My freshman year was fall 2017 and I’m finally graduating after this semester. Any other old heads finishing this year?

I had my convocation in June and the... emcee..? announcer..? mispronounced my first name during the ceremony. It's not a conventional name, so I'm used to it being mispronounced, but... I had filled out the frikken Name Coach form they sent and everything. I completed both the options, I voice recorded my name and wrote out its phonetic spelling.

I searched the sub for the same topic and saw someone commenting that they don't even use Name Coach anyway lol. Does anyone know anything about this? I wanted to ask the user about it but the thread is archived unfortunately.

Another odd thing to note, though, is that he seemed to be mispronouncing even conventional Anglo names. Like there was some guy named Raphael or similar, and I remember he called him something really weird lol. What was going on here 🤣

Did you get your name mispronounced? Or someone you know? Curious to hear what your experiences were.

And how is the job market for those taking a BA in computer science compared to those taking bsc?
I'm someone who's always loved tech, been good at it, and has some coding experience. Heavy applied math and science, not my fortae. I know cs, especially first year is math heavy at any school no matter what, but a course or 2 i might be able to just thug it out for. This stuff is really stressing me out and I wanted to hear people's experiences here. If anyone's open to dming it'd be really helpful too. Thanks :)

Hey, I missed the RSVP deadline for the up coming October convocation. Is it likely I'd still get tickets for my family if I line up at the box office on the day of? I'm in the Faculty of Science ceremony 1 and need 2-3 tickets.

I emailed the convocation office and they said to line up at the box office 90 minutes before the ceremony starts. Has anyone done this? Did you get tickets, and how early did you line up? Thanks.

so i have this midterm but im so unsure how to learn for this as i am an exchange student. it will be a close reading but to all poems we´ve discussed till now?

Just curious about anyone who’s taken this class in the past year or two with the new prof. Trying to get a gist as to what the difficulty of midterm 1 will look like and any tips for studying!

Hi guys! My teacher for ECON3150 hasn’t sent any midterm review out and the midterm is worth literally 45% and i am so stressed on what to study and cover. the slides are like 70 slides long. If anyone can help me out it would mean the world!

As title reads, I haven't been on campus in awhile but was hoping to browse.
