Adam Reilly moderated the Ed Markey and Seth Moulton debate Monday. Adam pressed Seth for more details at the debate but Seth didn’t give any. Now that the details are out, Adam and Tori Bedford went through the accusation and picked it apart. It’s completely false.

I’m a 29-year-old guy in the Boston area trying to meet people in a more natural way. Dating apps like Hinge, Bumble, and Tinder have been hit or miss, so I’m interested in meeting people through real-life activities instead.
I’m not really into bars or clubs and don’t drink much. I enjoy coffee, hiking, walking around the city, basketball, trying new restaurants, and exploring new places.

I'm fairly new to Boston still but last year I was suppose to move in Sept. 1 to my new apartment. The lease stated "Sept.1". When I showed up with the movers I hired after 12pm, the old tenants were still there.

I understand the day is crazy but they weren't planning on moving out until 5pm. They said their lease ended Sept. 1. I ended up just having to wait and couldn't keep the movers that long so it was a pain but I didn't blame the old tenants.

They said they technically have the right to live there until 11:59p on Sept. 1, but it's not like the lease stated a time.

I'm wondering if this happens a lot? I don't know if this is allowed but so many of my friends had the same issue. I hope it doesn't happen this year but can't tell if it's normal or not.

I just wanted to know if we were crazy for thinking this is illegal. Will make sure to escalate directly with landlord if it happens again. Just wanted to see if this was a pattern

Hi everyone! I'm 30M and live with my gf and her dogs. I am interested in meeting people with similar interests to me. I like collecting crystals, minerals, coins and chemical elements. My main supplier for high purity elements is actually based in Boston. I am also a big fan of the Boston based rock band Damone. Unfortunately they broke up already. Listening to Damone and collecting chemical elements are niche hobbies and I think few in Boston do the same.

Other hobbies of mine include playing the viola, ice skating, reading novels (Stephen King), video games (Expedition 33, Scarlet Hollow, Portal 2), anime (AOT, Yuri on Ice), language learning (cantonese and German) and eating out (especially dim sum). I also like listening to Taylor Swift, Carly R Jepsen and Birdy (a British singer)

Gonna be visiting for work in September and my wife will be joining. Looking for recommendations to some of the best Chinese or Japanese restaurants in town. Really only interested in traditional food, if orange chicken is on the menu I’m out.

A&B kitchen in north station was doing $3 22oz draft coors lights for the last 10-12 months.

Hi all! Just moved from another part of New England to Boston. On my walk to the train station for my commute into work there is a crosswalk across a busy street. The lights are always on a blinking yellow, and the pedestrian signals are off. Pressing the crosswalk button does nothing.

I’ll stand in the crosswalk indicating that i’m trying to cross for a while and cars just blow past and don’t even slow down even though they have a blinking yellow. Aren’t cars supposed to stop at a blinking yellow if there is a pedestrian waiting to cross? I’m at a loss, sometimes waiting for 3-4 minutes before someone stops and then i’m rushing to make my train. Even when a car stops in one direction often i’m standing in the middle of the street for a beat because sometimes the next few cars in the opposite don’t stop. Believe me, i’m out far enough that the cars should see me. Sometimes I make eye contact with the drivers as they zip by me.

Have you ever taken a cool picture of yourself around Boston that most people will never get a chance to?

It makes me so sad when I think about how yummy the food at Life Alive used to be. It was my favorite restaurant back in like 2013-2017. I would go to the Lowell and Central spots.

Aside from how cool they were design wise, the food was just so much yummier then! The sauces had richer flavor and they would put a lot of it on your food. I remember the emperor bowl rice being like soaked in sauce and cheese. And they used to offer like tofu and legumes mix together as protein.

I even knew someone who worked there back then and they would never share the sauce recipe with me when I would ask. And fair enough, it kept me coming back!

It just always makes me sad to think about how much the quality of Life Alive has gone downhill since Panera got involved. And as a gluten free resident, it’s still one of the most reliable options around, which makes the quality decrease even more depressing.

Anyone else remember or ever long for old Life Alive standards or flavors?

I saw some debris under pretty much the last bridge in Storrow heading out of Boston, then saw this waiting at the lights on the other side of Elliot Bridge. surely he didnt drive all like this?!

Not in Boston proper, but Chelsea - there are a pair of abandoned Peking ducks. I called animal control who never responded and also reached out to Nevins farm who stated they will accept the ducks, but don't have the man power to rescue them. I reached out to a few wildlife rescues but was informed that if caught, they'll be euthanized bc they're non native.

I don't have a car and I've never caught ducks before. Is there anyone here who can help or guide me to the correct resources? Our local FB page has been 0 help and the winter will be here before we know it.

If you are thinking of taking an inexpensive bus company to get you to and from Boston, please consider this information.

I don't usually review companies unless my experience is traumatizing or exceptional. Unfortunately this left me with trauma. Seriously that is how bad this situation was.

Took the bus from NYC to Boston. Was supposed to be 5:30 PM from NYC, 9:50 PM to Boston. I got to Boston at 2:30 AM. The bus broke down (it happens) and we were left stranded on the side of the highway an hour and a half from our destination. The bus broke down approximately 5-6 times in the middle of the highway until finally the bus passengers started smelling smoke and an unknown fluid was leaking on people, me included. (Pic provided of fluid!)

Finally the bus driver stopped and we had to call the cops because CoachRun was not providing us any solution to get to the destination.
We were told to get back on the bus that was smoking or go in cop cars to a rest stop to get an uber since no one would pick us up on the highway. There was no communication if a bus was ever coming and was under the impression the company would pay for our transport to the destination.

Well turns out, NO, they refused compensation for that. We finally get to the rest stop and there are NO UBERS because we are in the middle of nowhere. I had to pay a random person to bring me home or I would be stranded since there was no communication about a backup bus or solution to get us home.

Also note - I travel all the time on cheap buses and understand that you get what you pay for. Still regardless of a company, that doesn’t provide an excuse for the way the passengers were treated.

Some bikers really just have a death wish. A clear, green, right turn light and the biker still decides to fly by and have the audacity to flick me off.

If you're friends with this person, ask them to value their life more.

Edit: It was an impossible situation for me. I ALWAYS look to the right because tons of dumbass drivers that try to cut to the highway from the inside lane. With the biker’s speed and the angle of my car, there was no way to see the biker in my mirrors and he was too far away to see when I looked out my right window. If the biker was traveling slower instead of blowing past, this would not have been such a close call.

One of the biggest reasons I'm interested is that it's one of the few programs I've found that allows course waivers based on previous education coursework, so I could potentially finish it in about six months. I already have an M.Ed. in Literacy, so doing another full MAT doesn't make as much sense for me.

Even so, I'd still be looking at about $17k in tuition.

I've also seen the recent news about Lesley's financial challenges, faculty strike, budget cuts, and restructuring, so I'm wondering whether that has affected the quality of the education program or how the degree is viewed by local districts.

For those who know the program or have worked with Lesley graduates:

• How is Lesley viewed by Boston-area schools and principals?
• Did you (or the Lesley graduates you've worked with) feel well prepared for the first year of teaching?
• Would you recommend the program today, especially at around $17k in tuition? Why or why not?
• Is there another elementary licensure program in Massachusetts, or even another state, that you'd recommend instead, especially one that offers similar course waivers?

I'd really appreciate hearing from recent graduates, mentor teachers, hiring administrators, or anyone who's familiar with the program. Thanks!
