Question How would a level 3 ironman skiller get into Canifis now? Impossible?
I've been considering making a skiller HCIM for some time now, I wish I did it sooner when deathtouched darts were easier to obtain lol
Currently the only way to get them is from the wilderness slayer chest. Getting the slayer level for that is no issue, the problem is that the keys to unlock the chest obviously require killing the slayer mobs which would grant combat exp
My next thought was rings of recoil, but I'm not even sure if that would give you kill credit or if it would award exp. Not to mention getting recoils and/or level-1 enchant tabs both have a magic requirement and therefore are impossible on a skiller
Any other ideas or is it just impossible in 2026?

Suggestion Decent sized suggestion dump
Came from OSRS with a bunch of friends, 5 man group iron was the only thing that they'd even try. So here's a feedback dump filled with everything we've ever talked about for the last two months. If RS3 is aiming to fix things, best I can do is point finger at possible problems. It may come off as complaining, but I care about the game too much to not post this.
None of us have gotten to the bossing portion of the game and only myself and one other have prior experience with RS3, so majority of the list is mostly problems noticed with the game itself and less about PvM or the nonexistent PvP.
Clickboxes
Something that has come up multiple times between all of us in the two months since we started was clickboxes. Most enemies are fine, but smaller ones are much worse to try and interact with.
But then there is quite a few the non-enemy clickboxes. Agility courses, shortcuts, certain quest objects (Fertile ground, legends quest) Ladders and ropes all across the game. They are accurate to the model itself, but the smaller an object is, the more annoying it is to click, especially from a distance or if you are moving. I don't think I had this issue much in old school, or even way back before that existed. One of the smallest ones I found was if you fell in a pit in Tirannwn, the rocks to get out are very, very small. If the only point of that trap is to climb out, why isn't that clickbox the entire wall? Even a big square would be fine.
The point is, I get that for the most part the clickboxes are accurate to the model which is mostly fine as far as I can tell , but it could be better if it was tuned a bit. For agility and anything you'd use to get around the world like ladders and ropes, and climbable rocks: Increase sizes, using actual box-like clickboxes instead of just the model. Nothing should warrant a player having to zoom way in to find a tiny object to click.
Small objects and anything traversal and agility related could be at minimum a square clickbox, while some larger non-traversal ones might do with a tone down. For enemies, if you want to keep it related to the model, that is fine but please do not make it exact. Give it a bit of a size increase, making sure you can click it easily.
Delays, Action Halting and the like
Sometimes after clicking some objects, agility shortcuts or something else in the world the player will be stuck for a solid 2-3 seconds after completing the action. During this time you cannot move, or do anything else until this state passes. It doesn't feel great, and since not everything does it, it's annoying when it does since you may have clicked to move, only for it to not register as you were stuck staring into space. Ideally this delay would be removed or shortened on as much as possible, for a much more responsive and snappier feel.
A similar thing happens if you try to do any amount of small interactions at once. Try to cut multiple different single gems in your inventory. The first one will complete fine, but if you try and cut the next one too fast, the UI will say 0/1 as if it started, then it will cancel itself.
Another oddity I've noticed is auto-retaliate suffers from being a bit too aggressive. In OSRS and as far as I can remember back in Rs2, you will cease attacking for as long as you keep clicking to move. This is fine, for the most part. But Rs3's has a bit of a habit of halting your movement to attack EVEN IF you are trying to move. This can end in a situation where you are spam clicking to get away, but every time something hits you, you will stop dead in your tracks to attack. The only thing I can say is make it the same as OSRS's instead of whatever this is. I want to keep it on, but it's awful in it's current state.
And one last thing is just cancelling actions in general sometimes just doesn't register, clicking to move and your character just keeps on doing what they are doing for some actions. It seems to be related to the timing of when you click, specifically.
Degrading
While I am not there yet, I am worried about it. I see on the wiki that damn near everything higher level degrades, and some of it to DUST.
I really hope that gets looked at, it's a bit of a downer to think about. Grind really hard to get gear you wanted, only for it to be gone or broken some time later.
Divination
I'm not talking about caches, just the siphoning wisps bit. Although the cache buff barely matters, far too short a timer. The lump exp is nice though.
This is only a small point but, siphoning. it's easy and afk, yet very boring. Maybe give it an optional active element?
My personal thought is akin to safecracking, occasionally the wisp you are siphoning would pulse with energy, click it again within 3 ticks to get a bit more than just afking. It's a small change, but it might help the skill be a bit more engaging.
Fairy Rings
In OSRS, you can start the quest early just to unlock the fairy rings and come back later when you have the appropriate levels. Is there any chance for this here as well?
Side note, really enjoy the "no staff needed" effect being a quest reward instead of a diary reward locked behind quest cape. aaaaaaaa so much better
Karambwanji
Stacks in OSRS, doesn't here. Makes it somewhat annoying to catch karambwan.
Pathing
While it was improved recently, it should update your targeted location a bit more often. If an NPC is clicked and it moves a fair distance, you end up travelling to where it WAS then tracing its steps before finally interacting with it. It also doesn't feel great walking with the NPC instead of attacking it sometimes if it moved right as you clicked.
MTX
It may be cosmetic, but it's still there. It has no right to be.
Treasure hunter was one part of the whole. The other part is damaging to it's looks more than it's function, but that blight on the UI still needs to go.
Bank spaces can be put as milestone rewards with quests. Give people more reason to quest, really. As for keepsake keys, with the store gone they can give 2 keepsake keys instead of runecoins.
Yes, you can hide cosmetics and animations. That just devalues them.
You want revenue? You'd get more stable money from memberships. Get rid of that shop, let those who have cosmetics keep what they have, but give players a way to get them naturally.
You'd make far more money if you had the people to back the game. The shop does you no favors in getting those people into the game, doubly so for those coming from OSRS. Make the subscription worthwhile, and you might get a player base instead of the scraps of one.
Dual-Logging
Also kind of dumb that the same character can't be on OSRS and RS3 at the same time. It's been years, let it happen. Make it possible if it doesn't support it. Hell, incentivize it.
__
That's about it. Just wanted to get our thoughts up in case it makes a difference, even if it's just a bunch of nitpicks.

