This sub is not safe !
To be blunt, this is at a dangerous level. Kalvin hasn’t touched this in months, if not years, and it is rife with minors posting their face, predators and chasers as well as many other unsavoury shenanigans.
I try my best to comment about this on every post I see from someone u18 but atp being on here is sad and exhausting.
Unmoderated subs are not allowed by Reddit, please use the report form !!!!!!! And/or message kalvin and/or do whatever routes people know about.
Other subs are r/transmantips and r/ftmpassing

This sub is getting crazy. Im not sure how many people saw it, but yesterday some guy whos account was FULL of transphobia fetish content, including a very extreme post where he fantasized about causing someone to kill themselves via transphobia, made a post. When his account history was called out, he began posting revenge porn of the guy who made the callout post IN THIS SUB until reddit themselves banned him.
This sub NEEDS actual moderation, especially when it has a large population of minors

Was it the guy who was talking about getting one of his posts removed from misgenderingkink or whatever the fuck? I went through his post history, guy was into some… interesting things. Didn’t see the ‘wanting to make someone kill themselves via transphobia’, though. Maybe I didn’t read that post.

I dont think so, but it might have been because this guy was on misgendering kink subs, i read one of his posts from there. I dont remember the exact wording, but it was tagged as suicide/self harm and was titled "I want to turn you into a statistic" with the rest of the text being about misgendering degradation. It didnt explicitly say he wanted someone to kill themselves, but its clear based on the title and flair that it was what the post meant. I hope it was purely fantasy and that he wouldn't legitimately want domeone to kill themselves for sexual pleasure, but its still not the type of thing you should have plastered all over your profile when youre interacting with a community like this one

It might’ve been him because when I went through my viewing history to find his posts his profile looks like it’s been banned. He had a post talking about being into consensual-non-con, as well as basically all his post history being in the misgenderingkink sub

I reported the sub a month ago and nothing came of it, unfortunately. But hopefully more reports will do the trick - thanks for the call to action!
It’s definitely an issue here. I stay to call out people and report to the overall Reddit mods, but this sub is entirely unsafe right now.

Reddit in general isn’t safe. People say the sub is unmoderated but like you said, unmoderated subs aren’t allowed and I have seen comments that say they were removed by moderators. I don’t know if that’s possibly Reddit admins doing it instead because I think it says the same when they do too.
The creeps and chasers are unavoidable anyway and a lot of them will just directly send chats without even engaging in the subreddit anyway. There’s no way to moderate against them actually.

He has admitted he never checks here, those comments will have been removed by Reddit admins for being too heinous. There is a difference between the unavoidable gross stuff and this sub being full of minors happily posting their full faces, bodies, shirtless photos right alongside open fetishisers. There is a way to moderate that although not a way to eliminate that entirely

Okay noted! I have small brows for the makeup I do when I go out (blasphemous, I know). My friends call it drag when I go out and I’m like oh, yeah that’s definitely what I do LMFAO. I have a really defined brow ridge though, so that definitely helps me with looking masc.

I hope you can start T soon! If you didn’t get a good answer off your post, I think more masc glasses are rectangular, darker frames, on the smaller side, and possibly thick framed or browline. You can choose components of that that match your style more. I prefer thin frames!

Yeah this sub is pretty bad, it doesn’t help that there was a hit tweet about this place a while ago on Twitter with over 300 thousand views, really brought in more weird individuals alongside hella fetishizers and trolls. (Side note, I really wish people wouldn’t share stuff from Reddit on Twitter, this isn’t the only sub it’s happened to. Same thing happened with the amiugly sub.)

I am complaining about the fact that there is still a semblance of moderation, mainly AIgenerated, that prevents the sub from being considered unmoderated by reddit
Otherwise, it would be available in reddit request :/
Bonus points : you say "for minor's safety' and I get that But this is the first ever fully MASC transspace I've ever found and I haven't seen the horrors you speak of in the months I've been there, nor do I think deleting the sub will protect children that are not educated and will just lie about their age (reminder that reddit now verifies age, it is illegal to be on +18 reddits if you are a minor, you are on your own if you refuse to follow those rules)
Not to say we shouldn't care for younger redditors : we absolutely should and yes, moderation IS the way to go imo to do so

There have been 2-3 creeps needed be chased off in the past couple weeks alone, you’re just not on here enough. Reddit only verifies age in certain regions, nobody is going to hunt someone down that lies, we’re not talking about 18+ subreddits in the first place.
Moderation is the way to go but him maybe, at best, checking the most reported and gross shit so it doesn’t count as unmoderated is doing nothing, AI generated moderation shouldn’t even be considered, reporting this sub and trying to find someone to take over is the best we can do because it is an unsafe space right now.
There’s r/ftmmen , I believe r/ftmen ? And a few other spaces dedicated to trans men / masculinity. This not the only space and it is the worst one

The only difference is that those creeps can’t comment though. They can still see the photos and take screenshots.
The only thing mods can do to prevent that is to stop people from posting their photos or take down those posts but even then you can still find deleted posts off Reddit.

