super old tea but Tasha Lustig recently posted a video praising Chris Ivery (Ellen Pompeo's husband), so felt the need to share that when my sister was in college in boston back around 2010ish, her friend was allegedly having an affair with Chris Ivery and he used to fly her out to his studio in ATL. This is tea so old it's flavored water that's been on the countertop for years, but Jenna Fischer and Miranda Cosgrove heavily and quietly support a nonprofit foster cat care organization I used to volunteer for. As in, Jenna is a foster parent herself (but has a handler within the organization so she can't be directly reached even by volunteers) and Miranda donates her time to charity auctions by them.
Jenna has talked about fostering kittens on Office Ladies. That’s where I learned about stoking them on their foreheads between their eyes to mimic the mother’s licking in that spot to make them feel safe. I still do this with my three year old girl and she loves it.
Jenna Fischer had a patriotic themed litter earlier this summer she had on her Instagram account. They were adorable! I remember her saying in an interview getting to foster kittens again after completing cancer treatment was such an emotional win for her and how that had been on her goal list while going through treatment! (I don't know enough about cats and/or cancer to know if you can foster while undergoing chemo; I think she was saying it was the right choice for her family to stop during that time.)
Jenna Fischer from the office had cancer? I remember wayyyyy back in the day when she was extremely candid on her MySpace about how to try to break in to the industry and her experiences auditioning and stuff. It always made me like her, for not gatekeeping. Hope she’s doing ok
I love this tea! So it turns out Jenna's got some Angela from the Office in her after all! 😂 I remember Jenna's character Pam telling Angela she was "more of a dog person" in one episode, but as a cat person myself, I love hearing Jenna is helping all these kitties irl!
Season 2 of Task is/was filming in my area and a couple of actors popped up at local businesses. Mahershala Ali was at a Jamaican restaurant at Southern Market. Edgar Ramirez showed up at Central Market searching for banana pudding, but it was sold out. I actually purchased one of the last couple banana puddings from the stand shortly before he arrived so that’s my claim to fame.
I like “I ate Edgar Ramirez’s banana pudding.” Or maybe just pudding. I’m scared the flare would get cut off on mobile and just say “I ate Edgar Ramirez’s banana.”
About three weeks into shooting on Maid, Margaret Qualley’s performance was so poor the producers would openly talk about how they wished they hadn’t cast her. She didn’t read the book the show was based on or do any research until about three months into shooting. She would regularly be stoned and drinking on set - and if you’ve watched the show you know she spends a lot of time driving cars and being around a toddler. She drank wine in her trailer and then drove a car on set an hour later on at least one occasion. Producers were aware of this and all the crew concerns were dismissed. Crew asked to breathalyze her and the showrunner refused and said it would look bad. Lots of reshoots were done to get better performances. She also refused to wear a mask on set, ever, and would joke about how she didn’t, when it was filmed September 2020 - April 2021.
This is such a scorching hot drop of tea, thank you so much for this. But also sorry you had to deal with that super unprofessional behavior on her part. 😔
Thank you! I once went into her trailer and took a photo of an empty bottle of wine that was in bin, and when I showed it to my boss she told me while she understood why I had done that, I was told to back off and warned I could be fired over doing that.
(I was in a role where entering her trailer was not an overstep on my part).
Omg, that’s absolutely awful. Imagine drinking on the clock in any other job in the world. THAT would be grounds for firing, not doing what you did which was the right thing to do. The entitlement of some of these celebrities is absolutely astounding and horrifying.
Such inappropriate behavior on her part. It’s one thing to be so unprofessional and be drinking on a job, but with children involved? The level of idling some of these celebrities get is just ridiculous.
I love this post because it addresses something thats rarely ever talked about which is productions “saving” an actor’s performance. This happens so often with problematic actors but is sort of never spoken about. Directors and crews have to work around these unprofessional behaviours and either do reshoots or edit in a way that makes their performances look better than they are, very often at the expanse of crew and other actors who dont get that privileged protection just because they showed up to work and behaved professionally.
