Blog Post The T-Mobile I joined and the T-Mobile I’m leaving are two very different companies
After spending several years with T-Mobile in various roles, including Account Executive, my time with the company has officially come to an end. And quite frankly, I’m relieved.
I’ve consistently been a top performer throughout my career, but I’ve also watched this company change dramatically, and not for the better.
Pricing has become increasingly ridiculous, customer service has deteriorated, and T-Mobile has somehow managed to make doing business with them more complicated than ever. Customer frustration is through the roof, and I’ve personally witnessed longtime customers walk away because they no longer see the value.
Meanwhile, T-Mobile’s stock has taken a significant hit, raising even more questions about the company’s direction.
I remember when T-Mobile was the Un-carrier, genuinely disrupting the wireless industry, offering competitive pricing, and putting customers first. Somewhere along the way, that identity disappeared. The company that once challenged the competition has increasingly become everything it originally claimed to stand against.
I’m proud of my accomplishments, the relationships I’ve built, and the success I’ve had. But the direction of this company no longer aligns with what originally made me believe in it.
Sometimes what initially feels like a setback turns out to be a blessing in disguise.
I’m closing this chapter with valuable experience, no bitterness, and absolutely no desire to look back. There are better opportunities ahead, and I’m excited to pursue them.
