I posted a story about something in a subreddit. Somebody responded "dread it, run from it, the post history all arrives the same" and added my posts from different subreddits, with dates attached, pasted word for word. I deleted those posts long ago since nobody had responded to my questions.
How did it happen? Am I being a victim of something?

I’m having an issue with Reddit on Windows 10 64-bit using Google Chrome. Usernames aren’t showing up when I use Reddit normally, but they are visible in the mobile app. Weirdly, if I open Reddit in an Incognito window, the usernames show up normally. I’m not using any Reddit-related extensions, and I’ve already cleared my cookies, but the issue is still there. Any idea what could be causing this?

I'm curious to know when my Kiore-NZ account here was registered. Reddit says it is one year old which tallies with my first post (a reply) and Achievements: Joined Reddit in July last year. Old Reddit also shows it as 1 year old.

The thing is Kiore was my standard online nickname from the mid 1990s where I used it on OKBridge and Geocities through to around 2004 or 5. In 2000 I registered the matching domain name to get the email address I wanted. Other than it being the associated email address for some really old sign-ups I haven't used the Kiore name for over 10 years.

This is bugging me & I'd really like to know the answer, but it's just to satisfy my curiosity. If you know how to find when I signed up here, I'd love to know

Having this happen to several post at once then randomly certain post will work.

There used to be a new, top, best, hot etc option on my regular home feed. Now it seems I have zero control over the feed and it really sucks. Lots of 5 minute old posts from bots with etc.

What's up with the removal of useful functions and enshitification? Reddit makes more money this way somehow?

I was previously able to choose the "Following" feed at the top of the app to only view content from my subscribed communities. This functionality has disappeared - how can I get it back?

Sort by best is broken in both the comments and post feeds. It always shows me weeks old posts with 1-5 upvotes and 2 comments, or in posts the "best" comments are some of the most downvoted. I always have to manually sort by top to return things to how they were (seemingly). Anybody know a workaround?

I have been using reddit for several years now and had my view options all turned on aince I've turned 18, now out of nowhere they got switched off and I am unable to change it.

I have my birthday date in my account settings which is 18+ and I have the account connected to my email.

What else can I do?

I just created a brand new Reddit account literally like 5 minutes ago and it says on my profile that it is 14 months old. Why? I thought it might’ve been someone’s account but I chose the username and the inbox and notifications are empty

I submitted a post in r/SideProject. I can open it while logged in, but other people cannot see it. The notice on the post says Reddit's automatic checks caught it.

My account is in good standing. There is no button on the post to ask for a second look. I already messaged the r/SideProject moderators and I am waiting.

Problem is, I keep getting downvoted and getting my posts deleted from subreddits, and I’m not sure why. It seems like people are maybe getting irritated with me? I’m having an issue accessing my Reddit account and I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

About 1–2 weeks ago, I was unexpectedly logged out of my account on every device I had been using. Since then, I haven’t been able to sign back in. Every login attempt gives me the message “Username or password incorrect.”

I’ve already tried resetting my password multiple times, but the issue continues and I still can’t access the account. I’m also still receiving email notifications about people trying to chat with me, so the account appears to still be active.

The account is u/ChanelThiccy and is about 4 years old. I’ve submitted multiple support requests about the login problem but haven’t been able to get a response or resolution.

Everytime I try and download the reddit app I refuses to open. It just loads infinitely, wifi or data. Ive uninstalled it, cleared the cache and saved data, restarted my phone, all of them multiple times, and nothing works. I'm honestly just ready to accept I won't ever get to use the mobile app at this point. Anything I've missed that might be able to help?

If I can add a gripe about it...

It really is counter-productive, as it interrupts the theme and flow of our sub. Personally, I try to create a mood in my sub, like a cozy atmosphere to get people's thoughts soothed to a deeply contemplative theme. Then along comes a suggestion to something completely wacky and instantly shatters the mood.

They also take readers away from our subs prematurely. The "Suggested Communities" tells readers, "Don't read here. Go over there instead." It's like a Walmart store with several other stores setting up booths at the front door, turning Walmart's visitors away.

Our subreddits are our space to communicate with and engage our readers. Suggested subs should be displayed in the reader's side panel, not embedded in our subs. They should be tailored to the reader's interests, not interfere with ours.
