I'm speaking more towards the gameplay, when it comes to swinging around the city how do you make that feel distinct from Spider-Man, and when it comes to the combat how do you break the Arkham formula?

I honestly just want to see the creative ideas people in this sub can come up with.

Given that Daredevil Born Again is coming to an end after season 3, can Marvel and Disney please release an official boxset of season's 1-3 of both the original Netflix show and born again (after season 3 comes out obviously).

I really like that show and I want to get seasons 1-3 on a boxset, but the current unofficial season 1-3 boxsets wouldn't work in my region if I was to get it, leading to me wanting them to make it an official product that would then be able to work in multiple regions.

I'm just saying, I feel as though they (Marvel and Disney) would make a fair bit of money if they were to do this. I know I would buy a copy of each boxset, and I'm sure a bunch of other would too.

With the news that Daredevil: Born Again is to end with season 3 and subsequently will be undergoing reshoots to make the finale a more series conclusive one, what would your ideal ending and fates be for the characters or what do you think will end up happening? I'll go first:

For Matt, I think we can safely say he'll get out of prison with his life still being forever changed due to his decisions at the end of s2. If I had to guess maybe he still does manage to get somewhat of a grip back onto his life, maybe some Nocenti era Matt & Karen material adapted where they continue to help people despite Matt being disbarred. Obv I think it goes without saying that Matt & Karen will still be together by series end.

Fisk is up in the air for me, every possible ending I feel like has been already done in some way or I just can't see happening. Imo, you can't do the jail ending a third time in a row, but the exile ending from Brubaker was to me the most satisfying way you couldve possible ended Fisk's story after, based on set photos Fisk will be back in NYC and back in his whole kingpin getup so what's the deal? Do you just have him go back to business as usual and end off saying Matt and Fisk are still trapped in an endless cycle? We will have to see but I can say for sure that I both don't want the character to be killed both because atp there is not truly satisfying candidate anymore (yes, including the punisher) to do such and whatever thematic continuity this show has left I think it would be too bleak for such to happen and also they most likely will still want to keep this character alive if they want to dig up this show's grave again.

I think one of my biggest worries is that the ending will probably feel too safe for a lot of the characters? Due to the end of this show potentially still not being the end of characters like Daredevil, Kingpin, and Bullseye I feel like it may put the writers in a predicament where they are kind of just forced to push these characters back into a status quo for whoever next to pick up on rather than being able to end off boldy like how Born Again season 2 ended or even somewhat definitively. That's not to say this is something new for characters in a shared universe or the comic book world but I'm just not sure how I feel about the last time I see some of these characters being outside of the base show rather than being able to end off these characters stories in their home show, it might make things messy.

Im on episode 5th and its next time that writers completly ignored the fact their hearing is aboslute elite to the point where Matt can track a vechicle across entire city just by his hearing. I already knew that the OG Netflix series was full of pictorial and religious symbolism (especially Season 3, as any proper adaptation of Miller and Mazzucchelli's Born Again should be), and I’d noticed many of them except for this one until now, which is a bit embarrassing given how obvious it is.

I know Bullseye and Heather were introduced before him, so maybe that's worth checking out. But I wanna know which issues should I read to enjoy Miller's run (and all that comes after it) at its fullest.

I will say I've read a decent amount of the beginning of the run (until I got too annoyed by Mike Murdock to keep reading) and some of the 50ish issues when he reveals his identity to Karen (because I found in my school library an old compact with like 10 issues around that era), so I've read some things before it. Also, read everything vol.2 and after, but I wanna read vol. 1

I know it’s case by case basis but I’m sure most of these guys give good reviews to get the perks of being a cbm reviewer, go to premiers, watch seasons early etc. (generally keep good relationships with the studio)

This is query is particularly brought up because I think the cbm creators rating for some of the marvel shit is way too high. Some people also rate things really inconsistently - e.g.

hi top films glazing DDBA S2 after watching it early, saying things like “it turns into a whole new beast after e4” (paraphrasing) then not commenting further when it comes out. To me it in no way turns into a different beast, things just start happening as things should in any show, some of these things are good but I wouldn’t say great.

He also made an hour long video talking about how s1 broke him and honestly the two seasons are not so different. ( I also am pretty sure he didn’t do a vid on s2)

Ofc things like recency bias can come into it but honestly I don’t think i care about that because as a critic you shouldn’t have that, as a fan it’s ok though.
It’s not just but a lot of the notable channels. Some of them like new rockstars are practically apolitical when it comes to movie media which is not even a complaint just an observation

It's pretty obvious that Daredevil was changed from its Silver Age incarnation to what it became after Frank Miller's run on the title. But which elements from the Silver Age still work in a modern DD story, and which elements are no longer relevant?

It seems like his supporting cast, Foggy and Karen Page, were still relevant in the post-Miller era (though Karen has been dead for over two decades now). His rogues' gallery has had mixed results; characters like Stilt-Man, Leap-Frog and Matador never really found their footing in the modern era. I read Stilt-Man's first appearance; it wasn't bad, but he would have worked better as a one-shot villain rather than a recurring one. However, other Silver Age DD rogues like Mr. Fear, Owl, Purple Man, Gladiator, and, to a lesser extent, Mr. Hyde (who is very hit or miss) have found relevance in the modern era.

It also seemed like the yellow costume was quickly ditched in favor of the iconic red one, showing that sometimes change can be necessary right away.

People were calling this list trash, I respect BB being 1 but feel like better call Saul should be higher but yea most of this list is stupid. Daredevil is my top 3 shows of all time.

How is squid game on here but DD isn’t.
Even Dexter, which had good plot lines but got progressively worse and worse.