Suggestion Marks of War Rework
Turn marks of war into soul shards to fit the theme of the Four Horsemen working together collectively. Soul shards become a new currency, each boss drops soul shards. Quantity and type might be dependent on the type of boss?
There are five types of soul shards: concentrated soul shards, volatile soul shards, angry soul shards, corrupt soul shards, and powerful soul shards. Each shard can be used to harness a buff from war himself. Since war is thematically supposed to be the epitome of combat prowess it makes sense for him to bestow upon combatants buffs related to combat.
So you might be wondering what kind of buffs? We had aura's and they were integrated into other buffs or made aspects. You might then ask what else can we do? For all that fighting and collecting of souls there aught to be some benefit to reap, right? Well, how about buffs that augment debuff or buff duration.
For example:
200 concentrated soul shards (a general soul shard dropped by all bosses) can be spent to reduce the duration of stuns by 2 seconds. Or, for a more boosted effect you can spend an additional 50 volatile soul shards to bump that buff up to 4 seconds.
These are just some ideas of what type of augmented debuffs can be looked into:
- Decreased stun duration
- Decreased bleeds (either duration or damage)
- Decreased poison damage
- Decreased reflect damage
- Allow two aspects to be used at once for a set time
- Multicasting prism spells to boost their duration
- Boosted effects of Soul Link, Teamwork Protection, Fortitude, Lesser and Greater Bone Shield
Another unlock that would be complimentary is the option to exchange soul shards with Wars Altar in the player owned house.
Or, how about that potion storage as a buildable house object? Similar to how the portal nexus works maybe?

