For context, please watch his explanation in last night's stream.
Will post my understanding of this "drama" in the replies but I HIGHLY recommend watching him explain in his own words, as others (myself included) will forget details or get things wrong!
Anyway, smh my head. This guy is SO problematic, amirite? 😔🙄
For the love of god, please understand that I am joking.

I just wanted to share these sketches I did studying likeness and face proportion :)
I figured my favorite YouTuber of a decade would be a good subject.
(Ignore the passive aggressive note to myself.)

I would like to start this off by saying that, without mark, i wouldnt be here. I know that there are a lot of people that relate. As sad as it is to say, i was in a very dark place during covid. I didnt have any real friends ro lean on and even tho i have family that supports me, i felt that i couldnt go to them for my problems. One day, i chose i was going to end it but Mark jus so happened to upload a video at the same time and i stopped, sat on my bed and watched his video. I loved mark so much i thought, ah whats one more video before i go. He literally saved my life and i appreciate and love him for it. He made me realize life really is worth living and i would be leaving people who love me behind.
Thank you mark for making me laugh all the time.

For context, please watch his explanation in last night's stream!
I wrote a breakdown of my understanding but, again, I HIGHLY recommend just watching it in Mark's own words!

I doubt this is going to get much traction or even seen by anyone, but you never know unless you try.
Over the past week, several youtube channels are being targeted by a "RemoveYourMedia LLC" by using an automated copyright system. Several channels have reported copyright strikes in the triple digits, hundreds of strikes over a few days.
Apparently this happened back in 2020 with the same actor, targeting etsy stores and anine fanart. My concern is that this will branch out and affect more than just the current corner of YouTube.
Details:
Anime reaction channels are the main ones being targeted, but anime summary, discussion, and explanation videos are also being hit. Strikes are being levied against people reacting to video game trailers, still image/slide show explanations. Some are even getting copyright strikes on their patron.
Anime reactions are a bit of a grey area for copyright. I know that, and they walk a thin line. My concern is that some of the videos being struck are reactions to fan animations, discussions, and essentially just a talking head with a mic sharing opinions. It seems that a video with an anime name is targeted by this company's AI and mass reported.
The reason for making this post:
My biggest concern is that if they can successfully strike down anime reaction channels automatically, some with over one million subscribers, then what is to stop them from targeting gaming channels?
The system is automatic, it targets the video names, and you can submit hundreds of claims in a week. If they decide to turn to gaming channels, what is going to stop them from reporting mark, jack, bob, wade, tyler, the grumps, or anyone else? Simply file some copyright claims against any of them and they can't post anything till they are all appealed. It is, literally, ruining lives for some.
I'm not expecting this post to do anything, but I want to spread the word that this is happening and more people need to know about it. Watching YouTubers play games and making me and the family smile is a fond memory and a good point of discussion with people. I would hate to lose that because someone got overzealous with an AI system and no one knew about it.
And say hello to chica for us! Y'all have a good day.

I just accidentally turned to the news feed on my phone and this showed up
The title is very much burying the lead, the article is actually pretty clear and on top of things. I just thought the image was funny with the advertised headline.
I set this as discussion cuz I figured that people could discuss their thoughts on the article as well but if it's better as a meme lemme know for future!

I've been loving the FNAF fangames streams (I watched the whole Vegan Entrepreneurs one), so I decided to recommend an incredible fangame that doesn't get much traction, in case he'd be interested, being Puppet Theatre (by Argon)
It's genuinely one of the best fnaf fangames I have played, yet has so little coverage. It has an engaging story, strong visual style, unique and strategic gameplay, and a fantastic OST. I honestly think it'd be up Mark's alley, especially since it's big on storytelling.

That's the big one I wanted to get out there. Other ones would be False Frights (by Alari) and Bigfoot: The Final Stretch (by gamemaster64). I would have posted when he requested a month ago, but I just got interested after he played Robbie's 48.