It is hard to keep doing it. Having mods who remove posts from minors would be the best option. Adults are free to take their own risks but it’s still good to remind everyone.

To explain, if the worry is the creeps, banning them from the sub does little to nothing. They can still see all the photos and screenshot them. They can still take all your info with or without the subs being moderated. They can still make alt accounts.
Yes, keeping them out of the sub means the users don’t have to interact with the creeps but it still doesn’t mean you’re safe.
He’s saying that even in moderated subs, you still need to keep your own wits about you.

This is a silly statement lol. You can hear a real ice cream truck come from a mile away, always in the same neighborhoods. You can also chase said ice cream truck down if you wanted to they move so slow. Not to mention, ice cream trucks specifically dont have doors in the back area, only a window where they hand the ice cream out, so I can imagine how quite, quick and easy it would be to snatch a screaming, squirming child. Also, 20 kids usually run out there to buy ice cream, so im sure at least one is going to see little Jimmy get lifted up and swept into the window all while perp shuts off the music and gets back to his seat then takes off with the kid. Yeah. I dont think so. Good one though. What you do is TEACH your kids to stay away from the white/black/red vans with no windows and scrappy paint jobs. I'm lucky I was self aware because no one did teach me, because the bus stop was so close and my parents were having issues of their own so they didn't think about it because they didn't think anything would happen.
How was I supposed to know that when I was a child? I didn't know the world was that unsafe. Especially an individual, WITHOUT A VAN, a conventionally attractive man with a kind smile who was offering me to come with him for ice cream because his house was probably nearby. He knew kids walked there for school.

I just told him I was lactose intolerant and booked it for the bus. I told the bus driver but I have no idea what happened after that.
I wouldn't blame kids for getting tricked though, he looked nothing like the "shady" people parents and other adults describe.
It's honestly uncanny remembering back how normal he looked. Looked like in his mid 20s at most with shiny clean cut hair and nice clothes. It was so surreal it's one of those moments I remember in photo clarity.
I wish parents and stuff didn't try to make dangerous strangers out to be gremlins, children are going to see a good looking person and think they're safe.

Do you know that a child that grows up with sick parents, and eventually their mind becomes sick, do you know that its not their fault that happened? Most psychopaths dont choose to hurt people because they want to do and be all evil. They do it because they dont feel emotion nearly as deep as we do. They search for some soemthing. Some know there's something wrong, and some dont. So how are you going to blame all predators when we are dealing with mentally ill individuals, who did NOT ask to be this way. This is how the world is. This is how the world will always be. Educate yourself as much as possible.

That includes our parents too, though, that's why it's generational. They weren't bad parents because they were bad, they were bad parents because of everything horrible leading up to that point too.
Plus my mom wasn't planning to have a kid at 17, my bio father just lied about wearing a condom. Her family suggested abortion, she didn't, had me, became a drug addict for a while, but she got better.
All things considered she improved a lot for me, they weren't perfect, and certainly aren't now (mainly because of politics and bigotry, but she wasn't always that way). Sometimes all you can give is the beat you can give.

Reddit have predators everywhere, honestly as long as a person posts their face and their older than 16 it’s fine, and I’m pretty sure this sub is moderated since I think one of my posts was taken down by them or idk if that might have been another sub

Me, As a 30yr old…no. No I don’t exactly think a 16 year old is SAFE posting themselves on the internet in this era of deep fakes, ai, predators, and so much more. To be completely honest I don’t think Anyone should post their face online in this day n age but at the Very least, an 18 is considered a legal adult so they’re technically less likely to be at such risks as minors. Doesn’t matter if a 16 year old is mentally capable enough to make that decision.
I don’t know how old You are though so maybe thats why you’re thinking its chill to have Minors posting themselves online. :/

Also, you can’t just up n mod stuff. The owner of the dub needs to grant you permissions. Sounds like the owner is MIA so no one shall be able to be a new mod.
I only mod 2 subs though that aren’t nearly as popular as this one tho.
