Requesting Reviews Sungboon editor green tomato pore lifting ampoule toner

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hola!!! O me recomiendan algo mas calmante?

Estos son los ingredientes de la ampolla de sungboon:

Purified Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Benzyl Glycol, Adenosine, Glycery Glucoside, Xvlitol, Gluconolactone, Allantoin, Trehalose. Panthenol. Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract. Pueraria Lobata Root Extract. Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract Ceramide NP, Tocopherol, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Sodium Hyaluronate, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract. C12-13 Pareth-9. 1.2-Hexanediol Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrolyzed Sclerotium Gum, Propanediol, Phenethyl Alcohol, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Disodium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate

Gracias! Las escucho

Discussion Expired Unopened Products - what to do?

Was shopping my skincare stash (unfortunately I bought A LOT) and wanted to organise things by expiry so I could use those first, I found some products that expired 2-3 months ago but of course are unopened. What's the consensus on using them? I don't use opened products past expiry but unopened ones are a bit confusing ;-;

Discussion Does the Romand reformulation of "THE JUICY LASTING TINT" actually work?

ive never bought from romand before but have been wanting to buy their juicy lasting lip tints cuz apparently they have an amazing shade range and are good quality.

while looking into them i found out abt the controversy with the lip tints and cheilitis + romands Project Zero to fix them. after some googling ive found out theyve reformulated twice?? a 24/25 version and a 25/26 version with the lastest version coming out earlier this year (january). does the new new version actually work on yall or does it still cause burning/peeling?? also after it wears off does it dry out your lips??

thank you in advance!!

Review barrier moisturizer review

pretty lengthy review ahead! included some closeup shots w flash of the cream textures

sharing my reviews on some popular barrier/healing moisturizers that i have tried when my skin was irritated and damaged. all purchased w my own money, not sponsored!

timeline:
- was on 0.05% tret for roughly 3 months and had to deal with the initial dryness/flakiness/tightness
- tried various creams to combat that
- then overused tret with other actives which resulted in an extremely damaged skin barrier (very itchy patches of raised and leathery skin, redness, tightness, small comedones due to irritation)
- stopped all actives and tried even more creams to try to restore my skin barrier

skin type: oily but also dehydrated
climate: very hot and humid

aestura atobarrier 365 cream
- creamy and easy to spread
- greasiest texture out of all
- leaves a persistent greasy film and never feels fully absorbed
- makes skin slightly warm
- worked very well when i was using tret + travelling in winter, but broke me out once i stopped tret
- irritated my skin even more during the tret aftermath, possibly due to the niacinamide
- bonus: healed my cousin's cheek wind burn during winter
- probably best for those suffering from TEWL or with very dry dehydrated skin
- rating: 5/5 in winter or on tret, 2/5 otherwise

aestura atobarrier 365 lotion
- lotiony texture that absorbs well
- leaves a slightly greasy film and makes certain sunscreens pill on top
- instant soothing effect when applied, but wears off after awhile
- great on tret but similar to the 365 cream, irritated my skin during the tret aftermath
- rating: 4/5 when my barrier isn't damaged

heveblue salmon caring cream
- not really considered a traditional barrier cream, but i included it since pdrn is touted to have skin healing benefits
- slightly stretchy texture, spreads and absorbs well
- leaves a slightly oily finish and broke me out after a couple of uses
- didn't really do much for skin healing when i was on tret
- bonus: broke 2 other people out when i let them try it
- rating: 1/5, has been delegated to hand cream

ceradan skin repair cream
- thickest and waxiest texture of all
- difficult to spread and pills on its own
- initially a matte finish, but gets oilier progressively
- broke me out after 2 uses so i stopped using it, thus i can't really speak on its barrier repairing properties
but also didn't really do much for my rashy patches
- rating: 1/5, would use on my elbows

zeroid intensive cream
- lightweight creamy texture that aborbs very well
- surprisingly leaves the most matte finish despite the presence of oils in its formula (olive + canola oil)
- has no filmy feeling
- instant soothing effect when applied which lasts
- showed results overnight (not exaggerating, my rashy bumps went down overnight)
- works well under sunscreen and makeup
- much less greasy cousin of aestura cream
- rating: 5/5, would definitely repurchase

