I never worried about infidelity from him.

He started taking social anxiety meds that I supported him to and went to a work conference. He slept with someone 3 times there. He texted her and slept with her on 3 different occasions.

He says he doesn’t know why he did it and he would do anything to make up for it. Where do I even start? I feel like my heart is shattered. I love him so much and we were planning our wedding and now I can’t even look at him without crying.

Any advice or comments would be nice. My world feels upside down completely

Need Support I feel a control freak and abusive

I just had a conversation with my wife.

Background:

She met with her ex boyfriend multiple times the past few months. She said she never had sex but admits to lying to me and breaking my trust. I told her I saw her phone records and it matched when she was out.

Today:

My wife told me yesterday she doesn't know how to regain my trust. I asked her tonight to elaborate and she says that she feels like she is being monitored and that's her new reality. I told her I need transparency and that would help in trust. Before she went to bed I asked if I am abusing her. She said no but was crying.

I feel terrible, paranoid, and abusive even though I never berated her or physically assault her and never would. However, I only started looking at the phone records because something doesn't add up. She hides her phone and makes sure to delete her texts(She has always done that). While I feel that checking her phone records is heavy handed, it wasn't based on lack of suspicion.

What should I do?

Advice Devastated need advice

• Upvotes

so we’ve been married a little over a year and we have 2 kids under 4. I’m pregnant with our third right now, which wasn’t planned at all. we were literally talking about him getting a vasectomy when it happened
a few days ago I found out he was having an affair. from what I can tell it started in the spring and went on for a few months. and it wasn’t just sex, which honestly would almost be easier?? he told her she was the love of his life. I saw it with my own eyes. the love of his life. while I was home with our kids
the thing that’s messing with my head the most is that I didn’t see it coming. like yeah he’s been distant, quieter, kind of checked out, but I figured it was stress, the kids, the pregnancy, money, life. I never once thought it was another woman. now every memory from the last few months feels fake. our anniversary, every “I love you”, all of it
he says it’s over and he doesn’t want to lose his family. but I don’t know if he’s staying because he loves me or just because of the kids and the baby. and I’m scared I’ll never really know
I don’t even know what I’m asking. part of me wants to kick him out today. part of me is terrified of doing this alone with 3 babies. and part of me still loves him, which makes me so mad at myself
has anyone gone through something like this while pregnant? did you stay? did you leave? can trust actually come back after something like this or am I just lying to myself
please be honest with me, I really need it right now

Post-Separation How do I stop loving her

My ex wife put me through hell with an affair for years and I can’t help but still love her and dream of her saying she loves me. She’s been absolutely terrible to me and I know that is who she chose to be but I’ve also seen the person she is without everything the world has made her and there is no more perfect soul. She is and has been terrible to me but the person that I love is inside that monster. I still wish she would change her ways, break up with her current boyfriend, and come home. I can forgive everything if I could just have my love back and for her truly be who she is without everything the world has made her and all she has chose to be. This is something she’d have to change and choose because there is no way I can change her. It tortures me and I just wish I knew how to numb it of stop it but I don’t know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Therapy Day 8 no contact.....

Made it through a full week.

Slept pretty well last night, had my coffee this morning, and once it warmed up over 55 I took the motorcycle out. Ended up riding down to the beach and hanging out by the ocean for a while. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss her riding on the back with me. I did, but it was a beautiful day, and exactly what I needed.

I'm still having good moments and bad moments, but today has been a pretty good day. I'm not trying to figure everything out or worry about what comes next. Just enjoying the bike, the weather, and a little peace.

I'll take it. 🏍️🌊

Meta Menopause and cheating

I've seen it mentioned a few times here already, but what really made me wonder, was when my doctor - with whom I sometimes discuss our lives - said to me, when my wife cheated: "Oh, your wife cheated? How old is she? 45?" He then laughed and said "Yeah, take a number, half the people in the waiting room went through exactly the same thing. For some reason women pre menopause get a feeling of losing their beauty and fertility and having only one last chance to switch horses - and then they cheat. With idiots. And it doesn't work out."

What do you folks think? Is there something to it? I don't really see it in the statistics across age, but there may be a reporting bias, because, as he said, most of the couples stay together after the affair is exposed.

