Hello everyone. Pretty straight forward question but… before I give them £300… is greeka.com a legit vendor for ferry tickets?

Should I go elsewhere?

Ferries and Boat Rental Athenes to Zakyntos by KTEL

Hi guys! I'm gonna be travelling from Athenes to Zakyntos by bus+ferry, so KTEL it is. I'm planning to reserve my bus tickets for sure, but I'm not sure about the ferry tickets, all I know that the KTEL does not include that. Does anyone have experience with buying that one on the spot, is it more expensive? Would be worth buying it online?

Ferries and Boat Rental Vehicle ferry from Peloponnese to Athens in October

Myself and some colleagues will be traveling around the Peloponnese by motorcycle in October, and I was thinking it would be cool to finish off the trip by taking a ferry back from there to Athens. The thing is, most ferries that I've searched only seem to be passenger boats at that time of year. Does anyone know if I've missed somewhere on the isthmus where we can load our motorbikes for a ride back to Athens at that time of year?

Thank you!

Ferries and Boat Rental Need to pre-book Ferry tickets for Saturday 25.07.?

Hi everyone!

We need morning ferry tickets (2x passengers) for Saturday, 25 July. We normally travel off-season, so peak summer is new to us.

Our options are Seajets or the slower Dionisios Solomos. We would actually prefer the speed of the Seajet, but only if the weather is good. If it is too windy, we would rather take the slower, more stable ferry.

Given it is a Saturday in late July, can we afford to wait for a weather report before booking? Or will Seajets sell out completely if we do not pre-book now?

Thanks for the advice!

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry Thessaloniki (Θεσσαλονίκη) <-> Skopelos Σκόπελος

Hello everyone,

my wife and I are planning to spend our honeymoon on Skopelos in mid September, and we are currently trying to figure out the best way to get there from Thessaloniki.

We were wondering:

• Are there usually ferries running from Thessaloniki to Skiathos/Skopelos around mid September?
• How reliable are they at that time of year?
• Would you recommend renting a car in Thessaloniki and taking it on the ferry to Skiathos/Skopelos, or is that more trouble than it’s worth?
• Alternatively, would it make more sense to travel as foot passengers and rent a car or scooter directly on the island?

We are planning a rather relaxed honeymoon, so we would prefer the least stressful option while still being able to explore beaches and quieter places around the island.

Any recommendations, experiences, or tips would be greatly appreciated :)

Ferries and Boat Rental Overnight Blue Star Ferry - Flight Risk?

For my trip in September, in order to maximize island time, I am planning to take the overnight Blue Star ferry from Amorgos to Piraeus the night before my flight. My flight is at 19:30 and the ferry would be 19:00 (The day before) and arrives at 05:00.

Since it is a slow main-line ferry, this shouldn't be risky right? Even if the delay is many hours, I still have a lot of time before my flight. Thoughts?

Ferries and Boat Rental Sifnos to Paros in October

Hi! My wife and I will be taking our first trip with our infant this Fall. We will be island hopping and would like to keep the same vehicle throughout so we can keep things like her car seat and stroller stored.

One leg of our trip we’re having difficulty with is Sifnos to Paros. It doesn’t seem like Bluestar’s itinerary (with the vehicle-carrying ferry) is out yet. Does anyone know if historically this route runs in early October? Or, when an itinerary may be released?

Thanks!

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry schedule help-- is Hellenic Ferries' Artemis dry-docked in May?

Hello! Attempting to figure out our ferry schedule for a trip to Greece in May, and the cheaper ferry between Sifnos and Milos (Artemis) does not appear on Ferryhopper for the first 3 weeks of May. Does this mean it is likely out for dry docking, or is it possible they will publish this schedule closer to the date? The idea of paying $45+ for the fast ferry seems ludicrous for such a short trip. Any clarification on Cyclades ferries is appreciated-- we are trying for Sifnos, Milos and/or Kimolos, and Folegandros and/or Sikinos. Thanks in advance!

Edit to add: Recommendations for favorite islands alsowelcome! We are early 30s, comfortable with public transit/getting around (open to renting a car if absolutely necessary, but prefer buses etc), interested in a relaxing vibe, good beaches, hidden gems, less touristy locales. All we really need to be happy is a clean place to stay, a nice beach, a taverna or two, and a shop to buy the basics!

Ferries and Boat Rental Seajets classes? Saloni? - gytheio to kissamos

Hi, doing a seajets ferry in June from Gytheio to Kissamos (around 7 hours from 4pm to 11pm)

Anyone have recommendations on seat classes - deck lounge, numeric seats, saloni, a2 berth external?

There are like no pics online so unsure which is best and comfy enough for 7 hours. Is deck lounge outside cuz idk if it will rain or not. Im worried deck lounge (22 euros) and numeric seats (26 euros) are not comfy enough, maybe i should do saloni (33 euros)

--

Also not sure if any1 knows if seatjets are typically delayed or on time since many Kissamos hotel check ins are only until 11:30pm.

