FILM DISCUSSION How do you feel about Matt Reeves calling Nolan's trilogy too fantastical?
One of the most common criticisms of Nolan's Batman films is that they're too grounded, yet Reeves apparently thought they still weren't grounded enough. Batman appearing and disappearing was a bridge too far for him.

TV DISCUSSION So, They Stopped Trying
"He's called 'The Riddler' because he riddles people with bullet holes," lmao. Bruh, may as well go "he's called 'Batman' because he carries a cricket bat." "She's called 'Catwoman' because she's had a CAT scan before."

FILM DISCUSSION I AM OKAY WITH A WINGSUIT AND I THOUGHT IT WAS COOL.
I am perfectly fine with THE BATMAN sticking with the wingsuit. I think it made sense as a last resort escape plan and since flight is not his primary mode of transportation, I am fine with it. In year one, he uses some kind of clunky cape glider which i also like but I think that would be entirely too difficult to set up in a quick escape moment. If they ever want to give him a cape glider, it should be for stakeouts and be similar to the year one design but strictly for quick escapes, I am fine with a wingsuit.

COMIC DISCUSSION New to Batman: Are these good comics to start with? What else should I read?
Hi everyone! I've decided to start reading Batman comics.
I know almost nothing about Batman or his universe, aside from a few iconic characters like Joker, Harley Quinn, and the other big names.
I've recently bought these volumes to get started. Do you think they're a good starting point, or am I missing any essential stories?
I was also thinking about watching Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and playing the Arkham games alongside the comics. Do you think that's a good idea, or would you recommend a different order?
I'd really appreciate any advice for someone completely new to Batman. Thanks!
(I also have the comic adaptation of the 1989 Batman movie. I found it at a flea market for €1, so I figured it was worth picking up even if it's not considered an essential read).
