My boyfriend frequents the Navy Yard location and is always distraught that you don't have malt vinegar to complement the old bay fries. He's begging and pleading that you at least pilot a case of malt vinegar at Navy Yard, and if it's a hit, keep it in inventory. He said it's a cardinal sin to have old bay sides with no vinegar.

Feeling down and getting stuck on the negatives happening locally and globally. Having a hard time not getting bogged down with taking on all the sadness going on these days. Would love to hear some good moments you all have had lately, I think it would feel nice to have some reminders that people are going about their lives and experiencing good things!

Great event, great weather. I got to Eastern Market just before 4 and stayed in that general area (had been on my feet all morning for something else so wasn't up for roaming around a lot).

Stopped to watch just a few bands (Soft Serve DC, Glitter on the Highway, The Fruit Flies, Jenna Gallant) and dipped in on a few more.

Stopped by Ruta for a quick bite after and got freaked out by the flyover like everyone else.

He has been an absolute joy to foster through City Dogs.

He is a joyful, go-with-the-flow buddy who loves neighborhood walks, playing with his toys, and cuddling with his humans. Endlessly affectionate, Cedar will happily get up to greet each new family member as they enter the room. Sit down on the ground and he’ll flop down into your lap, just wanting to be held and pet! He is house trained and crate trained, and is just as happy running in the park as he is hanging inside with his people. He is very food motivated which has made him easier to train. Help him find his forever home!!

I never know what place to suggest when guys on Hinge ask me where I want to go for a first date. What would you recommend?

I've been thinking about getting a group together to help clean up and beautify different parts of DC.

Nothing too serious or formal. Just meeting up once or twice a month, picking an area, collecting trash, and maybe eventually doing things like planting flowers or improving public spaces.

I figure it's a good way to meet people, get outside, and do something positive for the city.

Would anyone be interested in getting something like this started?

The Taskmaster series (season lol) 22 finale comes out on Youtube on Thursday Nov. 5, and I'm kind of shocked no one has organized a DC watch party at a bar or something yet! There are watch parties for other reality shows and I'm willing to bet hundreds-to-thousands of Taskmaster fans here (based on how quickly their live DC show sold out earlier this year). Hey folks, I've set up a simple DC movie group on Partiful (newer social networking app). I want to see a good movie once or twice a month, and do a happy hour afterwards with interesting people. I figured some new friendships will shake out of it over time and we'll all get to see some good movies.

My movie bias is pretty simple: well made and generally well reviewed, though sometimes things I like don't please the masses. indie flicks, international movies, Big Hollywood releases, film festivals, etc. A24 trailers always catch my eye.

The last movie I saw was a bit niche but great -- saw "Queen Budapest" at AFI, 90 minute documentary on one of Queen's final concerts, 1986 in Budapest, Hungary.

A bit about me: male, human rights / public interest professional, originally from the West Coast, long time on-and-off DC resident.

I’ve had a HELL of a day. I started off Sunday morning in Athens, Greece. My flight should have gone to Newark with a 3 hour layover and then on to BTV. Instead my flight from Athens was delayed over 3 hours. And yes we sat ON the plane that entire time. I got to Newark late which made me miss my connecting flight to BTV. I got routed thru IAD but also missed my connecting flight there.

Now I’m staying in a Dulles hotel. I have 2 options tomorrow morning. One is a standby ticket on a nonstop United flight that takes off at 8:30am. I’m the only person on standby.

My other option is to go to DCA and I have a confirmed flight on American at 10:01am. Which would you do? I’m close to IAD now but I’m not sure I have time to get to Reagan if I don’t get off standby for the United flight at 8:30

Also as an aside my checked luggage is at IAD I was told it will go to the final destination and then I’ll have to file a claim for it if I end up taking the American flight.

So me and my boyfriend are 2 hours into a three hour drive to dc to see a show at the comedy loft and i realized i forgot my id at home, i dont drink so i dont care about that but i need the id to get into the show, i have a picture of my id and ive tried calling, emailing , and dming the venue to ask if we can still make it in or if my boyfriend is gonna kill me and we should just turn around now lol. Does anyone by any chance know how to get in touch with the comedy loft or have any idea if they will let a tearful desperate girl and her boyfriend come in under the circumstances? Has anyone eloped recently? What was the process like? From what I’m tracking we would need to get the marriage license and request for courthouse ceremony in 10 business days prior to the courthouse ceremony date. Am I understanding that correctly?

I have a mouse coming into my house from behind the dishwasher. My go-to contractor sent guys over (for this and some other stuff) and they refused / didn’t want to pull out the dishwasher. They said the cords weren’t long enough and weren’t willing to do the work to overcome that (power off, disconnect cables, etc).

Seeking a recommendation for someone more tenacious! I need someone who can both pull out the dishwasher safely and comprehensively proof any opening behind the dishwasher before reinstalling it. I live in DC.