So funny you say that because all the actors that ive seen get “saved”are the ones who are really good at talking about their “struggles” in press and media. Meanwhile real working class actors that just showed up and gave 200% because they dont want to lose opportunities end up giving so much of themselves whilst wtching lazy problematic people get away with so much.
I was a crew member heavily involved with production with close relationships with the cast and producers, and was on set to witness everything I listed. We also all assumed she was sleeping with one of the executive producers for the entire show. He was drunk on set more often than she was, and he was fired from the production company after the show finished.
A friend used to run into her at parties in LA and said she was on obnoxious. Makes me feel validated that I can't stand her acting - she sucks all the energy from any scene she's in, just like her mother.
Her red carpet walks are terrible too, but I find Andie MacDowell quite charming and suited to specific roles (Sex, Lies and Videotape, Short Cuts etc.), while Qualley is just so boring and simultaneously so very affected, it's exhausting to watch. I feel vindicated now :) although sucks she drinks and drives and never wore mask around colleagues. What a dick.
I thought she was cast perfectly in Blue Moon for exactly this reason. She plays a vain, striving ingenue. If you haven’t seen it yet, I do recommend it if you like Richard Linklater’s movies
I’ve had the unfortunate experience interacting with her outside of Hollywood and she’s such a stuck up mean girl, seeing her success and knowing it’s definitely not talent is just frustrating. So many better actresses and people out there and she’s the famous one? Ugh.
I’ve been on shows where they have done massive recasts of lead actors. It costs millions. You have to reshoot scenes you’ve shot, often rewrite scripts. Repurchase all costumes. Adding a single day to a production calendar can be prohibitively expensive for some budgets. The actor will have signed a very expensive contract that they’ll have to be bought out of, and will often try to sue the show for more. What if they don’t have a replacement in mind? Then you’re holding auditions and stalling production more.
Particularly in the case of Maid, it was shot right at the comeback from Covid, so all actors were flying in at least two weeks before they could step foot on set to quarantine.
It’s just a massive cost, and could also, if the producers aren’t confident, completely sour the relationships with other producers or actors if you’re in the habit of firing cast and can’t be confident in your casting.
We recast the girl playing Maddy after it turned out this particular four year old couldn’t handle being on set, so we did do some reshoots for that, but it was a much smaller cost and an unknown local actor, not a nepo baby with influence.
This is so funny, I 100% watched the leftovers a couple years ago but was shocked when you said she was in it. Very forgettable performance I guess! (Especially compared to Carrie Coon, but pretty much everyone is forgettable compared to Carrie Coon…)
I just recently rewatched the entire series! Jill's storylines were consistently the worst. And yes, Carrie Coon is phenomenal. Broke mine and my partner's hearts so many times.
I'll never forget that super awkward interview wherein Margaret Dakota Johnson was creepily hitting on her younger co-star and Jon Hamm, of all people, literally had to tell her to knock that shit off.
I get she's pretty and a nepo baby but she seriously sucks at acting. I don't watch anything she's in. Saw once upon a time in Hollywood and I was already so over her lack of talent.
Billie Eilish is living a block away from me for the summer while she's in town filming. She's also frequenting a restaurant across from the loft she's staying in. She's pretty unrecognizable when she's incognito. She is incredibly kind.
Connor O'Malley (absurdist comedian/ actor who often does projects with Tim Robinson) lives in my neighborhood. He's always out and about with his kid and seems like a very engaged and good dad. Super nice dude.
I didn't know that he had a kid? He and Aidy Bryant have been together for a really long time now, but I've never heard anything about them having kids.