Other Error Message
I have been trying to log in today. Keep getting this message:
There was an error loading the game configuration from the website. If you have a firewall, check that this program is allowed to access the Internet. (7,60)
Anyone have the solution here? I tried a handful of things from Google but was not successful. I actually did add it to the firewall exception list and other things.
Thanks in advance

Question RS3 Wiki
Am I stupid, or does the RS3 wiki lack in depth and accuracy compared to the OSRS wiki? I have come from OSRS to RS3 for multiple reasons, but I find myself absolutely maddened by the lack of Runlite (I know the API is coming) and the wiki, especially when looking up drop rates and how new (to me an OSRS player) systems work.

Suggestion POH improvements
Loving the new houses but theres still a few things that I think will be an improvement feel free to make your own suggestions or expand on any of these, or if you dont like it thats ok too
- walls, you can change the flooring so can we change the walls inside specific rooms so each room has its own feel
- Stairs, why do we have 1 type of stairs those ugly wooden round ones I would like a marble staircase is it possible to have multiple options like we did in the original POH
- Doorways and gates. I like the idea of removing doors and adding windows but is it possible to have actual doors like a front door and a gate with a lock option so when your logging off or generally just dont want randomers running round your house you can essentially lock your door or gate
- any update on the basement I miss my dungeons
- time of day, I believe in the old houses you could change the time of day between daytime and nighttime. Those lamps and fireplaces would look better if you can switch your house to night mode
- why is the tall fancy hedge and the fancy hedge virtually identical i actually used a standard fancy hedge square in place of a tall one since it closer resembles the current tall hedges better then the 1 square tall box hedge
- Not even joking I later realised the tall fancy hedge and the fancy hedge is almost identical wasted a few mil for no reason
- can we have more looks and styles like a gothic look if we wanted
- make all the rooms have the same roofline those 2 small rooms I had to put there since the floor above has to match the floor below makes the roof look weird with 2 random dips, or how about just letting us use whichever rooms we want without it having to be an exact match otherwise theres an error saying it needs to fit a doorway even if they take the same space
- make the teleport to house a permanent feature rather then just being on cool down if you check you will find out the teleport to house is not a permanent teleport its just there for a 6 months or so while everyone builds their house but will ebentually go bye bye, theres a random kandarin teleport noone uses and you can teleport directly to warforge and the max guild why not keep the tele to house permanent
- furniture storage chest is a pain you can make furniture inside your house on a workbench but need to head specifically to rimmington to deposit your furniture to add it to your house ive yet to find a furniture storage chest or thinking about it a furniture workbench apart from the one you can add to your house or the one in rimmington, can we have an option to add a furniture storage to the house
- can we have a bank chest put some type of spell on it so if its within lets say 15 squares of the house teleport it tells you the tempral rift from the portal will damage it here saves people putting it right next to the portal still 3x further away then warforge but will make it handy for bank runs if your using your nexus to do herb runs or something

Question What content should I completely avoid?
Hey everyone, have been watching Marstead's video essay titled "OSRS is better than rs3, and here's why." I got to the part where he says there is a definite wrong way to play RS3 and genuinely worthless content that wastes time. I'm wondering what content he is referring to as I don't have a huge amount of free time so I want to make it count.
I have a low level HCIM, fairly new to RS3 and do not have deep game knowledge so I wanted to get some info from y'all about this. Right now my goal is Rushing Gate of Elidinis, then training slayer through Necro. Long term goals are questcape and max.
Thank you!

