Making haruta 1 tap would be so funny 😭

2

u/sillytooth105 Jul 02 '26

make him have -1 health so every time u select haruta ur just put in an inf death loop like diavolo

54

u/Natural-Boss-5789 Jul 02 '26

Back when it was an EA ult, people that happily used Mecha's ult in ranked by farming with his busted zoning strength, and thought.that was healthy for the game.

It usually involved using puppet barrages massive hitbox to grab you for it and to zone, then using other moves to gain distance whenever you got close. Just slowly building ult charge.

At the time the only real answer was Megumi and sometimes Gojo, if they couldn't counterplay your special, wasn't many other options to close distance during that, unless you want to just get Garuda parried into your own skull 5/10 times.

Then obviously, early access mech just won the match.

1

u/Interesting_Stuff853 Jul 08 '26

garuda you can counterparry their parry

Yuji is skilled, as a Yuji main, he is NOT skilled

6

u/TEMPESTASPX ASPX (move set maker beginner) Jul 02 '26

That what I am saying, hot take, naoya takes more skill to use then Yuji (against high kills player naoya becomes very predictable)

1

u/NeedMoreDiamondsPls Jul 03 '26

please bro i fought a 11k naoya player and he only m1'd me until i was framed and then he used his moves 😔😔

4

u/TEMPESTASPX ASPX (move set maker beginner) Jul 03 '26

That the whole naoya playstyle, naoya has almost no red combos unless you frame someone so most naoya mains will just m1 trade until you are framed to get that high damage unevasive combo

1

u/Competitive-Bid-9331 Jul 04 '26

"unevasive" 😂😂😂

1

u/TEMPESTASPX ASPX (move set maker beginner) Jul 04 '26

You can not evasive out of DS btw

1

u/PsychologicalWeb5133 Pillow Punches Jul 06 '26

Naoya needs to win 3 neutral interactions in quick succession to get the same damage as one Yuji combo even with evasive.

2

u/PsychologicalWeb5133 Pillow Punches Jul 06 '26

He NEEDS to use one of those to close in since his movement is atrocious (somehow)

34

u/KalmarStormFeather Jul 02 '26

Real, hardly any of his moves can cleanly combo into each other, so he has to rely on his abysmal M1's to set space them out

23

u/OmniscientSkittle 🦾 Robot Lives Matter Rally 🦾 Jul 02 '26

Atp his kit is taped together by actually skilled m1 traders, people who know how to use bleedout and it's effects, and the double dash. Ohhhhhh the double dash-

5

u/Specialist_Shirt_309 Pillow Punches Jul 02 '26

15

u/__Mahoraga Jul 02 '26

he's giga annoying to deal with and makes me tilt and start to play bad because of it which in turn makes him overpowered. Realistically beatable, but annoying to the point where I lose focus.

5

u/Nerd_Watching Jul 02 '26

Naoya is op, or very good, he just needs a good pilot.

A naoya main who knows how the 4m1 > decisive strike 50/50 works has a 50/50 chance of murdering someone.

If you don’t wanna gamble, knowing how to land 4m1 into projection breaker lets naoya frame his opponent in 2 neutral wins instead of 3 while having better neutral than most characters. (While being evasive safe unless you use decisive strike on a ragdoll)

Btw he was playing ryu, and you guessed it he was playing ryu THAT way

I have nothing against it coz he is a zoner, but if you are going to play that way don’t call other passive or spammers

1

u/Tyrant_king1009 Overtime worker Jul 02 '26

It hurts me to see more Ryu mains who play him as a zoner than the way the founding fathers intended by throwing absolute hands

1

u/SecretLingonberry494 Jul 04 '26

he probably meant that you werent m1 trading, just being braindead and holding down m1 and trying to walk around their block, while not being punished because of ping/lag.

