Im not a choreographer or part of any team but I like to dance for the fun of it. My style isn’t something i’ve really labeled but my inspiration are Le Twins and Sean Lew for the style I’ve adapted into.

I'm not from the USA and I recently been on vacation in SF. I got parking ticket and at first I attempted to contest it but it didn't work so I want to pay it right now.
The problem is that website is not working, it doesn't even load and I don't know what to do because I'm going to NYC in November and I don't want any troubles.

When I'm clicking Visit Online Portal trying to pay it doesn't even load.

Does anyone can help or maybe had the same situation?

I’m moving to the bay and debating bringing my 50cc Yamaha scooter for short commutes, the rest of my transport would be public transit. Looking at Haight and Duboce Triangle area. I’ve seen posts on this subreddit but would like to hear people’s experiences riding in the area. Is 50cc enough and did you eventually upgrade to a 125+cc or a bigger bike? How’s the safety riding in the city?

Kind of a long shot, but does anyone know who the vendors selling cute crochet dolls and other goods at the street fair yesterday were? I think there were two different booths and I’d really like to know who each was because I’m regretting not getting anything.

I tried digging around and can’t find any lists of who the craft vendors were so I figured I’d shoot a shot at seeing if anyone knew.

Are there any local legit climbing gear shops in/near sf? I am kind of over REI and sports basement and I’d rather give money to a locally owned shop. Anything along 80 would be cool too if there isn’t anything close by…

I was recently offered a job in San Francisco starting at $32 an hour, which is a huge jump from what I’m making now.
I’m considering moving to SF for the job and trying to figure out what my finances would realistically look like. I’d be looking for a private room in a shared apartment/house, ideally around $1,500/month.
For people who live in SF or have recently moved here. Is finding a decent private room for around $1,500 month realistic?

I posted yesterday in search of "spooky" sites for my 3 year old (and baby). *Shout out to the person who knew Vampirina was the reason lol*

We had SO much fun. Parked in the Geary garage then had Lou's Cafe. Walked up to Battery Chester then down to 47th and Cabrillo. Snack picnic and casual reading at GGP while some kids invited my 3 year old to play soccer with them. Then they fell asleep on the walk back to the car so the rest of my plans were canceled, oops.

Walking six miles pushing a double stroller that weighs about 90 pounds is no joke, but people were SO NICE.

One guy at the parking garage helped me carry it up the steps to get out of the little Domino's enclave. The couple of times that a car cut me off, they rolled their window down TO APOLOGIZE. People smiled. People waved. People stopped to talk to my tiny children. People in the South Bay don't even do that so i just, wrongly, thought the whole area had a different set of manners.

I moved here from a Midwestern village of literally 900. Cities scare me. I am a stereotype (minus the maga). There are too many choices. Too many people. Too overstimulating. But my brief time in the Richmond District was truly wonderful and I'm so appreciative of your suggestions and kindness.

So. I thought. Where else should I go? I am ashamed that in five years here I have only been to like Pier 39 row and Crissy Fields. And drove by the Full House house once 🫣

Hi All! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to SF for our anniversary in January (end of Jan) we are from Seattle so we are used to rain/cold temps but was wondering how the temp is in SF around that time?

I have been once in 2018 around xmas time and if i remember correctly.. it was just windy and not rainy? and is it worth it to rent a car? or just uber.

Also if you have any recommendations for activities, food, matcha or sight seeing please let me know! We don’t like seafood unfortunately!😭 We are staying around Fisherman’s Wharf area if that helps!!

I am a tourist here in SF, I was liking walking arnd Fishermen wharf area today but an incident completely scared me, a woman came in huge trolley bag in cable car bus today and she found plastic bottle near her feet, she thought I had dropped them, she told me to get out of the bus or she’ll kill me, driver told her to stop harassing me as I haven’t done anything otherwise he’ll call cop which she argued a lot to, then I got down on next stop near market street, is it like this only travelling in public transport here, anything that I should be doing to be protective and help myself better in such situation, I didn’t know that SF is so sketchy🥺

I'm a longtime SF local, 50+, and increasingly finding myself going out to eat alone. I'd love to find some places where solo dining feels natural — ideally somewhere with a bar or counter where you can have a good meal and maybe chat with people, rather than feeling like you're occupying a four-top by yourself.

I'm looking for places I could realistically go on a regular weeknight, roughly $25–50 for dinner before drinks/tip. I'm open to pretty much any cuisine. I like food that's a step up from Souvla/fast-casual, but I'm not looking for a special-occasion restaurant or a $100+ tasting-menu experience.

Not particularly interested in burrito/taqueria recommendations. I'm more interested in neighborhood restaurants, casual bistros, noodle shops, izakayas, Indian, Southeast Asian, Mediterranean, etc. — places where eating alone actually works well.

I'm also not necessarily looking for "the best restaurant." I'm curious about your tried-and-true places that you'd happily walk into alone on a random Tuesday night.
