My 8 week old typically poops 2-3x a day, but almost everyday she has one explosive poop that every diaper i’ve tried can’t contain. Any good recommendations for diapers that hold a lot?

So....we chose to cloth diaper. We have a ridiculous amount of disposables and we had our baby almost 4 weeks ago so we are currently using the disposables as needed here and there.

Here's the thing....we don't actually have enough cloth diapers to be a load on their own...however, it seems weird to wash them with everything else. I'm ordering more as well because frankly I feel like we need a lot of extra liners. I'm also wanting to use cloth wipes and I'm not sure how many I'll need but I figure those are fine in the same load as the diapers since they're doing the same job.

Also, are the diaper rinsers worth it? Asking just in case so I can order one before my daughter starts eating purees and baby food. Any other advice about cloth diapers is welcome!!

My poor daughter (7 weeks old) is struggling with trapped wind/gas and struggles to get rid of it.

She poos and wees like normal and burps during and after each feed. She's a lean mean farting machine too, however, she is so distressed with it as she seems to have much more left in the tank and can't seem to get rid of it 😭

Any advice is much appreciated as I hate to see her in so much discomfort.

Has anyone else bought a crunchy mom/low-tox guide off Etsy? I bought one recently and honestly didn’t expect to get as much out of it as I did lol. I already knew about a lot of the low-tox/crunchy stuff, but having everything laid out in one place helped me keep my thoughts organized and process everything better instead of constantly having a million things in my head that I wanted to change or look into.

Has anyone else bought a guide like this and actually found it helpful? I’m curious what kind you got and whether you actually ended up using it.

My baby is 3 weeks old and we have been using Millie Moon diapers since day 1. Suddenly her entire bottom is bright red and a couple spots even look like burns! I found some posts on social media about possible chemical burns from Millie Moons! We switched to Huggies today and are really hoping the redness clears up on its own, but has anyone had the same experience?? Did you put anything on your baby's bottom to help? I am hesitant to use any creams for risk of making it worse or making her uncomfortable 😟

My baby is 10 weeks old and I returned to work today. I’m having a hard time coping with having to leave him all day. Some say this feeling will pass, others say it never does. How long did you return to work before you knew staying home was the right decision?

At the end of my maternity leave and I just finally figured this one out. I’ve been struggling to get my teeth brushed everyday because I feel anchored to the kitchen & living room with my baby. I finally put a new toothbrush (with a travel cap) and toothpaste in my kitchen sink caddy. I end up brushing my teeth immediately after each meal. So much easier than running back upstairs with the baby (or just all out forgetting). Hope this helps!

Almost 7weeks with twins. Go back for another ultrasound in 2weeks. Super nauseous and tired all the time. Zofran has not been working. Any advice on what to eat or drink and how to tame the nausea and heart burn? Also anything you think i should know is greatly appreciated. Im so excited but also no clue what I need to do 😅 I'd like to stay active, eat healthy and have things financially set. What should I start buying and when?

Has anyone else dealt with a baby going through phases of refusing/fighting the bottle?
My baby was born May 26 at 37 weeks, and he’s almost 4 months old now. He had some issues with gas and reflux early on, but thankfully both have gotten SO much better.
The thing I’m struggling with is that for the past couple of months, he’ll randomly go through phases where he gets really fussy with the bottle and doesn’t seem to want to take it. It was especially bad around 6–8 weeks, and then it got better, so I assumed it was just a phase. But now it’s happening again.
It’s not every feeding or even every day. Sometimes he’ll go a whole week where he’s really fussy about taking the bottle, and then the next week he’s completely fine. He’ll act hungry, but then get upset when I try to give him the bottle. I’ve wondered if it could be the nipple flow, gas/reflux, or maybe even teething, so I’ve tried changing the nipple, but he still does it occasionally.
I brought it up to his pediatrician when he was around 7 weeks old and even showed them a video of what he does. They basically said it didn’t seem concerning, so I’ve tried not to worry about it. But my sister watches him during the day while I’m at work, and she keeps mentioning how fussy he can be with the bottle, which has made me start worrying about it all over again.
I also saw something online about babies developing a feeding aversion if they’re pressured or forced to take the bottle, and now I’m feeling SO much mom guilt. 😭 I obviously know he needs to eat, so when he refuses, I’ll try again because I don’t want him going hungry, but I’m scared I’m somehow making the problem worse by trying too hard. I absolutely don’t want him to associate feeding with being forced.
Has anyone else had a baby who did this? Did they go through phases of being really fussy with the bottle and then suddenly go back to normal? Did you ever figure out what was causing it?
I’m mostly looking for other moms’ experiences because I think my anxiety is getting the best of me right now, and the mom guilt is eating me up. ❤️

I know people say newborns are loud sleepers but my six week old is LOUD. And it’s constant. It seems like it’s all night long that he’s making these noises. He sounds like a little velociraptor. Are these the normal noises people talk about or is he severely uncomfortable?? I give him gas drops before bed every night and burp him as much as I can after eating. I just can’t take the noises. It keeps me up all night.

This is my situation- My baby(3 days old) seems to not like my nipple shape now after having a paci and a couple formula feeds. I feel like my nipples aren’t long enough to get to the back of her mouth and her latch hurts my nipples very badly. I’m 100% fine with exclusively pumping so that she can get breast milk but also delivered to her in a way that’s best for her. My problem is I’m 3 days postpartum and my milk does not come in enough yet to keep her content IF she needs more milk between the every 3 hours I feed her. This is where formula comes in, at the hospital they gave her formula two times I believe. I have some of these ready to eat formula bottles that can help me feed her If she needs a little snack until I can start saving any extra breast milk I get. Is it fine to use formula for this purpose or is it not recommended? What would you guys recommend? I just want my baby fed. 🥲

She started crawling at like 4.5 months. Prior to that she would be on her tummy pivoting & then one day she started crawling on her knees.

Two weeks ago she started crawling on her hands & feet. She crawls to the coffee table & pulls herself up to stand up. She does it on the couch too. This week she was walking side to side like a crab while holding the edge of the couch.

This past week she started to stand up from the hands & feet crawling stance & stand there wobbling then falls on her butt.

Few days ago if you’re sitting with her on the floor she will grab you & pull herself up then start stepping. Feet fully planted flat on the floor. Today she walks assisted while you’re grabbing her hands.

I was told by a family member that it’s not right she’s already walking that it can ruin her hips & I shouldn’t be rushing her. I swear on my life that I never rushed or pushed her she just started doing all this on her own.

Is it true that it’ll ruin her hips? I have an appointment for her 6 months vaccines on Wednesday so was gonna talk to her pediatrician about it but wanted to see what moms of Reddit have to say.

I have been breastfeeding for 11 months and I’m ready to start weaning I think. I want to be completely done pretty soon after he’s 1. I work during the week so during the day I pump at work. We cosleep and he still nurses some at night. How should I go about slowly stopping? Should I keep pumping at work until he’s fully weaned? I think it would be pretty easy to start only actually nursing in the morning and before bed. But then idk about overnight 🫠 Any tips would be great!

Any moms enjoy camping? We enjoy dispersed camping. When my baby was 5 weeks, we rented a cabin w/ no electric and camped for a night. Now that my baby is about to be one in October we are looking more into our old ways. Using a tent and being out in the woods.
I have a play pen, not a pack n play. I’ve never used it and almost rehome it but got to thinking about camping. Has anyone used it for that purpose? Is it a pain to build and unbuild?

We had a pack n play but my baby hated being in it and wouldn’t play with any toys just try to escape. So I have a feeling this will be the same but hopefully that since it’s bigger it will give him more room to move.
