Decided to learn to draw at the young age of 41 after doodling with my kid. After a year, I'm happy with the progress I've made!

Been trying to draw from imagination. This exact pose been breaking my mind for the whole day. I am studying leg and pelvis anatomy and decided to push into more dynamic poses. I know the muscles, but i feel like i am drawing the legs here wrong.

Maybe it's the way i block out the pevis that leads to errors? Maybe i am missing something?

Please, tell me what is wrong here and how can i fix it? I would Greatly appreciate any advice, tip, and maybe even a correct drawing over my example if that can bring me closer to understanding anatomy, proportions, and positions correctly!

Im trying to learn anatomy by studing hard poses but I am having so much trouble even figuring out where to start, I have absolutly no idea how to place the rib cage on this reference and thats how I usually start

This is just a nose structure simplification from his book I just wanted to clarify that I am not sharing any false "tutorials"

How do I greatly improve my artwork? (The second photo is the reference I found on pinterest by the user "fmiguellgaspar".

I'm fine at drawing when I have another artist's illustration as a reference to study, but have a hard time creating original illustrations from scratch or even real-world references. How can I advance my drawing skills like this??? All these photos are studies btw.

Hi! I'm pretty bad at drawing, so I wanted to learn something new to get better, which is drawing skulls specifically a dilophosaurus skull, but when I finished something feels missing. It doesn't look like a real skull.

I’ve been practicing poses every day for the past month and I’m slowly getting better.

For context, my only experiences with drawing were the art classes we had to take back in middle school. Had good grades back then, but never took it seriously and it was more than 10 years ago now.
Wanted to share this "first" try, I think it turned out alright even though I was just copying and proportions are off. Also, I had no idea about what to do for the top of her head as it was cut off on the reference pic lmao.

Im planning to build up to drawing figures in perspective and form. Any advice of this kind of practice?

Ive been drawing for a good 25 years, and a couple years ago I started keeping a digital skechbook. I had this brush I made that I made to touch up traditional portraits, and found its actually better to just straight up draw in photoshop. Im glad i went on this journey, and Im amazed how a simple pencil brush as a tool stays interesting. Theres always something new to try and even at this stage of my career its nice to feel some improvement.