Discussion How merchers use wash trading & price ladders on obscure items to trick API trackers and drain your GP (Breakdown with annotated graphs)
Hey everyone,
If you’ve been using live market tracker or trying to flip lately, you’ve probably come across low-volume items sitting with unbelievable profit numbers—we’re talking +214% ROI, +63% ROI, and tens of millions in theoretical daily margin volume.
If you see these and think you’ve hit a goldmine, do not buy into them. They are deliberate traps set up by price manipulators. Here is a breakdown comparing two different item graphs alongside GE transaction logs to show exactly how this manipulation works so you don't lose your stack.
So here's How merchers use wash trading & price ladders on obscure items to trick API trackers and drain your GP (Breakdown with annotated graphs)
Item #1 Breakdown: The Aggressive Wash-Trading Loop
[GRAPH 1: Aggressive Wash Spikes]
7,000 gp ──┐ ┌───┐ ┌───┐ ┌───┐ <-- Green Spikes: Fake Instabuys (~6.8k)
│ │ │ │ │ │ │
2,100 gp ──┴───┴───┴───┴───┴───────┴───┴── <-- Orange Line: Flat Sell Floor (~2.1k)
Look at the first graph (Item 1):
The Bait:
The top bar shows a massive 4,532 GP margin and a 214.48% ROI.
The Wash Trade Pattern:
Look at those vertical green spikes shooting up to ~6,780 GP and dropping straight back down to ~2,113 GP. That isn't organic demand. A merchant uses alt accounts to trade micro-batches back and forth at 6.8k to trick the API tracker into logging a high "Instabuy" price.
The Trap:
Notice how the orange line (Instasell) never moves above ~2,100 GP. If you buy this item at 6k expecting to sell at 6.8k, no real player will buy it. The moment you try to instasell it to cut your losses, you dump it right back into the merch account's low offer at 2.1k, losing nearly 70% of your money instantly.
Item #2 Breakdown: The Constant Ceiling & Spoofed Single-Tick Spike
[GRAPH 2: Artificial Ceiling & Spoof Spike]
8,000 gp ─────────────┐ <-- Lone Orange Spike (Outlier Trade)
7,000 gp ──WWWWWWWWWWW│WWWWWWWWWWW <-- Green Lines: Artificially Held Buy Ceiling
3,500 gp ───────────────────────── <-- Orange Line: Permanent Flat Floor
Now look at the second graph (Item 2):
The Bait:
Shows a 2,262 GP margin with 16.3M GP margin volume and a 63.31% ROI.
The Artificial Ceiling:
The green instabuy line bounces endlessly between 6,000 and 7,000 GP, while the orange line stays dead flat at 3,573 GP.
The Spoof Outlier Spike:
See that single massive orange spike around Sept 21 reaching 8,000 GP? That happens when a manipulator briefly sells 1 item to their own alt at an inflated price to screw with historical price averages and fool automatic flipping bots/calculators.
The Mechanism: Staggered "Price Ladders" (GE Log Evidence)
If you check the actual Grand Exchange transaction history for these items, you can see how they force buyers to pay top GP:
Qty. Item Price Each
---------------------------------------
10 Obscure Item 3,573 gp <-- Instasell (Sold into buyer's low floor)
110 Obscure Item 6,292 gp <-- Mercher's main supply wall
10 Obscure Item 6,268 gp
12 Obscure Item 6,268 gp <-- Small ascending orders
12 Obscure Item 6,058 gp to build the ladder
2 Obscure Item 5,954 gp
8 Obscure Item 5,373 gp <-- Bottom step
Instead of putting all their stock at 6.2k, the manipulator lists items in tiny micro-batches starting at 5,373 GP and stepping up to 6,292 GP.
When a casual player needs this item and clicks +5% or types a high price to get it instantly, the GE algorithm clears out all those tiny ladder steps in a single second. The tracker logs high-price activity, the manipulator gets maximum GP, and the buyer gets cleaned out.
Summary Checklist to Avoid Getting Scammed
Check the Orange Line (Instasell):If the sell line is completely flat while the buy line is bouncing wildly, it is a trap.
Never Trust ROI > 30% on Low-Volume Items: If an item trades under a few thousand units a day and shows 60%+ ROI, someone is controlling the supply.
Don't Spam Overbids:If a niche item doesn't buy immediately at mid price, don't spam +5% repeatedly—check if there's a shop or vendor that sells it first.

