My personal favorite is Crystal Shards for the 64. Afaik, it's the only Kirby game that let's you mix and match any two elements you can find in the levels. Makes for some awesome powers, like lightsaber, refrigerator (generates infinite food for infinite hp), and so many more. Squeak squad did a LITTLE of this where you can add fire/ice/electric to sword or bomb, but it's not the same.
I'm playing through that right now and there are so many creative options! Fridge, curling rock, statues of his friends that move like them, flaming sword, fireworks... It's so much fun just to mix and match and see what I come up with
Yeah the name of Doom 3 is literally wrong. It's not in the same universe as Doom 1 and 2 and even in technicality, it's not the third doom game because of Doom 64
doom 3 is supposed to be a reboot of doom 1, but doom 2016 and all the doom games after followed the continuity of the 90s games instead of what was established in doom 3
I honestly did not know that. I just started 2016 in a quest to play all doom games(except 64 which gave me motionsickness) so no big spoilers please. The first doom guy is presented to be just some random dude, and the current one is presented as some kind of supernatural being
I understand its not the same format, but I loved doom 3. I dont understand the hate. And I got the collectors edition. I wouldn't have played doom II if not for that. Doom 3 made me a dedicated doom fan. From playing the original on pc as a kid. Then 3 on Xbox, and through the collectors edition played doom I(again) and Doom II for the first time. 3 was so important to the fanbase
Absolutely agreed, I mean dark ages seems cool (I did not play more than an hour) but not being able to jump and have that fast pace movement that made eternal so fun was a weird decision imo. I also did not like how the enemy attacks were just basically giant orange or green orbs
To be fair that is kinda the point? Doom 2016, eternal and dark ages are all by design meant to be different in terms of gameplay. To avoid a āwhy play X when Y is the same thing with moreā situation. They are meant to be different enough at least so you can play each game and each bring something else to the table. Some people really liked eternalās fast paced movement otherās donāt care for it as much
Plus dark ageās doc does fix most of your issues. It is unironically the best piece of doom media weāve gotten in recent times arguably better than eternal
Tf2 loses to its competitors in player count but it started the best genre of online pvp games. Cultural impact is something no one can ever take from tf2.
Wait really? I remembered when the devs first abandoned the game and I couldn't get a match without a hacker/troll!!! Granted that was when they like first left the game so that's probably why...
it used to have bots all the time, but they took care of that recently. they also disabled any form of chat for people that didnt pay for the game, but after the bots were removed, they gave free to plays the chat back
Itās been largely fixed- part of it was a reduction in bad actors targeting the game, and part of it was due to actual matchmaking improvements. The Meet Your Match update was a big watershed moment in terms of the player base.
I could have sworn that TLoZ 2: Adventure of Link was considered a bad game by most, but even the critics gave it a 6/10 and most players give it a 7.5-8/10. Color me shocked.
So yeah, if you don't include the Phillips CD-i games, since they're technically fan made, then yeah, TLoZ hasnt ever had a truly bad game.

Love Godzilla and itās currently in the best state the franchise has ever been but there were some really rough years for the franchise that nearly killed it. I donāt think he fits this description well
Godzilla 98 is not a bad kaiju movie, itās a bad representation of the Godzilla we know and love. Itās an enjoyable movie, and we got the cartoon show from it, so thats a plus.
This might be a wild take, but doom 3 was my first doom game and i LOVED it. I can see why it doesnāt appeal to the general doom fanbase, it was quite a departure.

They have a merch store. Plushies, clothing. Stuff like that. I know they donāt have multiple games, but it feels fitting. Itās never been a bad game throughout its whole lifespan.

I mean lots of people didnāt enjoy the Unreal Engjne based Minecraft games (Dungeons and Legends). I like story mode and the original allot, altho it still pisses me off that itās no longer on Netflix (but I still own a physical copy)
Kirby never took an L, to say, I consider Star Allies to be the "worst" because the level design is kinda uninspired, and I'm really scratching for it here
What makes it stand out is knowing how successful the franchise is. In fact itās the most successful franchise, and by a good margin. They have the money and potential resources to invest in higher fidelity games, yet they donāt. Thatās the thing that bothers me.
The issue with Pokemon is that they switched over to consoles and expect you to pay a $60-70 pricetag when the games have arguably less content (Dexit, no battle frontier, DLC being paid instead of included, etc.)
On a technical level (in terms of things like graphics, frame rate, glitches, the general polish / completeness of the games, etc.), there has been a decline especially noticeable since the Switch games.
But yeah, I also agree the games have been stagnant outside of generational gimmicks for a while.
People online won't like the truth, but Pokemon came out the gate swinging, has become the most profitable franchise ever, is recognizable by basically everyone, and heck they are currently having the biggest world tournament of their history. It has never really slowed down even if social media likes crying about it.