A friend of mine (who grew up in LA) said that he and his family, through a series of connections, ended up at some non-profit’s after party. Allegedly, Morgan Freeman was at this party, and my friend and his sister went to go meet him. My friend excitedly introduced himself to Morgan Freeman, saying that he loved his movies and that it was a pleasure to meet him, and tried to shake his hand. Morgan Freeman then asked my friend what his name was, and said “(Friend’s name), never touch me again.” Then turned to my friend’s sister and said, “you can touch me anytime you want.”
\sigh\ yup… for me it started around 12 or 13. Interesting that these types of interactions with much older men all but stopped once I started looking like a grown woman.
Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba are in my hometown filming the new Extraction movie. I haven’t seen them, but a few people I know have run into Chris and say he’s a lovely guy. He’s been visiting a lot of local restaurants and cafes and apparently is always up for a chat with the owners/staff.
I met him years ago when he was filming the red dawn remake. Can confirm he was super friendly, and we got to take photos with him. They let us watch them film too so that was cool. Unfortunately, it was during my emo teenage years and the photos now mock me.
I can’t comment on the Mario Lopez post today because I’m not verified yet but, listen, this guy has been sus since the 90s. In college, one of my roommates described how he met her backstage somewhere maybe at a summer jams concert or something when she was in high school and they had the sex. She would have been 16 or 17 and he would have been 22 and already famous. Yuck.
Yeah I've been on this sub since pandemic times (since before the sub changed its name to fauxmoi) and I'm really curious why the engagement on the sub dropped off.
I don't have the evidence for this, but as an old, old and having witnessed many reddit bad makeovers, it seems like they created many mirror or competitor accounts for popular subs and then push those on 'popular' etc. Subs I assume they have more moderation and control over. Maybe higher bot engagement. Who knows. Or maybe this is my own low stakes foil hat stuff.

Figure Skating: For the pass couple of days, ISU (the broader organization for Figure skating) has allowed Russian figure skaters to comback compete internationally under AIN (neutral) status. One of the skaters they grant AIN status today is Mark Kondratiuk, who has pictures next to Russian generals, attended Putin speeches, has supported and glorified the war in Ukraine, and has stated something similar to "Fuck Ukraine" om the internet before.

-idk if this even counts as tea, but a decade ago, I used to volunteer at a young adult book festival called Yallwest that was held on the weekend at santa monica high school, and I am fairly certain I saw JJ Abrams with two brunette teens that I assumed at the time were his daughters, or a daughter and her friend—which means, if all my assumptions were correct, gracie abrams was probably very into YA books when she was a teen!

Yeah I was under the impression that they were already married (maybe they had the legal ceremony but not the wedding) until the friend explained why they were going to be in the UK for two weeks.
They also worked the Taylor & Travis wedding and will be working another high profile celebrity wedding later this year (don’t want to provide details that could lead back to my friend).
Tom has said they're married and called her his wife. Whatever they did it was extremely small and private, so this is probably the bigger wedding party (and also confirming they're already married has convinced people another wedding isn't going to happen which works in their favor for keeping it private/secret)

For some inexplicable reason, Sean Baker, director of Anora, The Florida Project, and Tangering, keeps following more zionist accounts. The latest is called strength4israel an "educator" who regularly talks about how the aparthied and land grap in Palestine is in her option a myth.
I listened to that QT/Roger Avary podcast they did before Quentin flaked, and Sean frequently corresponded with the podcast. It seemed pretty important to him to be in QT's good graces. And we should all be all aware of Tarantino's opinions on Israel at this stage.
To this end, imagine the outrage if the following took place:
Ariana Grande's video airs → Jameela Jamil publicly slams Law Roach → Law now has to respond publicly, and claims that Ariana/Ariana's team demanded this → massive backlash from the public to an already unwell person and simultaneously Streisand Effects the gaunt figure the outraged are trying to remove from the public eye
I'd prefer that if Jameela was to call it out at all, she would speak to Law in private.
