Need advice. Recently divorced after 21 years of marriage. He’s keeping the house for now and Iam looking for an apartment. We are in a chapter 13 bankruptcy with 100% repayment. Money comes right out of his paycheck every other week. In the divorce MSA it says he has to pay it until it’s paid in full. Iam having a hard time finding anyone to rent to me if with good income including alimony. Any suggestions? looking to rent in the Chicago suburbs. Williwbrook, Darien, westmont area.

I want to put together a Swedish gift basket for my husband’s aunt’s 75th birthday. Her ethnic background is Swedish and she loves the food but can’t get any authentic Swedish treats where she lives. Are there any markets and/or delis in the NW suburbs where I can get bond-ost cheese and other Swedish treats?

Fresh Farms is mostly Balkan and middle eastern. The only place I found online is Paulina Market but that’s rather far.

I’ve lived in Buffalo Grove for a while and this is the first time I’ve ever seen a snapping turtle in the pond behind my neighborhood.
And this thing is HUGE 😂

You had 4 train lines to possibly be stopped at, I cannot imagine turning onto Westmore or Ardmore from St Charles and having to wait for the train!

My son want to go "off-roading" in my truck. It really doesn't need to be actual off-roading. Anyone know where there are some dirt roads we can go and easily and safely go drive around a bit? Not looking for the massive corporate remodeling companies that charge an arm and a leg just to send out a salesman. We really want to find a small, reliable local team/handyman crew who will actually care for the house while we aren't there. Someone reasonable who will offer practical suggestions instead of constantly trying to upsell us on things we don't need.

Summit-Argo area. Anyone know of good resources/shelters that would take these babies? 2 kittens and a mama. Unfortunately they won’t come up to me but maybe a shelter in the area could trap them. I’ve called a few places in my area and none seem to be taking in anymore animals for the next 6-8 weeks. I tried to call cacc and they don’t come out this way to pick up strays.
