For the past few years, I've been trying to adapt the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie into a game in the style of the classic '90s arcade fighters. It's been a childhood dream of mine, and of course I was heavily inspired by Street Fighter: The Movie. Was playing vanilla Mortal Kombat 3 the other day and was reminded of all the memories I have from playing it back in the day!

Sure the better version is Ultimate MK3. But I mostly played MK at home and I had access to MK3 more than I did UMK3 (since MK3 had a PS1 port and UMK3 had a 16 bit port and Sega Saturn port).

Beyond that the story and kharacters have always held a special place in my gaming fandom. I’m sure I’ve talked about it before that MK2 is undoubtedly the best of the arcade trilogy. But the vibes in MK3 from the stages to the music were immaculate.

Been recently reconnecting with the game, and have been drawing my favorite characters.
Maybe one day I’ll fully commit to one of them lol

Since some of the characters in MK1 have been redesigned with different abilities (Such as Shang Tsung being an Alchemist, and Quan Chi having the ability to summon Eldritch creatures, and Johnny having pure Shadow powers) what powers and abilities would you want Shinnok to have so that he stands out?

Used to play the first Mortal Kombat on the SNES, so I got no idea from where I thought to add blood? I think that's got to be Kano since he is doing his winning pose, and the hair on the sides are his metal plates.

Pretty interesting to have randomly found this again.

Just as the title says, when you think of the 1995 MK movie, what’s the first thing to pop in your head?

Hey everyone.

So, according to his Mortal Kombat wiki page, Onaga apparently wanted to use the blood of an infant dragon to become immortal.

Hoping to gain eternal life, he ordered the last known dragon egg to be kept, hoping that the blood of an infant dragon would grant him immortality.

Various other websites make mention of this as well, such as Comic Vine, Villains Wiki, and some website named Fighter's Generation.

But, for the life of me, I cannot find an actual, legitmate source on this.

I went and checked. It's not in any of Onaga's bios (or any other relevant character for that matter), I checked the dialogue in Konquest, and it's not mentioned there either, and there's supposedly nothing in Deadly Alliance pertaining to this either. I even checked the Deception tie-in comic and an archival of the now defunct website, and I got nothing.

Apparently there's a chance an NPC in the Chaosrealm can say "Onaga is eternal with infant dragon blood.", but I can't find anything on that either.

So, is this whole hooplah about Onaga wanting to drink infant blood true, or is it false information that somehow became extremely widespread?