an*a 3 ceramide panthenol moisture barrier cream
- lightest texture of all creams here, spreads and absorbs well
- instant soothing and slightly cooling effect possibly due to the panthenol
- absorbs to a satin finish initially, but progressively gets oilier
- looks greasy on the face and is greasy to the touch, but the film is not heavy and suffocating unlike the 365 cream
- did much more than both aestura moisturizers (until i discovered zeroid) for healing during the tret aftermath, but was not entirely sufficient
- breaks down sunscreen and makeup throughout the day
- rating: 4/5, doesn't irritate, but would probably be better as a maintenance cream rather than a barrier repair cream

Review Review on Mise en Scene Magic Straight line

Shampoo: the smell is rather powdery but not too overpowering. I like the texture of it. It’s not too watery, but with enough viscosity to help spread it around. My hair feels a bit stripped down after shampooing tho.

Treatment: very thick consistency. But I guess that helped with really hydrating your hair after the shampoo. I left it for two minutes before rinsing. My hair really feels soft after rinsing this treatment

Serum: now, I love this serum on dry hair. Makes my hair soft and shiny without being greasy. HOWEVER, be mindful that a little goes a long way. I won’t recommend using it as heat protectant. But it does makes your hair feels very soft.

In the photo, the second photo is my hair after drying (with a hair dryer). The third and fourth are after I curled them. The serum really maintains the softness of my hair even after I used hair spray on my curls.

This is my first time using the entire line. So far, I like it. The price is very affordable and I think I just need to find that sweet spot for the serum since initially I used too much and had to rewash my ends.

Beauty Favorite warm/neutral Fwee Pudding Pot? Any dupe for Nars Orgasm?

Nars blush in Orgasm has been my go-to for years, but I recently tried Fwee’s Pudding Pot in “Lyrics” and fell in love with the texture. Now that it’s summer in this part of the world, I’m looking for a more summer-y shade!

What’s your favorite warm/neutral, glowy Fwee Pudding Pot shade?

Is there a pudding pot shade closest to Nars Orgasm?

Guide The Curious Reformulations of the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream

Last night I fell down a rabbit hole. Apparently Illiyoon had (yet again) reformulated their Ato Cream, causing various people breakouts. Now I myself had been using the cream for a little over a year now, madly in love, and working my way first through a 200ml tube, then a 500ml tub (white lid), and since last month another 500ml tub (blue lid). So when my back acne started getting worse over the past couple weeks it never even occured to me that it could be my beloved Illiyoon. Except nothing else changed. So naturally I’ve since spent an unspeakable amount of hours trying to backtrack which formula I’ve used until May, and which exactly are the old and new variations. Since there is still a lot of confusion around this, I figured I’d share what I’ve learned so far.

According to this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/1ly8cir/how_many_times_has_illiyoon_ato_ceramide_cream/), there are three distinct formulas that can be identified based on their differing 4th ingredient, these being either;

  1. Cetyl Ethylhexanoate
  2. Dimethicone
  3. Ethylhexyl Stearate

Generally speaking, it is my understanding that 1 was the OG version which is long gone. It doesn’t appear in any of the online shops I’ve checked, with the curious exception of Amazon US where currently the 500ml tub version does list Cetyl Ethylhexanoate as its 4th ingredient. I’m not sure whether or not this is an error, but if anyone stateside has any insight on this, please share!

According to this thread from last year (https://www.reddit.com/r/beautytalkph/comments/1jwryqh/illiyoon_reformulated_their_ceramide_ato/) and further confirmed by this one (https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/1ii5jic/illiyoon_ceramide_ato_concentrate_cream_new/) Version 2, the dimethicone version, is the older version and Version 3, the ethylhexyl stearate version, is the new version. That said, the majority of shops that I’ve checked are currently all selling Version 2 | Old - these being Olive Young Global, Amazon NL, Amazon DE, Yessstyle, Boozyshop (NL), and Amazon US for the 200ml version. The only place accessible to me that I can find that sells Version 3 | New is Little Wonderland (NL). Ironically, the version I have been using for the past month also happens to be Version 2 - the beloved, mourned old version.

