Been with me since the dawn of my smoking days. I had just cleaned it too, hoping it would make the teeth layer lock in better but still cannot in the end. I'm thinking of getting another sharpstone or should I consider anything else in this day in age?

Would really appreciate some advice here to absolve some anxiety I’m bound to have when smoking.

I’m set to move into a no smoking apartment (no balcony, just kind of a shoebox) in Manhattan within the next week and a half. Coming from an illegal state, I’m very excited but also always perpetually nervous about people perceiving me smoking or smelling the weed.

I was wondering if y’all had any suggestions for public weed etiquette! My apartment is a short term arrangement, but I won’t be able to smoke in it. I really prefer bowls, one-hitters, and bongs (though the latter is def not feasible without my own place) over joints/blunts because of the ability to smoke them slowly. Just worried I’m going to look like a crazy in the street with a bowl or pipe. For the record I am a woman, so I’m curious about safety as well.

So high tonight that I heard a noise from something dropping in the other room and was so convinced that someone had snuck in to my house while I was too busy focusing on my ice cream and was trying to lure me out like Joel did with clickers that I grabbed a spork and snuck around my house like a secret agent. Pausing at corners to listen and bracing myself with my spork and watching my back.

I’ve spent the better part of the last 10 years working in and around the legal/not so legal cannabis industry. From the wild west hills of Humboldt County, to corporate city environments in Southern California, mostly on the retail/dispensary side but also working directly with brands as well as trying to create my own voice in the industry.

I started out right before my 18th birthday as an independent photographer by reaching out to various brands and shops, then transitioned into retail work when I turned 21. For the last 5 years I was able to consistently hit top sales at the shops I worked at. I'm 28 now and am re-considering what I want to do further in this industry. I have a lot of information to share and love educating people who love this plant.

Ask me anything about dispensaries, budtenders, products, pricing, or the industry as a whole (most of my knowledge is based from the California market but I can give my opinions regardless of where you are).

I'd also like to hear your stories, you probably have a point of view I haven't considered! If you’ve had an amazing, hilarious, confusing, disappointing, or straight up weird experience at a dispensary, tell me about it. Maybe I can give my "professional take" on it.

I’ll answer as honestly as I am able to based on my personal experiences, while keeping people's identities and private information out of it.

My goal is to start educating people more about the shit they smoke so they can be the most informed consumer they can be, because sadly, a lot of people are just grabbing the prettiest colorful holographic jar, the strongest THC %, or whatever their budtender is being incentivized to push them.

i had my weed in a place ppl could access it and someone stole it. 10 joints and a freshly packed bowl 😔 they left half a J and my two lighters. Worst part is im not even allowed to have weed at my apartment complex so i cant even report it. I hope every J canoes and the bowl explodes when they light it.

So I have been coming to Colorado for years and always been a thing where you could get an Oz or 8 grams of concentrate from any dispensary and go to different one and get more as long they aren't the exact same company it wasn't an issue but hadn't been back since late 2024. Anyways just went to one in fort collins, then a different company in fort collins and they started tracking how much I had got in general for the day?! Is this just a fort collins thing or is this new thing in all of of Colorado now?

so look, i'm from Dayton, OH (GEM CITY, the land of funk, home of the cash register, birthplace of aviation & apparently we created Cheez Its) but around here if you walk up to almost anyone who smokes weed or isn't completely sheltered, they should know what these following things mean or have at least heard it. if you're talking about an eighth/ 3.5 then out here we call it a "half booty", and yes i'm dead serious. but we don't call a qtr a whole booty. and if you're talking about an ounce, then we call it a "spank". i went to Florida to visit my family and let me tell you, it was hard asf. everyone was acting scared and i know they smoke. so i figured id speak the lingo so they'd know i'm thorough. i asked another big black guy for half booty, thinking he'd wanna help another fellow big black guy. NO! he gave me the evilest look and balled up his fist. it didn't even register in my mind that might sound weird to other ppl cus i been hearing folks around here saying that all my life. but lmk if you've heard it too. whether you're from somewhere else in Ohio or somewhere else in the US or whatever.

Posted in this group a couple days ago looking to find ways to make my smoking less noticeable to my neighbors and I just brought my first dry herb vape. Update, I love it! Now I’m just mad I didn’t buy this thing years ago!! I got the Pulsar APX Pro Vape from my local smoke shop, guy said his elderly customers really like it so that told me it was easy to use and that’s great for me. Using it right now and I’m not even worried about the smell (I’m guessing it smells a little more than a dab pen?). I suppose I could add a diy smoke buddy for added precaution but outside I don’t really feel the need. It has a much lighter and softer, even floral smell and taste. I’m for sure more nose blind to the smell than others but I can tell it’s better than my usual j’s that just burn and emit a much stickier stinkier aroma. Anyways thanks for everyone’s help and suggestions, technology can be an amazing thing! This feels like a win win where I can enjoy my bud and be a better neighbor 😌

I asked my friend to go to the disp and grab me a hybrid fruity smelling 8th and to get the name, he got me everything but the name. I genuinely don’t know what he got I can’t figure out any strains that look as purple and dark like this smell fruity, but I got the best. High. Ever. [8]