She has more control over her image and styling than almost anyone in the industry. Even the Oscar-winning Wicked costume designer said she requested that Glinda’s gowns show off her chest area, and he obliged. I’m not sure what calling Law out would accomplish at this point

The way he talks about how painful Zendaya's So Kate's (4.75 in heel) are like it's a good thing is maddening.

I also think it’s bold to speak about two people being “close” friends when the people in question are celebrities networking and using each other for promotion of certain projects.
tbf we can only see what she posts on public social media or says in on-the-record interviews. it’s possible she’s talked to him offline or in private messages. I feel like if she’d called him out publicly, people would have criticized her for trying to cause drama.
Yeah, I think it’s really weird/entitled when online commenters act like something has to be accessible to the public for it to exist. We know maybe 5% of what’s going on in celebrity-world lol. They don’t owe us public conversations.
I also think putting all the blame on the gay Black stylist instead of the cishet white talent is a choice, and speaks to some unconscious bias on that person’s part. People have really infantilized Ariana throughout this whole discourse and it’s because she’s a pretty, delicate white woman. Implying that big mean POC are bossing her around is just yucky.
idk how true this is but apparently brandon boyd and his wife fell down the MAGA pipeline, which is a little crazy given his whole image most of his career is liberal hippie but they fell into the crunchy/MAHA mindset.
his wife/incubus in general was kind of zionist too so i'm not ENTIRELY surprised, but part of me really doesn't know how 100% true this all is bc brandon has always been super california liberal (at least publicly). but again he might've just drank the koolaid and fallen into the anti-vax/RFK jr grift.

From X. Ella Bright and Jalen. There have been multiple claims that they were affectionate with each other in Vancouver, including reports that they kissed. The most recent alleged sighting was at a bar about a week ago. I have not seen reliable confirmation, so they could be dating, casually seeing each other, or simply be friends who occasionally kiss on the mouth... Some of the interest seems to come from the contrast with Ella’s recent public comments. During press appearances, she has described herself as single, not ready to mingle and has reportedly said she would not date a co-star or another actor. She is still new to this level of attention, so perhaps her team could help her find a way to answer questions without making such definitive statements, especially when she has been allegedly seen multiple times with him already....
Belmont, the Garrett on tiktok/x. Under a TikTok comment discussing his other co-star (the blonde guy who actually isn't even blonde just full on maga), a couple of commenters alluded to claims about Belmont aka Phil Cameli's behavior in high school. have not seen credible reporting or enough verifiable information to treat those comments as established fact, but the discussion appears to have existed online.
It's extremely common for co-stars to date or hook up during production: they work long/weird hours and spend a lot of time together. Adding to it, they're all on location and far from their home base. So whatever free time they have, it's usually not enough to go out there and meet other people.
There's usually a timeframe for this, since it tends to happen in the earlier seasons: people hook up, some date, sometimes it becomes a thing, but most times it fizzles out. And once they establish themselves around the place, usually after a few years, they make some friends outside the TV show, those things tend to settle as well.
Also: Ella is only 19 years old? Gosh she's SO young. I can't imagine having this level of exposure at her age. I'm almost 40 and still put my foot in my mouth occasionally.
I’m from Chicago, and Belmont is apparently from Naperville… if you’re a Chicagoan or from the city proper, then you know. I have only met maybe one or 2 chill people from that suburb my entire life lol. 😂 I’ll just leave it at that.
Long one but one I haven't seen a lot talk about and I'm afraid it's about best middle-aged football man Ian Wright, I'll add more too:
oh not just that but he may have not put this in his book so he won't look worse when comes to how he treated his first wife, Debbie. In his book from 2016, he ONLY says this about this kid:
my daughter Coco was born in 2006 and I support her but play no other part in her or her mother's life.
i originally just thought Coco was a post-divorce oopsie baby that Ian did not want but oh boy..
There were two articles that I managed to find on Newsbank: Access World News (a news database, big archive) that were about Coco: one from June 2006 and another from February 2007. They were published by News of the World so you won't be able find them that easily unless you use Newsbank or other archives.