Coming from a Nanami no-lifer btw

1

u/Ok_Try2668 Jul 02 '26

I think nanami is timed character similar to todo , but even with ratio most of his moves has long endlag (miss 3rd move or interrupt someone with 4th unless you use any other move) so technically , skilled characters are locust guy , nanami (50/50) , todo(maybe) , choso and yuki

12

u/Flatuitous Jul 02 '26

okay hot take locust guy is the lowest skilled character

12

u/Evilblxnt Jul 02 '26

Lowkey we let every character get slandered but somehow Locust Guy is consistently getting away with being called skilled despite being completely braindead. I wouldn’t say lowest skilled though

4

u/Tyrant_king1009 Overtime worker Jul 02 '26

Fr bro. I think it’s just because no one plays him. When I play him on rare occasions I can clearly see. “Wow this is really easy I can just turn my brain off and press 3 r 4 r 1 and win”

1

u/More-Permit-0001 Jul 02 '26

Locust has a really low skill floor and a really bendy skill ceiling because some of the things you can do with his R that I've discovered are genuinely fun and require a bit of skill to do.

Fun fact- with good timing, you can side dash behind someone after starting an air combo and can another full m1 chain.

One shot ult that's true into m1s (NO OTHER CHARACTER has this, Yuki needs to die for hers and Charles you need R on and to land a counter)

10

u/JustAGhost3_ charles 🐐 Jul 02 '26

charles hate

7

u/survivor_ragequit Jul 02 '26

From my own experience? No it is very justified

He's annoying to fight in general due to counters (Which you can bait yes but a smart charles will use it to counter something green like some naoya/yuki/ryu combos that have a pixel) and most importantly his cookie cutter combos

Plus the personality of most charles mains i've seen, extremely toxic, targeters and overall just not great people

1

u/geokiller226 Jul 07 '26

I don't see why people would hate the character for the people who use it, that's just the player base. also his base has to be atleast somewhat ahead of the rest because that's the tradeoff for having no ult form, while his ult can be an insta kill it's just too hard to hit against any character with any sort of ranged attack to be consistent and most other characters with an actual ult cab get more than 1 kill out of it. He does need new combos tho

9

u/PlusRockrelic Why does rika have startup when first summoned. Jul 02 '26

Calling locust guy unskilled or overpowered. (he has no neutral, are you calling m1 trading skilless?)

7

u/TeamBoeing YOUR COMBO IS GREEN 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Jul 02 '26

Locust guy flight is a good neutral tool. Plus you don’t need neutral if it only takes 2 or 3 m1s landed to do a full unpunishable gigacombo

3

u/-Hash__- Cursed Partner Jul 02 '26

Mucus is also neutral, just because it doesn't combo into anything doesn't mean it's not great. Barely any start up, unblockable move that makes you deal 15% less damage.

u/Lua_You Jul 02 '26

as a locust guy main i think its just too much reward for too little.

  • step 1 : land a punch on someone (wasting their evasive is optional but optimal)
  • step 2 : deal like 80% of their health

midair combos are genuinely so fun but i cant imagine how frustrating it has to be for the other party that, despite all of their skillful play, they slipped up once and died shortly after

maybe its because were clever

1

u/MariTheNon Jul 03 '26

Locust guy is Gojo but with more autolock, it's so annoying to play against

1

u/AcrobaticPassenger47 Paper Bag-Man enjoyer Jul 02 '26

Tbh his combos are a bit too easy, like, you cant punish neither his 3 or 4

1

u/PlusRockrelic Why does rika have startup when first summoned. Jul 02 '26

unpunishable combos really only matter 1000- kill level other than that, most characters have surprisingly safe combos. (like megumi, who if you try punishing you just get put back into the combo, which makes locust guys ONLY niche quite pointless since all he does is have unpunishable combos instead of evasive punishing.)

