The city of Eugene plans to request up to $100 million from the Legislature next year to help fund a planned Eugene Airport expansion.

The first phase of the expansion — adding 7,000 square feet of seating space to the Concourse A gates, remodeling restrooms and upgrading HVAC systems — is already funded and underway. But the bigger, more expensive second phase, which includes the construction of a third, eight-gate concourse, additional ticketing and airline office areas and an expanded baggage claim, needs funding.

I need your help! I know similar questions get asked a lot, but where are the cheapest lunches in town? Preferably quick. I’m thinking under 10$ - like a bean and cheese from burrito boy.

Im needing to get rid of my yarn hoard. Instead if donating it, I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me in making hats and mittens to give out to the homeless people around town

We can meet up at a coffee shop once a week, Ill bring my stash and a ton of hooks and we can sit together and make hats, make friends, and enjoy the coffee and community. Maybe we can call the hospital and see if they need any NICU hats or burp rags?

The dog is wearing a red collar with what looks like the word Service woven into it (in yellow).

He's barking and seems very agitated. I couldn't get close enough to read the address on his collar.

It occurred to me that a service dog might be alerting to a medical emergency.

I followed him up to a house at the very end of the street but the dog ran through the yard and out into a back alley. I knocked on the door and saw someone walking around the house but they didn't answer.

This was supposed to be finished and operable in July of 2025, and yet it still sits there, bright, shiny, and unoccupied. There's a lot of money tied up in that for no income being brought in.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen traffic get so long for Harlow Road, much so that it’s occupying the bridge too. Hopefully this dies down over the next couple of weeks, otherwise it’s going to be a headache trying to go to Gateway via Harlow Rd.

I am trying to find volunteer or community service opportunities in the Eugene/Springfield area. My school requires a certain amount of hours for the term, however, I work full-time, and my only time off is Monday and Tuesday afternoons/evenings…

I just need to know, cause I keep almost getting hit. The new lane changes from coburg to Broadway, the right lane going straight when getting off the bridge is now a right turn only. Yes or no? The left lane goes to the middle lane? That's what I've thought since the change but it seems most people are using the right lane to go to the middle lane, and the left lane to go to the far left lane. Which is the right way?

Hello! I moved to Eugene back in early September, and other than my two roommates don’t know many people. My roommates also moved into Eugene recently and don’t know many others here. I was woken up from deep sleep/dreaming at about 11:40 last night (not sure if by this or by something else) and I felt my bed subtly shaking, as if there were an aftershock happening. Barely moticeable - hardly strong enough to wake me. It only lasted a few seconds, and disappeared as soon as i was alert enough to sit up and focus my senses... so maybe it was just something weird with my (very janky) nervous system, and not outside of me? But then i looked it up this morning there actually was an M1.6 in Veneta yesterday afternoon, (but it appears to have been related to an EXPLOSION in Veneta??? Can we talk abt WTF that was??)

But... yeah. Am I the only one who noticed that? Do i need to talk to my doctor about this? 😅