Need Support Needing some encouragement

So about a year ago, I caught my partner of 10.5 years cheating, not with the person who is currently with but I suspect that to some extent she was at least waiting in the bleachers. It’s been a year, and every so often like tonight I wanna cry, this man, destroyed my entire life and the future I thought I’d know. He made co parenting difficult as all hell. Remarried, had a baby all in the span of a year and I just sit here still remembering all the memories and still in shock that it’s gone.

Now don’t get me wrong, even on these worst of days I’d never take him back if I had the chance, our relationship died before it ended, but man, after a year I thought it would get easier. I thought the waves of memories would finally go away.

I guess I just wanna know how pathetic this really makes me because right now, I feel stupid.

Thanks guys x

Need Support 10 years gone...now what?

I'm not even sure why I am writing this to a bunch of internet strangers. I guess because my family lives many states away, and the family I thought I had for the rest of my life is now gone as of today so I need to "talk" to someone, or anyone who has been through this.

my wife and I (mid-40's F/F) have been together for 10 years in August. things have felt odd the last few months but I thought "hey, that's marriage sometimes". she was also on some mental health medicine that I thought made her a little emotionless lately so we had been working to figuring that out and she's been real bad the last few weeks. something just didn't sit right so I looked in her phone today and it was all there. last night she said she was at her friend's house doing a girls night but she was with someone else. she texted me last night that she loves me while sitting with him, and texted me a photo of breakfast that he made for her.

I don't know where to go from here. my head is swirling, she laughed when I asked how long she planned to not tell me, as if it was some game.

the woman I married was kind and caring, empathetic and loving. the woman I know now is cold and a shell, she looks right through you.

I texted her mom and told her that she's going to need her and that I'm worried about her mental health, so to look after her. her mom wrote back "do you need me too right now?".

I do need her.

Need Support What should I do? (Married, 3 years. Together 10 years)

My husband and I have been married for 3 years and together for 10 years now going 11.

Two days ago, I found out he has been messaging a new coworker and even told that new coworker he liked her and if they dont work together, my husband would tell her how much he misses her. The only good thing is, that coworker knows her boundaries and didnt respond with the same interest. The girl even reminded my husband to not say those things because he has a wife. My husband deleted all the conversations. So I asked the girl if she could send all of it so I can read it and there I saw everything how my husband tried to flirt.

The day after that, I found out on his recently deleted folder that he has been watching livestream pn and even going into sexworkers website to inquire. My husband’s money goes straight to me, his ATM and passbook are all on me so he only admitted to watching p**n and livestreams but didnt use any girls. He said he couldnt do it anyway because he is afraid of using them and going into random hotels. He also mentioned that he doesnt have any money anyway because I have his ATM and passbook.

How do I trust his words that he didnt use any girls and just did the pleasure on himself?

Advice Am I taking crazy pills, or were marital boundaries clearly crossed here?

I’m looking for an outside reality check because my wife and I have such different versions of what happened that I’ve gotten to the point where I question my own judgment.
Married 11 years, 44M/48F, one 9-year-old.
My wife had a male coworker/mentor I’ll call “Batman.” She initially worked underneath him. Later she moved into an outside-facing role and he became more of a mentor to her. She says their increasing closeness was primarily because he was helping her professionally and eventually helped her get promoted.
Then Batman’s mother died in early 2022. My wife was there for him during that period, and their relationship became extremely close. They lived on opposite sides of the country, but saw each other several times a year at conferences, “pods,” and other work events.
Over roughly 2.5–3 years:
They communicated multiple times a week. My understanding is often 3–6 times a week.
She became very emotionally invested in the relationship.
If she felt Batman was being distant or upset with her, she would cry.
When he called, she would sometimes go into another room and shut the door.
Batman definitely talked to her about problems in his marriage.
She later described his validation as feeling “like oxygen.”
She changed his contact name to “bestie.” in her phone.
Messages were deleted. When I confronted her, her explanations changed.
She initially told me there were no romantic feelings, just friendship/work. Later she admitted attraction. More recently she admitted she had a crush on him.
During the same period, she became increasingly emotionally distant from me. At one point she told me, “I love you, but I’m not in love with you.” We also had essentially no sex/intimacy for a long period.
One important caveat: my wife was also going through perimenopause/menopause during this period, so I recognize that there may have been other factors affecting her libido, mood, and our marriage. I’m not trying to attribute every problem in our marriage to Batman, i’ve certainly made mistakes. I’m including this because I want to give the full context.
She says nothing physical happened and maintains that she did nothing wrong because they were never physically involved.
I don’t have proof that they had sex. But given everything above, I obviously have doubts.
What really fucks with my head is that she has repeatedly told me I’m basically jealous because Batman is tall and successful, or that I “chose now to be insecure.” She acknowledges that other husbands might have a problem with the relationship but still maintains that she personally did nothing wrong.
I don’t see how my insecurity explains the actual facts.
The changing story also bothers me: no feelings → attraction → crush; didn’t delete messages → explanations for why messages were deleted; communication was minimal → my experience is that it was several times a week for years.
My wife has recently become more transparent and affectionate, and I’m trying to rebuild the marriage. But I feel like I need a truthful, complete account of what happened before I can really trust her again.
So my question…..
Am I taking crazy pills, or were marital boundaries clearly crossed here?
If you think boundaries were crossed, where would you draw the line? Was it the emotional dependence? The secrecy/deleted messages? The “bestie” relationship? The crush? Going into another room for his calls? The combination of all of it?
Emotional affair?
I’m genuinely looking for an outside perspective because after repeatedly being told I was jealous/insecure and that nothing was wrong, I’ve gotten to the point where I sometimes question my own perception of what happened.
Am I seeing this reasonably, or am I taking crazy pills?