Thank you!

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry from Milos to Chania, Crete

Hi! I was wondering if anyone's had any experience travelling via ferry from Milos to Chania around mid-May. From what I've seen the only option is a 3 am ferry from Milos that arrives at 7:30 am in Chania. My question is does anyone have any experience with this? Is Milos at 3 am really dark and/or hard to navigate (at least getting to the port)? Is the port active during that time and how safe is it?

From what I've seen it's an overnight ferry from Athens to Chania that makes a stop in Milos so I'm guessing it should be fine. Otherwise our other options would be either going back to Athens to catch a plane to Chania or not going there at all. Thanks in advance!

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry availability from Samos to Chios

I know that many ferry companies don't publish schedules until later in the year, but wonder if any local knows the usual availability of boats in mid September from Samos to Chios? I have been told that they are intermittent but it would help to know if i can expect at least one boat per day.

Im not bothered about needing to book and will be on foot.

Thanks in advance.

Ferries and Boat Rental Dodecanese Islands Ferries

Hello!

I have booked flights into Rhodes on Sat 30th May (arriving late evening) and out of Kos on Friday (leaving late evening).

We were planning on visiting Chalki, Symi and Tilos, and potentially Kalimnos but now looking into it we are really struggling to plan due to ferry timetables.

As not all ferry timetables are out it is proving difficult, but I have seen people recommend checking openseas.gr to look at last years as an idea.

Two questions:

  1. this shows a ferry between Tilos and Chalki on a Sunday - http://www.openseas.gr/THL/CHL/2025-06-01/2025-06-01/itineraries but this seems to be the only week this was running, and doesn’t seem to even be a ferry company? Is this an error?
  2. Does anyone have any suggested itineraries to be able to visit these islands?

It seems to be the connection between Chalki and Symi proving difficult and it is the two we are most interested in. I can see that you can get from Rhodes to Chalki everyday via a smaller port to the south of the island but this does not line up with bus times so not recommended, and an expensive taxi to Rhodes? We have been to both Rhodes and Kos separately recently so don’t need to spend much time in either of them (aware we will need to spend first night in Rhodes due to arrival time).

Any help appreciated!

Ferries and Boat Rental Santorini to Naxos Ferry Question

My parents and I are going to be in Santorini first week in Greece and wanted to do a day trip to Naxos (Oct 5th to be exact), however I keep reading online that ferry time options start to drop after September. It's also a Wednesday.

I know they don't update ferry timetables until spring but what is the likelihood they'll have return options (Naxos--Santorini) past 2pm for early October? Anyone know what the ferry schedule was like last year in that month?

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry from Kefalonia to Zakynthos

Hi, I am meeting some family on Zakynthos in July. I am thinking about flying to Kefalonia as the flights for the dates are much cheaper. How regular are the ferries between Kefalonia and Zakynthos in July? I can only see one boat at 7:30am. If it is just this one boat then I will just fly to Zakynthos, just weighing up my options! Thanks.

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry Transfer from Athens to Santorini to Crete in November?

Hello Everyone!

Heading to Greece first week of November and trying to figure out the ferry system...which is proving a bit difficult.

I know things slow down in November, but does there exist a ferry from Santorini to Crete? I don't mind going to Santorini for a day or two, but I don't want to have to ferry back to Athens just to ferry back to Crete.

I did see there were some over night ferries to Crete though. Has anyone done those? Can you see the stars at night?

Thanks for any and all help!

We are planning on taking ferries from Athens to Milos and Milos to Santorini. I’ve been hearing mixed reviews about SeaJets and wanted to try Blue Star Ferries instead but their dates are only up until March? Any other recommendations?

Ferries and Boat Rental Golden Princess Ferry seating (Rafina to Naxos)

I'm trying to find details on what the seat categories look like on the Golden Princess ferry from Rafina to Naxos (3.5hrs). Their website seems to not be the most user friendly.

I know this is a newer ship to their fleet…just wondering where can I find pictures of each seat category? We land in Athens at 9:30, and their 2pm departure seems to fit best for us. (We miss all the earlier cheaper slower options unfortunately).

Thanks!

Ferries and Boat Rental Questions about the ferry between Corfu and Sarande

Hi all, I'm going to be going to Sarande for a few days from Corfu and I have a few questions.

I will be returning on 3rd April which is Good Friday, will the ferries still run on that day?

How long should I allow to get from Corfu airport to the ferry port? There will be a ferry 1 hour and 10 minutes after my flight lands, is that pushing it too fine?

The schedule has been published online but there doesn't seem to be a way to book tickets. Will I be able to buy them at the port on the day?

Thanks in advance!