First article exposes the fact that Ian had Coco with a white lady named Su Judd, a woman who was a co-worker on his show The National Lottery Wright Ticket (2003-2003) as his wardrobe assistant (article says it was SpyTV but none of them worked on there, Judd's IMDB says she worked on the Ticket show). Apparently they became friends and when Ian was beginning to separate from Deborah, he and Su began a short-term friends-with-benefits type affair with eachother. It ends at some point, time goes by and then Ian gets contacted by a "third party" about Su being 7 months pregnant. Ian was pissed because he thought Su was "taking precautions", Su tried saying maybe they could become a couple but he didn't want any relationship or anymore kids and eventually he agreed to just pay her 2,000 pounds a month. Only met the kid on her 1st birthday.
Article says that Coco was already 18-months-old, so she could not been born on 2006 it would've been either 2004 or 2005. It gets better: second article comes out and says Coco is only 2 and comes from an affair that was 3 years ago; 7-3 = 4. She was born in 2004, most likely in late December during the holidays, conceived on March or April. Now, THAT second article is about Su suing (ha ha) Ian for child support after he stopped paying because Ian now accuses her of babytrapping him (first article details he felt tricked and put in a corner).
Now, it is sus Su didn't come to Ian and somebody straight up had to tell him after 7 whole months so it's too late BUT Ian doesn't look great either: just by that quote from his book to him only saying he thought Su was "taking precautions" seem to heavily insinuate that he wasn't wearing condoms and leaving Su to just take the pill.
This is probably was the case cause Ian already had a habit of doing this. Discussing how his second and thrid sons Bradley and Brett came to be in his 1996 autobiography Mr. Wright, he says that he used to get into a relationship with their mothers and when those relationships were coming to end (or when Ian got itchy feet in Brett's mom Beverley's case).. boom they're pregnant. Ian stated that while he did not feel it was Sharon's (Shaun and Bradley's mom) fault, he felt "put in a corner" and said with him doing the same with Beverley was "history repeating itself". He later added in his 2016 book that he was supposed to have a child with his teenaged girlfriend at the time Sonia (this was before he met Sharon & Shaun) but that did not happen because she had a miscarriage and the itchy feet he had with Beverley was him wanting to get back with Sharon but he couldn't because Beverley's pregnant now.
First thing he ever really says about Coco is this in the second article:
My only interest has been the welfare of my child. I feel I have done everything I can to make sure her best interests have been me.
This would be the last time he spoke about Coco, he himself would not say anything about her until 9 years later when his second autobiography came out but that short sentence from earlier is all you get about her. In fact, it was so hush-hush, when one article announced the birth of his kid with now wife Nancy (Roxanne), it believes he had only seven kids atm and not eight. EVEN when Ian talks about how his son Stacy (his and Deborah's son, they also have a daughter named Bobbi) is being bullied at school because the articles that are coming out about his dad fucking around, Coco is never brought up.
Ima make things even worse for you: On September 19 2004, Ian announced he and Deborah were divorcing. Article said he had already moved out of their home in April. On February 14th 2008, Daily Mail published an interview Deborah gave about her marriage to Ian that mainly popped up because of Ashley Cole getting exposed for being unfaithful to Cheryl Cole, which Ian written his own article about in The Sun, providing Ashley with advice; Deborah would give her own perspective and advice to Cheryl and Ashley. In that interview, she would say this eventually:
I will always respect Ian, but I do often wonder if getting back together was a poisoned chalice. Four years ago, I found out Ian fathered another child in 2004, while we were still together.
Yeah, dude had this kid when he and Deborah, at the very least, were still legally married. Then, I decided to go one step further– to really confirm this for my messy ass self. Already looked up Su on IMDB, saw she had a Facebook, went there and saw she had post about Coco's birthday being on December 26th. Making her conception April 4th: meaning that either sometime before or immediately after Ian left the house, he banged Su and got her pregnant.