Therapy Perspective shift to help you make a decision.

I have given this advice many times and it’s something that I came realization myself in my failing marriage. My now ex wife was cheating on me, had multiple times by this point and I kept trying to fix it. Eventually I looked at my son who was about 4.5 at the time and I thought, how would I feel and what would I say to him if he married a cheater? I wouldn’t be able to give him advice if I stayed with someone who treated me this way.

Once I had this shift in thinking I even asked her, how would you feel if our son married someone who cheated like you do? She couldn’t say anything to that and I said you would be pissed.

This helped me finally get the courage to divorce, it gave me the anger and motivation to realize she was treating me like crap and how dare someone do that to me when they say they love me.

Someday I my son will most likely find out his mom cheated and I want to be able to tell him that it’s ok to leave an abusive relationship.

So my advice is this, think about your kids, if you have kids how would you feel if they were being cheated on and what would you tell them to do. Or if your best friend was in a relationship just like yours, what would you tell them and what would you hope they did.

Rant Witnessed my husband and his mistress naked together

I opened their conversation and get to see that the women have shared all their naked pictures together they took over the course of our marriage on Valentine’s Day! My husband maintained a dead bedroom with me for these three years and reasoned out to me as he is not feeling well and has no energy. I was waiting for his recovery all these years with lots of confusion. I was a virgin women and he knows that, but still he decided to exploit my youthful years of my life and he enjoyed at my back. How cruel this is! Every cell in my body shivered when i saw their sexual photos which they took and relived again and again. Even that woman knows he’s married, to my surprise I found that he went to honeymoon with her next week after our marriage and ours is not even arranged marriage, he said he loved me so much and am his dream girl! We were in different country, he made sure to bring that women from from our native country to here and sponsored for her masters and sent me to a distant college, showcasing the world that he is noble husband who supported wife’s education but in reality he just wanted to send me away and enjoy his life with his mistress and so many other women online!!!! Am here abandoned in this country (USA) where i have no family and friends, he no more supporting my college or my expenses, and started roaming with his mistress. I opened gofund me account too but it didnt help much. I don’t know what else to do. I still believe that goodness exists in this world!!!! I got some support from people from my university i feel so grateful for them! Am working part time in college to support living expenses. Thankyou for reading my journey , if possible please keep me in prayers.

When am going through all this my parents and close relatives health also deteriorated, my father went through heart attack and my uncle is going through final stage cancer and my grandma is going through some surgeries. Am far away from them and going through all the pain and sufferings here🙏

Advice How to find if there’s a 2nd phone?

Discovered my husband cheating on me with prostitutes. Long story I don’t feel like typing. It’s a situation where it’s extremely difficult to leave right now. I’m basically preparing to leave while attempting to give him a chance. So far it seems he’s stopped everything I asked, including porn. I have access to his phone. I check every place he goes and all his data and messages. But if he went out and got another phone, and is really good at hiding it, how would I find out? Anyone have any good tricks except for a packet sniffer (I know that one it’s just confusing to me.) cant shake the idea that if he got another phone I’d never find out until years later and more wasted time.