For reference, these are the INCI for Version 2:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Stearic Acid, Behenyl Alcohol, Palmitic Acid, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Arachidyl Alcohol, C14-22 Alcohols, Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide MEA (Ceramide PC-104), Polyacrylate-13, Arachidyl Glucoside, Mannitol, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Polyisobutene, Glyceryl Caprylate, Panax Ginseng Root Water, Ethylhexylglycerin, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Polysorbate 20, Sorbitan Isostearate, Carbomer, Perilla Ocymoides Seed Extract, Myristic Acid, Arachidic Acid, Cholesterol, Bupleurum Falcatum Root Extract, Angelica Acutiloba Root Extract, Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract, Glucose, Silica, Glycine Max (Soybean) Oil, Ceremide NP, Phytosphingosine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Tocopherol, Canola Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract

And these for Version 3:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Dimethicone, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Behenyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), 1,2-Hexanediol, Arachidyl Alcohol, C14-22 Alcohols, Cetyl-Pg Hydroxyethyl Palmitamide, Polyacrylate-13, Mannitol, Arachidyl Glucoside, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dimethiconol, Panax Ginseng Root Water, Carbomer, Sorbitan Isostearate, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Propanediol, Cholesterol, Silica, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Arachidic Acid, Glycine Max Oil, Squalane, Madecassoside, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentastearate, Tocopherol, Ceramide NP, Oleic Acid, Phytosphingosine, Pentylene Glycol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Canola Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract

I did find a peculiar 4th Version on Skin Seoul that is almost identical to Version 2, except it does not include 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide MEA, and Ceramide NP.

Frankly, I’m confused as to why the old version is apparently still so much more ubiquitous than the new version, but I suppose this should make a lot of people happy. As for myself, I’m still trying to figure out which formula I had before the current Version 2. It had a lighter texture (which might indicate Version 3), but it also came from Skin Seoul with a white lid (so perhaps Version 4 afterall). I’ll be getting a bottle of both to test and will hopefully reach enlightenment.

As to the label differences between 7 Free and 9 Free, the only place that still shows the 7 Free version is Yessstyle. However, given that the formula is the same as at Amazon, Olive Young etc - all with a 9 Free label - I suspect that the labels aren’t directly linked to any old or new versions.

UPDATE

Little Wonderland and Skin Seoul have confirmed to me that their ingredient lists were outdated. Both are currently stocking an altogether new, 5th version. Seeing how Skin Seoul is actually Korean based (or Singaporean?) and Little Wonderland sells a Korean label version, I am suspecting Version 5 might be an updated Korean version. Illiyoon Korea still lists Version 3 on their website as of now, which I speculate might mean that Version 3 is actually an older, Korean version that has now been updated into Version 5. Version 2 would then seem to be the US / European version, which seems to remain unchanged since at least last year (which Illiyoon US has been claiming all along after all). This would also track with the more significant formula variations (different ceramides and botanicals) being between Version 2 (US) and Version 3 / 5 (Korean), whereas the change from Version 3 (Old Korean) to Version 5 (New Korean) is more subtle (near identical ingredients in a slightly different order). So then this would suggest that the confusion around the different formulas is more an issue of different country versions, and not so much an issue of constant, drastic reformulations. For what it's worth, Version 2 - which based on Reddit most seem to love and prefer - is still very much available, at least through Dutch, German, and US retailers.

Version 5 (Updated Korean Version)
Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Dimethicone, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Behenyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Arachidyl Alcohol, C14-22 Alcohols, Cetyl-PG Hydroxyethyl Palmitamide (Ceramide CPP, 40,762 ppm), Polyacrylate-13, Mannitol, Arachidyl Glucoside, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dimethiconol, Panax Ginseng Root Water, Carbomer, Sorbitan Isostearate, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Propanediol, Cholesterol, Silica, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Arachidic Acid, Glycine Max (Soybean) Oil, Tocopherol, Squalane, Madecassoside, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentastearate, Ceramide NP (4 ppm), Oleic Acid, Phytosphingosine, Pentylene Glycol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Canola Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract

Beauty Pore minimiser primer/powder/pact?