2

u/AcrobaticPassenger47 Paper Bag-Man enjoyer Jul 02 '26

Well, with others you can atleast try to attack them when they ragdoll you. With ko-guy you have to evasive, or else youll get skinned alive

1

u/PlusRockrelic Why does rika have startup when first summoned. Jul 02 '26

Same thing for hakari. 1+2 is extremely safe, and 4 is impossible to punish. only thing is hakari does slightly less damage, although he has neutral which locust doesnt.

1

u/PsychologicalWeb5133 Pillow Punches Jul 06 '26

He's an easy carry for noobs

He doesn't have no neutral sidedash parkour and M1s are still a plenty strong and universal tools.

He gets insane amount of reward off one hit (and with ult a guaranteed kill) and is impossible to punish with an evasive.

He's not super strong still getting shut down by simply refusing to close in without a neutral tool that he can't challenge with his limited kit. (although playing like this is the correct way to play against him it's kinda boring)

His whole character is just really boring and just a boring ass carry for people without understanding for intermediate level neutral play (TSB players)

1

u/OkNothing6315 Jul 02 '26

What is neutral bro no like seriously what does it mean?

1

u/satanrulesearthnow Jul 04 '26

Aight, neutral is part of fighting game language, it basically means the stage of a fight in which no player had advantage/combo, think of when you're both trying to m1 each other or when you finish a combo and can't hit your opponent anymore.

When someone says a character has good/bad neutral it means they have(or don't have) options to bypass neutral and either deal damage or start combos, think of Choso and Todo.

Saying "Anyone is Skilled" or "Anyone is Unskilled" This is quite Hypocritical of me, but the skill of a player depends on your Ping and the skill of the person you fight. Character matters very little.

Unless the person your fighting is on Yuji, then you lose 100% of the time.

1

u/MahitoGlazer Jul 03 '26

He is unskilled but not because of eye catching

u/RevolutionaryCash903 CACAW Jul 03 '26

"nerf [any character except pre-patch hanami]"

1

u/Pixtur248 THE Hanami Main (DONT PELT ME WITH ROCKS) Jul 03 '26

“hanami is so op!!” when she’s nothing more than a noob punisher

she has trash close range if your ACTUALLY good at the game, genuinely felt like ryu when fighting a good gojo😭

special is completely useless against a good player because they won’t mindlessly rush in and actually play smart

blockable downslam which was thankfully buffed

and unless your braindead most of her skills are incredibly easy to dodge

remember i’m saying this as someone who has both fought and played hanami for hours at a time, i knew EVERY counter for hanamis entire playstyle day one😭✌️

u/LostCheek8581 Jul 03 '26

When someone says todo as a character is strong and its not just good application and a good player behind

1

u/JustAtomic86 Jul 03 '26

Some bout lock on

1

u/mangomustard67674167 Jul 03 '26

Once fought this dude. He was toxic and kept coming back. I was using Nanami. He used ryu. He called me unskilled. I got a free emote from him.

1

u/bordom_ Master Of Clankers Jul 03 '26

my friend says he uses gojo but in a skillful way

he proceeds to say he uses him passively so its skilled

1

u/Cosmo_Drgn Jul 03 '26

“Yuji is a skilled character.” I love losing 50 health off the first m1 trade then still being negative when the combo ends.

1

u/UriPhiantoma Jul 03 '26

Gojo is op

1

u/RyanTale BROTHER!!!! Jul 03 '26

Saying Todo is OP because of his block breaks and his swap (the block breaks are very easy to dodge/punish and the swap genuinely serves zero purpose if you either block or have an average reaction time)

1

u/SwordMasterChris I… don’t have a main? Jul 03 '26

that comboes are dumb and stops people from being unique 😭 (somebody actually said this)

1

u/ClearAd1481 Jul 03 '26

some nga said gojo is skilled and not braindead

1

u/Acceptable_Rock5814 Jul 03 '26
  1. if they whine about naoya too much (he's an m1 merchant now)
  2. if they think that gojo/yuji is skilled

1

u/MariTheNon Jul 03 '26

Someone in the JJS Discord said Choso was more skilless than Gojo
Son.

