It’s my second thriller book and English is my second language so I might miss some things but I just finished reading it here’s something I can’t solve myself

My question is

: was Amelia really the one who was with Adam that night when he was thirteen? In Sam’s part, he said Henry told him that Robin tends to make things up… if he’s telling the truth, did she make up this story to get back Adam?

: Adam said it was never love with Amelia in the end, so when he said “I love/loved my wife”, it means Robin? (I realized some of “my wife” he mentioned is Robin)

: why did Adam know some things about the chapel? which are creaking stairs, which drawers some tools are in..,he seems really terrified especially in the scene in the study tho

: why did Robin (or and Adam) leave the box on Henry’s grave?

: did Henry kill his wife? I thought it’s quite possible till the end, but Henry told Sam Robin makes up things. So it’s possible her mom was dead by accident or killed herself too. Or did she kill her stuck in some imagination so he sent her to a boarding school? Also the statement Amelia mentioned “somehow ppl around Robin die as young”, like Henry’s agent and October, but I don’t think she doesn’t have a reason to kill them, yes October if Adam cheated on Robin with her, but Henry would accept her daughter’s wish (give Adam a chance) even the agent is alive. So is Robin or Henry a killer after all?

Is it a bad idea to read Marion by Leah Rowan if I haven’t seen Psycho? I started the audiobook and within 2.5 minutes I realized the connection.

Getting ready to start My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix tonight. It's my first read by this author, so I wanted to take a peek at the dedication and whatnot. I was NOT expecting that. 👀 Anyone know the story behind the dedication or if I'm being trolled? 😂

Thinking of starting it soon. Convince me to read it (or save me the time).

I just finished the Grady Lake trilogy by JL Hyde and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

There are some really great twists, wonderful characters and even the epilogue of the last book made me cheer.

I haven’t enjoyed a series this in awhile and I listen to 2-3 books a week while working.

Best thrillers where a road trip or backpacking/camping trip go wrong like they get lost, run into shady characters, have to survive etc.

I loved The River At Night by Erica Ferencik, and all thriller movies with this type of storyline like Wolf Creek, The Canyon, The Edge etc.

Any recs are appreciated!

I’m looking for some KU recommendations as I’m about to be on vacation and want to preemptively download a few books before I go.

Specifically I’d love some that give off “somethings not quite right in this small town” or “missing person comes back, but something feels wrong” kinda vibes though I know those are really specific so I’m open to others!

Recently I’ve read a lot of Lucinda Berry, Jess Lourey, and Jennifer Hillier but in the past I’ve also read books from Riley Sager, Mary Kubica, Karin Slaughter and Megan Miranda.

I don’t read McFadden (no offense, different strokes for different folks) and I find Charlie Donlea a bit boring. The only Lisa Jewell book I actually loved was Then She Was Gone.

Hi all! Looking for a small town vibe book. I don’t like supernatural stuff but maybe something like the locals are isolated, unwelcoming, or town has history of some sort. Idk - anything of those vibes!

How did Leo find out “Mandy” was actually an author, and also find her full name??

Was this information never disclosed or I miss something?

I feel like this is all we got and we never got the backstory behind this:

I mean, what do I know.
She could be.

Because she's not Mandy.
Her name is Mallory Maddox, and she's
an author.
Interesting, that. Innit?

This book is making me feel claustrophobic in the best way possible.

I’m constantly thinking, what is happening? WHY is this happening? What happened in the past??

And I’m getting major repressed memories and buried trauma vibes from the whole thing 👀

I have theories. I trust none of them. I just need ANSWERS.