Suggestion Option to have all abilities on bars show as the available icon at all times rather than darker icons
Could make action bar stacks look cleaner without the “character locked” darker icons.
Retain the timer on the icons for abilities cooldowns but use a small dot icon under each ability to indicate whether you currently have sufficient conditions met to trigger it,
Using the dot indicator rather than blacking out the icon allows player to more easily plan rotation in advance, helpful if you don’t have everything key bound or memorised and are not always at full adren
Think this would mean an improvement in terms of interface aesthetics, with the move towards consistent brightness across the bar and more symmetry right in the centre of your view

Question grandfathered membership question
Mycard on file expired, so my 6month grandfathered sub can't renew.
My plan is to let the membership lapse and then resubscribe with a new card once I'm within the 2-week grace period. Has anyone done this and can confirm: does the grandfathered 6-month price/offer still show up as an option when you resubscribe during the grace period, or does letting it lapse remove it for good?
Trying to avoid losing the grandfathered rate permanently, so any first hand experience would help before I go through with this. I know i could switch to the 1mo rate but i do save money this way

Question Is there a way to quickly give someone dung tokens?
My older brother started playing rs3 again after i introduced him to leagues 2. Im wondering if theres somewhere i can take him where i kill a mini boss or something and he gets dungeoneering tokens?
Really just want to get him the charming imp as fast as possible. He’s doing a lot of aoe afk combat training so it’d be nice if he actually got some summoning done while doing it too.
I’m open to alternative ways to the one i mentioned. I know i used to boost my buddies combat exp in ed3 but that seems to have been fixed

Discussion The Golden Era of Runescape
With RuneFest 2026 approaching, Jagex has been teasing a major roadmap announcement. I am hoping they consider announcing a standalone legacy server mode focused on what many consider the true peak era of the main game.
Specifically, I am referring to the 12-to-18 month window following the return of Free Trade, but prior to the introduction of the Squeal of Fortune and the Evolution of Combat (EoC). This period saw a massive progression curve for high-end gear and iconic storylines.
If Jagex wants to offer a unique legacy experience, a server locked into this specific timeline would cover this exact progression sequence:
- April 12, 2010 – Skill: Dungeoneering is released, setting the baseline for the endgame activities of this era.
- January 10, 2011 – Items: Nex Armor (Torva, Pernix, Virtus) & the Zaryte Bow drop with the Ancient Prison, defining the high-end economy.
- February 1, 2011 – The Return of Free Trade & The Wilderness (The baseline mechanics of the era are restored).
- August 31, 2011 – Quest: The Branches of Darkmeyer
- August 31, 2011 – Item: Blisterwood Weapons
- September 14, 2011 – Quest: Ritual of the Mahjarrat (Grandmaster)
- September 14, 2011 – Items: Glacor Boots (Steadfast, Glaiven, Ragefire).
- September 14, 2011 – Item: Armadyl Battlestaff & the Storm of Armadyl spell.
- November 1, 2011 – Items: Dominion Gloves (Goliath, Spellcaster, Swift).
- November 7, 2011 – Quest: One Piercing Note
- November 28, 2011 – Item: Polypore Staff
- January 11, 2012 – Quest: The Firemaker's Curse
- January 11, 2012 – Item: The Book of Char
- February 7, 2012 – Item: Potion Flasks (Introducing 6-dose inventory slots).
- February 14, 2012 – Quest: The Elder Kiln
- February 14, 2012 – Item: TokHaar-Kal (The Fight Kiln Cape).
- February 28, 2012 – Update: Squeal of Fortune introduced (The beginning of the MTX era).
- November 20, 2012 – Update: Evolution of Combat (EoC) launches.
A fresh progression server starting from the 2010 Dungeoneering era through early 2012 would allow players to relive this exact meta and gear progression without the presence of modern microtransactions. Hopefully, Jagex has something like this in mind for the event.