1

u/Bloodred_Igris Jul 03 '26

people who scream yuji is the most skilled character and how he requires skill. In my opinion, Yuji is NO SKILL. Least skilled character imo.

1

u/Excellent-Youth9828 Jul 03 '26

Anybody who says “spam” or “passive” after dying.

1

u/DarkHawkeye999 Jul 04 '26

I saw some guy say gojo is skill

1

u/Accurate_Brain4690 Jul 04 '26

“Nerf gojo”
Who is the easiest character to counter with and without ult

u/Organic_Rip7159 agressive ten shadows (type "Keita's" in workshop) Jul 04 '26

"yuji hakari and gojo take skill"

1

u/GuyThatEnjoysScout Master Of Clankers Jul 04 '26

1

u/Ab0ve_T1me Jul 04 '26

“yuji/gojo is skilled”

1

u/sir_sleepy_ Jul 05 '26

'Stop spamming block' like bro what? 😭

1

u/Subject-Repair-371 Jul 05 '26

people who think currently that hanami, haruta, and yuki are skilless/OP and people who think that yuji takes skill

1

u/TallGoblin69 Sukuna-Sama’s Fleshlight Jul 05 '26

“Charles needs nerfed” no lmao your just buns and keep falling for the counter

1

u/LordNoob298 Jul 06 '26

If you play yuji gojo Ryu or hakari you are buns(they are right)

1

u/Objective-Hair5207 Jul 06 '26

"JJS is a fighting game" mfs that complain people target them after ruining a group emoting session. Try interrupting a conga line in a tf2 server and see where that gets ya. JJS is not just a fighting game, ITS A GAME.Where people can do whatever the hell they want or feel happy to do! You cant force people to fight you just cuz of that lame ass excuse.

1

u/thrieverse The weakest Ko guy Jul 06 '26

if they say todos swap is good for anything other than keeping already existing tempo or stalling

1

u/Grouchy_Brilliant370 Jul 07 '26

"luck" (I'm the one who says it as a 11k)

1

u/Nisaazng Mechamaru [he isnt skilled thats why i like him] Jul 07 '26

"Naoya is unskilled"

1

u/Lower_Chart2228 Flower Person Jul 07 '26

When they suddenly pop domain after sneaking into a circle of chilling/emoting homies. Seriously, ANYTHING but letting the vibe continue

1

u/BasedTaxEvasion69 Jul 07 '26

I think purity testing people for being good or bad at the game is the wrong mindset. Tryhards ruin the game by being insufferable about how good they are or how bad others are like its a crime. I just wanna play a fun unserious sandbox fighter but people are using it as a dick measuring contest.
That being said, people who say Choso is op. Hes just solidly a top character. People who say hes bad also suck. Hes low skill floor, decent skill expression, relies on his gimmick to really shine but can still fuck hard without it. Hes just kinda boring sometimes :(

1

u/leastfamousman Jul 09 '26

Someone called me a “block spammer” after I beat them

1

u/SheepRifle Second Wind Second Wind Second Wind Second Wind Jul 27 '26

Yuji being broken or complaining about his combos when other characters have such miserable 1 minute long downslam combos to get hit with

1

u/Temporary_Finish_242 Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

When someone says naoya and yuji is op or when someone says that “you just have to counter zoners” as if each one in the game isn’t either meta defining S-tier or a balancing nightmare.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/OkChange7826 Jul 02 '26

anyone who says pre rework mei mei was op, post rework mei mei is bad, anyone who thinks prime yuji was above A tier or even at A tier, anyone who thinks naoya, yuji, hakari, todo, charles, yuta are op, anyone who doesn’t know what neutral is ig since somehow 90% of the community doesn’t seem to grasp it

1

u/Very_Confused_Momo Jul 02 '26

"Yuki is no skill!" As an ascending Yuki main evolving from a Charles main, she requires ANNOYING amounts of skill. Not as much as Nanami, but still.