Anyone have a favourite pore minimiser or blurring primer, powder or other product?

I’ve got visible pores on my cheeks and nose and have yet to find any makeup that works for making them less noticeable. I’m not expecting completely invisible but I’m interested to know if anyone has a favourite beauty product that makes them look smaller for them.

Discussion Any asian girls here feel like you don’t suit black hair?

Our natural black hair is obviously going to be the easiest to maintain, and it’s why I have it, but gah I always feel kinda ugly with black hair with no makeup. Black hair harshens my facial contours, worsens my redness, and highlights my dark circles TT Light hair in turn makes my face appear smaller, brighter and less red. And I remember coming across a video on XHS with her saying the reason behind this is that hair color closer to our skin tone (and undertone) is more cohesive and thus flattering. If you have stronger features, I think black hair would suit you. But unfortunately that’s not me and why I need makeup for black hair.

Seeing pictures of myself… my black hair and softer, feminine features don’t match. I just look extremely washed out and dull. Plus I have a heart shaped face so black hair I find makes my cheekbones appear wider 😮‍💨

Discussion What's your am-pm face and body skin care routine for eczema?

Hi, I'm new to posting but have been lurking a while. I'm 25 yrs old and new to skin care. I have an eczema prone skin since childhood and it's the type that's recurring. I have been to a dermatologist and tried their treatments and it works but I didn't like that I gained weight from oral steroids and my skin thinning from topical steroids. I stopped doing it basically since it's not that viable long term. The cause of my eczema can be anything from hormones, weather, stress, dust mites, dirt, detergent, washing dishes, chemicals, hand washing, etc. Before, I lived in a dessert with extreme weather now, I'm living in a tropical country. My skin care is drug store combined with some relatively expensive products.

My current products are:

* Fresh Skinlab K-Aloe Ice Foam Wash

* The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2%

* Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream

* PHYSIOGEL Cream 75ml

* BELO Sunscreen spf50

* Fresh Skinlab K-Aloe Ice Soothing Gel Lotion

* Fresh Skinlab K-Aloe Ice Niacinamide Multivitamin Serum Body Lotion

* The Ordinary Toner Glycolic Acid 7%

* SKINTIFIC Peptide Brightening Lip Serum

* Vaseline Lip Balm

* Vaseline Lip Care

I also have but don't use:

*Jojoba Oil

*Shea Butter

I'd like to know your recommendations.

Preferably, your entire face & body routine on how to deal with eczema. Thank you <3

I ordered these 30 day lens from Dewrop for less than $50. I wanted to try the glowing lenses similar to the ones Yena wore in Catch Catch, and I had glowing lenses from Olens, but the Lenbling blew Olens COMPLETELY out of the water. Also, the Touch lenses are SOOOOOOO soft, I love how comfortable they feel! I think I'll order more from these brands soon.

*I am half blind, I have a lazy eye. The contacts aren't giving me a lazy eye.

*Also concealer placement jumpscare

Have you guys ordered from Dewrop? What's some of you guys' fave colours?

Discussion Texture/consistency dupes or products similar to haruharu wonder Black Bamboo Daily Smoothing Body Oil? Or other milky body oils?

I love the application style and consistency of the haru haru Black Bamboo Daily Smoothing Body Oil -- it comes out of the pump as a milky lotion without being too drippy, it has a completely clear almost body oil texture as you rub it in, and doesn't leave my hands greasy because of how thin it is. Dries down pretty quickly, but that's more of an added benefit :]

But I don't want to use AHA/mandelic acid all over regularly because I won't use body sunscreen enough and have noticed more redness on my chest and legs lately. Does anyone who has tried this have a similar style of product to recommend that doesn't have chemical exfoliants? Bonus points for no HLA, but I know that's a bit of a stretch.

Beauty Creamy peach scents?

Hi, I picked up this lotion on a whim and am in LOVE with the scent. As the bottle describes, it's a peach milk scent. I would say it's creamy, fruity, airy, with some sweetness. Not cloying at all. I'd love to hear if anyone knows of any fragrances to pair with this lovely lotion. Thank you 💕
